Diner Reviews
  • "We had a party of four. We are all tapas connoisseurs. Though is a bit pricey, they were all outstanding. We sat at the bar and our bartender was attentive and informative. All the tapas were done to perfection. Will definitely visit again and recommend."

  • "Outstanding food, outstanding service . Outstanding view and Outstanding ambiance - need I say more?"

  • "The food was fair to good. We ordered the tasting manu for $55 each and then realised that we did not have choice of any of the Tapa. It was refreshing to get to taste many dishes, some were good, some were just fair. The ambient of the restaurant was great and a little bit noisy and ocean front. I would recommend this retaurent just because of all the different variety of the dishes and the ambient. Next time when I go, I'll order a la cart. You can pick and choose many different dishes for $110 for two people."

  • "8 oz of juicy burger. Requested for medium well and burger was so juicy and tasty. One of the best burgers. The pernil sandwich was excellent. "

  • "We can't complain about the food or service..there was one problem. When I made the reservation I included a request for a private/romantic table. We didnt get this AT ALL. Our table was in the center of the restaurant. It was next to the main walk through for all servers going to/from kitchen. Any other table would have been more private/romantic. We asked to switch but were told no by hostess. I know my request was received because we were provided with a dessert for anniversary(thanks!) I'm not sure if we were supposed to get a different table because there did seem to be something going on when we arrived. The hostesses were speaking in hushed tones amongst themselves. I would have preferred to be told what happened. Thank you."

  • "Good tapas. Some much better than others. Our waiter made good suggestions which really helped. He even steered us away from a few which I appreciate even more"
    Dined on 4/16/2014
  • "We really enjoyed Chef Garces' menu! Our server recommended 3-4 dishes per person since the food is served tapas style. We ordered 7 dishes and found that to be way too much food. Our server appeared to be in training, which presented with some challenges, but we were amazed at the number of other people who helped her out, resulting in a great experience! The food was delicious, although we didn't care for the last dish we were served, which was based on our personal tastes, not the quality of the food. We loved all of our other dishes. Would recommend Amada!"

  • "I love the openness of this restaurant - floor to ceiling view of the Atlantic, open kitchen & spacious! - many tables that are not crowded together. The artisinal spanish olives are wonderful, a variety of colors & sizes with orange & chili flavored oil for dressing. Salada Verde sounds pedestrian, but not this version! This was delicious-crisp chopped romaine, fennel, green beans, fava beans and chunks of avocado, with a sort-of-creamy avocado based dressing and topped with a few triangles of mild cheese. The Spicy Patatas are light & flavorful - I could not come here without getting them! Dessert was completely homemade & completely fabulous - bunuelos (doughnuts) with date & olive oil ice cream & date jam & cafe con leche. Go, ASAP!"

  • "Some of the best tapas I have ever had. Everything was amazing. Food kept coming out that was better and yummier each time."

  • "Not having eaten at a tapas style restaurant before, this experience left me wanting to add this type of dining to my favorites. The staff made the evening very pleasant from the minute we walked into Amada. After 2 hours of tasting and drinking, tasting and drinking, my wife and I were very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend Amada to anyone going to AC and or in the area looking for a deliciously different experience."

  • "The tapas were amazing. Octopus and Serrano ham out of this word. The wine was just as good. We had a table looking at the ocean. No complains, it was a lovely evening."

  • "Amada is one of my favorite restaurants and the food in the Atlantic City location was excellent, but the service was not up to par. The server did not come to the table very often and when he did it seemed that he was flustered and not attentive. We had to ask twice for one of our tapas dishes that never came out and tell him what was still missing. It finally did as the last dish after waiting over 20 minutes from the previous tapas we received. This type of service is not what I expect from this type of restaurant. Dessert took just as long. I went up to the hotel room in Revel after we ordered, came back down, and still it was another 15 minutes before dessert arrived. Amada in Philly has flawless service."

  • "We had a great time, the food service and views were very good. I have nothing negative to say!"

  • "Dining on the ocean seemed like an absolute necessity while staying at The Revel. Awesome hotel, the restaurant has a modern spanish theme. Tapas is the way to go and I had the garlic shrimp and the Piquillo stuffed with crabmeat. Both were very good. The Serrano ham salad was big enough for two. A few drinks and I was casino bound."

  • "Food was great. Service was excellent. Didn't leave stuffed! :)"

  • "This was my first time dining at Amada. We only ate from the Tapas portion of the menu and everything we had was great. There were 5 of us, and we ordered several different plates to share. All were delicious - even things I wouldn't think I would like (octopus). The garlic shrimp were phenomenal - best I ever had. The shrimp were medium sized and cleaned to perfection. The garlic broth was bubbling when it was delivered. The chorizo & clams were great and there was bread for dipping!"

  • "We had a wonderful family get together, our Mother and four daughters. The hotel is new and modern. The staff and service was outstanding. It was a special surprise for our Mother, at 91 years old she couldn't take in all the trappings fast enough. We enjoyed the entire experience. Thank-you."

