Great restaurant week stop! The food was amazing and a great way to sample the menu! Only disappointment was they ran out of the chicken truffle and one of the desserts, but still a great visit. I definitely recommend any foodie try Amada!

Served by Rusty, during restaurant week. We ordered everything together per his request. Second dish didn't come for 45 minutes and not even after we asked twice. Rusty was nowhere to be found and had not checked with us within those 45 minutes to make sure all was ok. When we finally got around things, they had to cook the dish at that point which meant our main dish arrived l over an hour after appetizers. Finally, Rusty came to inform us that because it was late (no wonder, we'd been waiting for an hour for our food!) there was no desert left that we had ordered. The manager (?) Melody was very polite and took care of one of the dinners but this was definitely not the experience we expected at one of the so-called best Philly restaurants

My girlfriend and I went During Restaurant Week and were very impressed with the offerings they had for this occasion. Long story short, the food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to quickly and accurately answer any questions we had about the menu items. The space itself was very energetic; a lot of buzz in the dining room throughout the night. The short rib flatbread is an absolute must have, and I was very impressed with their chicken dish adorned with a fried egg; a lot of flavor in a petite package.

I've dined out many times in various Philly restaurants (particularly during restaurant week) and this was one of the best experiences I've had. The service was friendly, fast and attentive. The restaurant itself was designed very nice and made you feel like you still had some privacy even though the tables were close together. The food was fantastic. I loved everything I tried. I would definitely recommend Amada.

I've gone two years in a row now, and am already planning to go back next year. The special menu was almost identical the two years, which allowed me to have another taste of the things I remembered the most from last year, which were the lavender honey and the shrimp flatbread, while also trying something new. The melon con jambon has stayed with me, and that's what will bring me back next year. If you are dining on a budget, Restaurant Week is definitely the time to check this place out. Highly recommended.

we brought another couple here for the first time and all of us really enjoyed the food. some standouts were the ham and melon (this is the best melon i have ever had). the ribs melted in your mouth and the flavors were tremendous. both flat breads, shrimp and short ribs are excellent. I always love the wine selection by the glass and now drink more spanish wines than any other. been here a few times and have never been disappointed, always consistently very good.

This was the first time that I went to Amada during Restaurant Week. We have been there several times and consider it our favorite spot. Not sure if we would be happy with the limited menu we were very pleasantly surprised with items offered. Many of our favorites were available. My girlfriend and I decided to go to Amada for an early dinner on Sunday of Restaurant Week, and were generally impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere. This place is ideal for people who like to share, as you might expect from a tapas place, but the restaurant week setup gave us the chance to try eight dishes and two desserts between us. Among the highlights were the hanger steak brochettes, cod, and gambas. Simpler plates like the chorizo and manchego were well-executed and high quality. Although the best dishes were excellent (most of them), some of the other selections were decent but not particularly memorable. Would recommend.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday during Restaurant Week. Service was excellent. The Restaurant Week menu was fairly limited, and the choices I made (gazpacho soup, grilled chorizo, grilled calamari and chocolate cake) were very ordinary, and I do not feel was typical of the wow flavors that Jose Garces offers. To truly experience this place, I would come back for a full tasting menu.

We live in Allentown, so this was only our second trip. The first time we went with a group of 4 or 5 and ordered the chef's tasting menue, which was superb. This time we were only 2 and happened to go during restaurant week, so the menu was more limitted and there was no tasting menu. (I was warned about this when I made my reservation). However, there were several choices for the first and second course (only 2 dessert options) and you got to pick 2 each from the first and second couse lisings. The ambience was very nice (no tiny tables jammed right up against your neighbor's), the service prompt, and the food delicious. My favorites were the salad with arugula and fava beans in th first course and the calamari in the second.

We were a party of 7 with a res at 10PM on Friday night. The place was really busy, which is expected because it was restaurant week. We did not sit down until 10:30PM because there was a party before us that took a while to leave, so that was kind of annoying at first, HOWEVER, the manager greeted our table with a complimentary champagne toast which was greatly appreciated. The food was amazing, service was great, overall - it was a great dining experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Our server's name was Ben and he did a great job!

I enjoyed Amada very much. The food was spectacular and the service was impeccable. However, the only thing that I did not enjoy was the tight seating. I dined with my husband and we were seated next to two other couples. The tables were so close that each couple had their wife/girlfriend squeeze between the tables to sit in the booth. Because of this it felt awkward to have a conversation. Other than that the whole experience was amazing.

Amada does not disappoint during restaurant week. They offer 5 total selections per person (including dessert) so even only dining with one other person gives more than enough different tastes. My favorite items were the croquettes and the custard dessert. I couldn't place what was on top of the custard but perhaps it was finely diced pear-like fruit, craisin-ish item and some kind of chopped nut. Together it was unbelievably light but complex and delicious!

We were there for restaurant week and it was extraordinarily busy so I am not sure that the 3 star rating for service is fair. However, in my opinion, an establishment's management should be aware of very busy times and staff appropriately, so I cannot give them 5 stars for service as I feel our service was very lacking. This is not a place for a quiet, romantic dinner as the tables are about 6" apart and the noise level literally required my husband and I to yell at each other across the table to be heard. All that said, the food was exceptional from the gazpacho to the garlic shrimp. We also had the custard for desert which was over-the-top fantastic! Over all I would recommend this place highly, but not during restaurant week.

Unfortunately we ate here during restaurant week, which meant our choices were very limited. Not sure the $35 price was worth what you got as we both left hungry. Amada was quite a nice surprise. The cuisine was tasty and diverse in regards to the selection. Just arriving from Barcelona I smiled as my friend and I chose Amada off of the OpenTable website. I thought --- how will this tapas compare of a country where the fabric of society is based on the cuisine? After enjoying the cured meats, cheese, crab and pepper dish (especially yummy) and pork with the crispy skin ---- Needless to say ----- We compare quite well in my opinion!

This restaurant was recommended by strangers, it was an easy walk from our hotel near the independence park area. We choose the higher end sampling menu ($65 each) with the wine pairing ($35 each). While a lot to eat, everything was amazing. The wine pourings were four 3 oz. pours (5 oz. was a option) and they were perfectly matched Spanish wines. Our server was very well informed and very helpful. The service was excellent. We were not rushed at all. Amada is an outstanding restaurant!

we really liked the now-closed amada in atlantic city, so sought this location out in philly. not the same menu, unfortunately, and it seemed to be particularly light on vegetable options (i.e., the greens and the sauteed scallions that we loved at the other location nicely rounded out excellent meats and cheeses). chef sent out complementary tuna dip with garlic points that ended up being a highlight, so hope they add to menu. i personally don't know enough about spanish wines, and would have liked to learn so i don't always default to sangria (a couple adjectives next to the listings, as wine bars do, perhaps?) i really appreciated the fact that the table size can accommodate many plates; too many tapas restaurants don't get this.

Last night I reserved a table at Amada. My man and I got engaged....but he was very nutritionally depleted from an exhausting 9 days....he literally saved my life (long story). So we decided to "let our food be our medicine"... only complaint was that we were not able to get the organs from the lobster when we ordered the Paella.....but that was in impulsive medical decision:)....so, next time I'll ask ahead. Great service by Victoria, we received the royal treatment from all. Very respectful of their clientele. Forever grateful, Jose Garces...you've brought true love to philly through your food....see you soon....
