Amada - Revel is consistently excellent. We had the Chef's selection and wine flight. Wonderful, as always. The food, wine, and service were all excellent despite the fact that in two days the restaurant was closing due to the closure of the Revel casino. Our hearts go out to all of the staff of the Amada. You have made our special occasions so wonderful by going beyond any other area restaurant (specially decorated desserts on our anniversary, romantic locations on our birthdays, etc.). Thank you for the wonderful memories and we hope that during this horrible crisis in AC that you all come out with even better positions.

Amada was one of the finest dining venues in AC. Hopefully, it shall resurface in another venue as it shall be missed. The food, service, room etc were all fabulous. We were regulars and while we enjoyed one last fabulous meal in this spectacular setting, it was bitter sweet. Thank you, Amada.

I ate at Amada at the Revel in its opening weekend in 2012, and now again in its closing weekend in 2014. This is a spectacular restaurant in a gorgeous facility; I can only hope that they both re-open. In the meantime, I remain a huge Jose Garces fan and will find other of his restaurants to enjoy.

  • NO WAY TO TREAT REGULAR CUSTOMERS!

Eat here at least twice a month when we visit AC. Food is excellent. Wait staff excellent. Had a 5:30 reservation. Only a very few tables for 4 were occupied. Yet, our waiter (never served us before) took us to a table near the service station. We asked to move over one table; several there were empty. He was very rude. He went to the front desk and told us no and to move to 2 separate tables for 2 in the bar area. Told him it was ridiculous and he stated "well, it's a table." We were set to leave until another server who recognized us as regular customers intervened with the front desk and got us a table. The other tables for 4 remained empty until we finished our meal. No way to treat anyone, let alone regulars.

Many favorite dishes here: empanada, green salad, tortilla espanola, garlic shrimp, just to name a few. Sadly the Amada in Revel is closing and i hope that a buyer is found or that Amada relocates to another location. Can't wait for the Battery Park location to open in 2015!

The warm goat cheese and the rib eye were delicious! The Tempranillo is fab and warm donuts and chocolate sorbet that tastes like great gelato were superb. Everyone was chatting due to Revel's closing so service was understandably distracted. But can't wait to try Amada in Philly (or when someone buys Revel and Amada (hopefully) reopens.

food was great, much variety, similar menu to Amada in old city Philadelphia. We ordered chef's tasting, which consisted of ten or eleven or twelve tapas -- too much food. we made the mistake of eating all of the early tapas (not realizing there would be so many more) and filled up. there were a few we did not care for, but most we did like trying the different tapas (when we go to Amada in Phila, we order fewer and do not try the different ones. I feel bad that we wasted food. it is a shame that Revel is closing this weekend; it is a beautiful hotel and casino - so much classier than the others. and Amada is a gorgeous restaurant with a great ocean view. I hope the employees can find new positions.

This was by far one of the best places I have ever gone to eat. We were in Avalon for the week and wanted to go to Revel before it closed so we looked through all the restaurants and picked Amada. I have been to the one in Philly and this one farrrr surpassed that one! From the ambiance, to the waiter to the food, it was all perfect! We did the chef's tasting menu and our waiter was so helpful and insightful. I am still thinking about the food we had and it's been 3 weeks!

Get there between now an September 1. We understand it will be closing but no fault of Amada. It is the problem with the hotel/casino. We think Amada is be best place in Atlantic city and now will not have a "go to" restaurant. We love it..the food...the service..and the view. No better!

I have been to this restaurant three times now. Each time was fantastic. I make my reservation via OT and make it a place I dine when I am in AC for a few days. Keep in mind that this restaurant can be very busy. The noise can be quite energetic. However, I love it. The food is FABULOUS. From the garlic shrimp, lamb meatballs, roasted white asparagus, and anchovies in endive, to the ham croquettes and manchego with lavender and truffle honey, it is all amazing. The olive oil cake tastes like Christmas. It is wonderful. I can't say enough about the fresh menu with such lively flavors. I realize that Revel is closing soon, but I hope that the resort will reopen soon.

From the moment we enter, everyone is friendly, making you feel special! The server has excellent knowledge of the food and wine . The server shows every concern that you will appreciate your selections from the menu. The food's presentation is very enticing, and the food is so delicious. My favorite is the paella! And the best Sangria I ever have, is Amadas'. I make sure that we go back to AC because it's worth coming back! We have come back three times in a year! Really worth the long drive from Virginia.

Five of us enjoyed a variety of beautifully prepared dishes: olives- big, small, green, black, purple and all unique flavors and delicious. Then, manchego with truffled, lavender honey - amazing! Followed by goat cheese with strawberry balsamic sauce - smooth and delectable. Next, Iberian pork -nothing better in this world and so perfectly cooked for a crispy skin protecting succulent slices of pork. Lastly, seafood paella and filet mignon (for the 2 allergic to seafood) - both "to die for!" Accompanied by a bottle of Rich Tempranillo wine (our server let us taste a few before deciding). A perfect night. No better tapas/Spanish delights anywhere outside of Spain like this! Thank you Jose Garces and staff!

Our waiter Joffrey was terrific. A shame they are closing on September 1.

From the rude hostess, the poor service to the lackluster food how the high & mighty have fallen! Have enjoyed both Amada locations many times, was thrilled when the AC store opened but after this experience it's possible but doubtful we'll ever visit even the Philly location again. For the price of an Amada much better can be found. Disappointing doesn't begin to cover it.

We went to Amada-Philadelphia 4 years ago for our anniversary and had an amazing evening! Complementary champagne, complementary dessert, amazing service. We checked out Amada-Revel for our anniversary this year. We had an amazing view of the beach, although the seats were very close to each other and our intimate dinner felt like we were sharing it with our neighbors. Our server was great, very friendly, and our food was delicious. However, our dessert took forever to come to the table and the coffee I ordered didn't come until after we got the check. I have to admit that despite telling them it was our anniversary when we made our reservation, they didn't do anything extra except throw a candle on my plate and say "Happy Birthday."

We made a reservation for a special occasion. I was very disappointed in the seating. I requested a table with a view and was seated near the kitchen in a busy walkway. When I asked to move to another empty location the hostess said the other tables weren't for groups of two (even though Some tables were groups of two). The food and service was good, but I would not return or recommend this restaurant. There are many other better restaurants with nicer atmosphere in AC

Amada is one of my favorite restaurants. I would highly recommend the lamp chops, roast pork (tastes like a steak) and the roast chicken. They brine the chicken first so it's perfectly charbroiled on the outside and incredibly tender and juicy on the inside. There were four of us and we had perhaps 10 different dishes, including the paella. The diverse flavors from each succulent dish is better the next. I don't think there is a bad choice. Incredible food, service and ambiance. I hope it will be there given all the problems with Revel, but if not, you can always go to Amada in Philly. Fantastic!

Food was fantastic. We had an earlier reservation, which I would recommend, so the food came out very fast. Everyone was super friendly and very attentive. The manager even made rounds to all the tables to check on everyone's meal and enjoyment. The only thing I would recommend to the restaurant is different desserts. Was surprised to only see the traditional Latin donut dessert but no flan. It didn't have a universal feel. But the food menu is delicious and so many options. Also would recommend a larger wine selection. Beautiful views and great design and atmosphere. Even the bar area would be a good spot to eat at here.
