  • "One of the best restaurants I have been to in Philly."

  • "Made reservations for restaurant week and totally impressed. Great food and location! You won't be disappointed."
    Dined on 7/21/2014
  • "Great atmosphere, On time seating, LOUSY SERVICE, Great looking food with NO taste, and limited menu choices for younger dinners Would not recommend going back, better food at TGI Fridays and better service at McDonalds"

  • "Excellent choice for a Sunday lunch during restaurant week. Just the right amount of wonderful food at the right price!"

  • "I have always been a fan of Amada, but this Sunday when I went there for the Old City Restaurant Week Menu- I was utterly disappointed!!! May be this was the first time that I visited during one of the Restaurant Week. While most of the items in the Restaurant Week menu were from the main menu, the portions were small, the flavors were lacking and the succulence (where needed) was missing. Even my favorite "Amadian sauces" lacked their distinct tang. And to top this, the service was very lousy. They changed our waiter thrice and they had completely forgotten about the dessert. We waited patiently for the dessert for up to 1 hour and 20 minutes after our main course was done, but still no body came with a dessert!"

  • "I have dined at Amanda many times--but never before dark. The same stellar cocktails and tasty tapas that are offered for dinner are also available before 5... And then some. The breakfast options are plentiful and delicious. They also offer tapas, salads, and sangria, which are all perfect for a morning meal (and to nurse a hangover.) hate to share the secret as it's easier to get in for brunch than dinner but they deserve to be packed for that quality and price."

  • "My husband and I were recommended to this restaurant by a waiter from red stone in marlton. Definitely lived up to the hype. Great food and cool atmosphere. Some delay getting seated and our waiter just disappeared at the end but didn't detract from the place."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "Food was good, but tapas portions are very small. Not a great value, even for fine dining. Service was mediocre at best. Wouldn't return."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "We had the tapas and the wine tasting. It was delicious but some of were still Hungry after and wine was definitely not worth the money for the amount of wine You get"
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "Good place for a date, especially if you can sit in the rear where the lighting is more romantic and it's easier to talk. If the range of what you eat is limited though make sure to tell your server before opting for the tasting menu. Everything I ate was delicious."

  • "Always love and enjoy Amada. I brought my friend and her mom who were visiting from out of town. They were so please, they went back for lunch the next day. :)"
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "Tapas is my favorite food style. Amada presents a variety of delicious options. We really enjoyed a manchego cheese plate with lavendar honey, bread, and apple slices. The spicy potatoes are incredibly savory and yummy. We tried pork ribs with yogurt that were just falling off the bone delicious, and also wagyu beef brochettes that had an amazing sauce. Finally, we enjoyed eggplant with goat cheese and asparagus with a very creamy egg on top. For dessert, the simple chocolate cake with caramel. Wonderful food, drinks. company, and cozy atmosphere make Amada a very special place."

  • "The food was terrific and perfect size portions! When it was clear that my wife was uncomfortable in the table we were given (she recently had foot surgery), the manager (on his/her own) graciously offered to move us to a more spacious table."
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "The several tapas we tried were excellent. Paella was decent. As with many of these types of restaurants I find it difficult to anticipate portions, but our waiter was fairly helpful and we left satisfied after three of us shared four tapas and one paella, along with two desserts (which might have been overkill but were tasty."

  • "Great place to go if you want to try a lot of different things, as most of the menu items are in the form of small, affordable, sharable portions"

  • "This was our first time at Amada, having received a gift certificate from our daughter. Our server could not have been more friendly and attentive at all times, suggesting the perfect wine, beer, etc. Food was great! Especially loved the sauteed wild mushrooms and the delightfull and varied flatbreads! Love tapas! Brought back memories of our tapas experience in Madrid at the Plaza Major! Will definitely come again! The only negative was that we sat at a table for two practically rubbing elbows with the 2 people at the next table, and their conversation was very loud. But then, everything can't be perfect!"

  • "We had another wonderful meal at Amada. Every item we ordered was delicious especially the short rib flatbread. Highly recommend for variety and excellent flavors. We love the food so much we have decided to have our daughters wedding at The Kimmel Center where Jose Garces is the caterer. Can't wait."

  • "The food was tasty. It took a while for things to come out. I know the make when ordered but it still look a bit of time."

  • "This is a rstaurants where chefs go when they can. Food is very good and authentic; i have been coming to this location for years and recommend it to anyone who asks."

  • "GREAT! As always! :) Would recommend to a friend or family! Food is to DIE for! :)"
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "I would have to say the quality of the food was not as high as the bill; I won't be going back any time soon. Additionally, our bill was wrong the first two times it was sent to our table, which is annoying."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "Food, service, ambiance were exceptional and as expected however the noise level was a significant distraction. the food, wine and overall experience would have been so much more enjoyable if one could communicate without shouting."