  • "Another Saturday night, another full house, and, everyone had a great time. Our special place , we try dining here on Saturday nights and the excitement is palpable. The scene is breathtaking, ocean views and beautiful decor, and great service. Don't be surprised if the waitstaff remember your name on your second visit. The wine list is extensive, cocktails so creative and of course the food is just spectacular. The hardest part is making a decision among which of the wonderful selections to try for dinner. Chicken, succulent cuts of meats and delicious seafood, are all part of the pallet that is reflected in the Tapas and entrees. Of course, no dinner would be complete without sampling some of the fabulous dessert choices. Amada, enjoy!"

  • "The view is beautiful! Our server was excellent and very helpful. We ordered the beef chief choice and everything that was served to us was delicious and lots of it!"
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "We decided to do the $75 pp chef choice sampler. We were told we would receive a high end sampling. Although the food was tasty, I wouldn't consider the items outstanding. The presentation was great, however the items were not that original. Cheese, honey, pears, potatoes, etc, We felt like we received the vegetarian sampler, which shouldn't be that expensive. I may recommend Amada to a friend because the view of the ocean is beautiful and I wouldn't mind having a cocktail at the bar with a couple of tapas. However I wouldn't recommend Amada for dinner."

  • "My husband and are at all 3 Garces restaurants at The Revel over the weekend and they were all great! Food was perfectly prepared and delicious and the service was great! Ambiance at all of them is good as well! Amada's menu is inventive and interesting and we enjoyed our lunch very much. We are big fans and will be back very soon!"

  • "#1 Food, Views, Ambiance, Seating and Service in Atlantic City. Located in the Revel Hotel and Casino. Just order the tasting at $75.00t sit back enjoy the fantastic views in the modern rustic design where no seat is a bad seat and let the parade of food begin. Would recommend paying a little extra and get the Jamon Iberico added to the long list of tastings. The waiter Alberto, takes your dinning experience to a new level. His love and passion in all he does is second to none. Keep the great night going by getting a room in the best hotel in AC!!!"

  • "Had a great experience at the restaurant. The food was amazing. Top two favorite dishes were the braised short rib flatbread and the bacon wrapped dates!! I wish we had this place in my area. I frequent AC often and will be comingn back to Amada!"

  • "The service is very poor, the front desk waiter doesn't smile or welcome the customer, she seems unhappy about her job"
    Dined on 3/30/2014
  • "Food was excellent, but if you have a hearty eater with you, go somewhere else (unless you have alot of money). Plates were small, but delicious. You have to order alot of them to fill up. Your total bill would then come out to about $200.00 (this is with drinks). All in all, the experience was worth the one time for us. Felt like you were away, not in New Jersey."

  • "After a week of endless rain and several medical appointments, I was smiling because it was Saturday, our night for dinner at Amada. This place is our anchor, the restaurant we return to at least once a week for a festive and enjoyable evening. On the weekends, even in the winter, the restaurant is booked solid so reservations are recommended. It is a special treat to be here, couples enjoying a romantic dinner, families treating their children to something special, and in the larger rooms, bachelorette, anniversary, and birthday parties. All share something in common, they are having a wonderful time. For us it is always the same, wonderful service and a beautiful room and of course, fantastic food. Try Amada, you shall love it."

  • "Amada is the best of all things tapas. Great ocean views, awesome menu perfect service. Lamb meatballs, braised short rib horseradish flatbread, fava and lima bean salad. Garlic shrimp just a few of my favorite things!!!!"

  • "This was the first tapas restaurant I went to. My girlfriend and I loved it. Having 6 small dishes each with their own unique taste was a great setup for a meal and each dish tasted great! The service was great. Giving 2 dishes at time for the 2 of us was the perfect flow for our bellies. My girlfriend and I will definitely be going back."

  • "I have been to this specific Amada in Atlantic City a handful of times now and it has yet to disappoint me. I have been for special occasions or just getting out for a nice dinner, more than once I have ordered the chef's tasting and it is such a good idea especially for first timers that like to be surprised! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in AC that is different than the same old Italian restaurant or steakhouse!"

  • "It was our first time and we came to celebrate my husband's birthday. The place is pricey, and we didn't chose the tasting menu. We ordered several tapas, one of which were lamb chops with special sauces. It was good! Our server was Alberto, very good, very attentive, and called every customer on every table "my friend" and recommended dishes prepared by a Spanish chef. Alberto also mentioned a certain pork dish in the tapas menu is so good, and if we were to order the whole suckling pig that is delivered specially from Spain, it will cost us 2.5K. oh well, we didn't try it this time. I would recommend this place to our friends."

  • "The food here was absolutely fabulous. I love how they staggered the small plates to come at different times, it did not seem like it was an overload. Everything was absolutely delicious!"
    Dined on 3/27/2014
  • "Food was very tasty. Little on the pricey side for the quantity per plate of tapa (i.e. scallops - 2 scallops split into 4 pieces). No issue with the service, very attentive & provided good suggestions (i.e. Iberian pork). We were party of 4 & we were seated in a booth which is shaped like a giant bird cage (creative decor) by the window with a great view of the beach and the water....seats were very comfortable. The only complaint would be the pitcher of Sangria we ordered with our meal...too much ice and tasted watered down."