  • "Excellent food and service"".............."...................."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "We enjoyed every tapas selection we made; we especially loved the eggplant with whipped goat cheese, the bacalao, and the pork shoulder. Our service was attentive but unhurried. The back room was a bit dark, while the front room was much brighter, but both had an appealing ambience. Amada is a foodies' paradise!"

  • "The food and drinks were delightful. We told the waiter we were pressed for time due to another engagement and he was able to accommodate us superbly."
    Dined on 7/10/2014
  • "Amada is consistently excellent and a real bargain for lunch. Seasonal gazpacho velvety and refreshing, salads perfectly dressed and generous portions, chocolate sorbet perfect texture and temperature."
    Dined on 7/10/2014
  • "Our server was very knowledgable and helpful. The food is as good as ever. The menu has not changed much since they opened, but it's large enough that there is always something new to try."
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "A chef Garces gem in the heart of Philadelphia. This is a great restaurant for a quick bite with friends and a glass of sangria or for a full culinary tapas experience. My only negative comment is that they only serve their signature paellas on the dinner menu and it cannot be ordered for lunch."
    Dined on 7/6/2014
  • "I chose to bring my family to Amada for a special occasion. My mother's 75th birthday because of my past two experiences was amazing. Well, this time the customer service was terrible. The waiter was miserable and uninterested in serving us. I mentioned it was my mother's first time here at this was her 75th birthday he could care less. The food was good, not great. We could have gone to any restaurant but we chose this one because of my past experience. I am not sure if we would ever go back for brunch."

  • "We booked at Amada for our anniversary because we know that the food is consistently excellent and great for foodies like us. They also mix great cocktails and provide excellent service."
    Dined on 7/3/2014
  • "I love this place! Order your own or let the chef decide..you can not go wrong. The flavors all mix so well. It can get a little loud and the tables are close together, but it does help you see what others are ordering. We always wind up chatting with the neighboring tables and find it enjoyable."

  • "Ham croquettes and baked goat cheese were pretty terrible."
    Dined on 7/2/2014
  • "Amada has a menu for the foodie who is tired of the "ho-hum" menus. A delicate blend of tradition mixed with some unusual, almost exotic combinations. For instance, lavendar honey with an accent of truffle oil for the fruit, cheese and small bread plate! We tasted over 10 different Tapas and more than enjoyed all but the cod. Service was outstanding, food came out quick, warm and delighful."
    Dined on 7/1/2014
  • "Do the chef special for $55 and let the chef pick what to serve you. You won't be let down. Make sure you are hungry. It's 4 courses, each course contains multiple dishes. Best meal I've had in years."
    Dined on 6/30/2014
  • "After all the hype I was excited to try Amada. Sold mediocre with nothing standing out except the appalling valet. After eating I waited at the station for 15 minutes. Seeing no action I walked inside the restaurant and the hostess came out with me, looked all over, went back inside and 5 minutes later the valet shows up with my car. I still had the ticket. Once I got in I realized I must have been the last car and from the smell in the car he had been waiting in it for quite some time."

  • "Delicious food at Amada; the "Catalan Express Lunch" was a great deal! Service was warm and friendly. Will definitely come back and bring friends!"
    Dined on 6/30/2014
  • "I can't say enough about our experience at Amada. The food was not your average tapas- everything had big flavor and was clearly made from only the highest quality ingredients. Our service was also impeccable. One person in our party had a serious gluten allergy and the server produced a special menu just for her and announced every dish by specifying if it as safe for her to try. I would recommend the place to anyone and will definitely be going back!"

  • "Had dinner for five Sunday night celebrating a birthday. Lucked out with a table in their semi private room in the back. Food and service was excellent. Sometimes we worry about being forgotten by the the wait staff when seated in a back room. Not so on this visit. We were well attended to, never forgotten but not in an overbearing way. It was just the way we like it. Meatballs are killer. Bacon wrapped dates are unbelievable. It was all great. Make reservations way in advance, very hard to get in."

  • "Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. We have been to two other Chef Garces restaurants, Tinto and Chifa and found them more enjoyable. Here, the spicy potatoes were excellent, as was the filet, cheese and sliced meats (mixto). Not so enjoyable for me was the very fatty pork (could have used a few more beans accompanying). Flatbread was excellent as was chocolate cake for dessert. I'd go again and order differently. Our wait person was okay--just not remarkable and not terribly friendly--but got the job done. Servers delivering plates and clearing the table were very professional and described everything as it was placed on the table. It's a beautiful space and very lively. Be careful not to sit under the air-conditioning vent--too cold!"

  • "For the price, go to Buddakhan next door instead. We expected the portions to be small but they were so small that we couldn't even share between four people. The food preparation was also disappointing. For a $350.00 bill for four people, I really expect a great dining experience. This was a big let-down."
