  • "My husband and I decided to go on a dinner date on a Sunday night and picked A.Lure. The food was great, the choice of beverages were good, the service was wonderful and overall our evening was deliciously wonderful. Thanks!"

  • "We went to A.Lure on restaurant week to try it out. We were so impressed! Beautiful inside in a casual way. The wait staff is fabulous and the food was so good! Healthy even! I think this may be my new favorite Savannah restaurant. I had the tenderloin medallions and it was wonderful!"

  • "Food was very good as was the service. Shrimp and grits were excellent, as was the wine. The scallops were very good, but small; for a coastal town, I expected two large dry packed scallops, not the same one's I can get back in PA. Service was very good; which you would expect at a higher end restaurant. Overall, a very good choice for dinner."

  • "This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The service was great and the food was superb. I will most definitely be back for more."

  • "We dined during restaurant week and the selections were perfect. From the moment we entered a.lure until leaving our service and attention was wonderful."

  • "This restaurant is excellent! Everything about it stood out. The staff were very nice. It was an inviting atmosphere. The food was excellent! The drinks were great as well. We enjoyed their version of low country boil. It was hands down different but everything of awesomeness. We'll definitely be dining here from time after time."

  • "Celebrated our anniversary here. Exceptional food, service ,ambiance. Little extras made the evening very special. Thanks a.lure"

  • "We ordered the specials - food was great - fresh, seasonal, and prepared well. Kudos to the chef for having original and tasty dishes! The restaurant is quiet, but has a nice ambiance. The staff was very accommodating."

  • "We stumbled into this restaurant by chance and we were so happy we did. The food was delicious. We had the fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs. For dinner the duck was amazing and the shrimp and grits some of the best I have ever had. But if you want the best thing on the menu, try the pecan pie for dessert. It was amazing! We will be back"

  • "2nd time visiting Savannah, this time with 21 yr old son, I let him pick the restaurant, my only requirement was "It has to have Low Country". Wow this did not disappoint. Be sure to try : Low Country Boil (though not everything boiled, crab cake is fried); "Peas and Carrots" (grilled scallops on top of risotto" and they had a fish of the day grouper that was superb. Dessert was killer too - dark chocolate pecan pie and goat cheese souffle (you read that right - just try it!) Great city, great food, great restaurant!"

  • "aLure offers innovative takes on traditional southern dishes. The preparation on the fried green tomatoes was the best I think I've ever had, adding a little kick to the sauce and topping it with a south of the border fresh relish. The Fish of the Day was surrounded by very nicely roasted fresh vegetables that still had a nice bite to them. The fish was fresh and cooked well. The only disappointment of the meal was the shrimp and grits. They didn't have enough spice for my taste and the grits were not cooked as well as the other dishes we ate. All in all, it was a great meal."

  • "It was our first time dining at a.Lure, and George our waiter described the dishes to perfection. We shared the rabbit ravioli as an appetizer, and I wish I had gotten one all for myself. It was decadent! My husband ordered the seafood pasta with crab, scallops and shrimp in a delicious cream sauce with angel hair pasta. I had the duck, which was cooked perfectly at medium rare. We will definitely go back and hopefully we will leave room for dessert next time. They had a frozen goat cheese souffle, and a chocolate bourbon pecan pie that sounded heavenly."

  • "My husband and I came here for dessert, which did not disappoint. We checked the dinner menu and would have liked to come back if we were in town another day. Based on the detail in the dessert, I would assume some of the dinner selections that sounded tasty would be. Service was also excellent!"

  • "Classic dishes with unique flair. Blue cheese ice cream paired with lamb carpaccio...delish. Melt in your mouth beef tenderloin. Great wine list that's reasonably priced. Jason, our server, was very knowledgeable and in love with the food. We had a good time with him. .. He just added an extra element to a very enjoyable evening."

  • "Loved everything from the the Blood Orange martinis to the Foie Gras appetizer to their signature Peas and Carrots dish (Sea Scallops over a perfect risotto). Not to missed!"

  • "Identity crisis. Low country boil, but then Thai Curry Duck? The Lamb Carpaccio would have been great with just cracked pepper, sea salt and capers/scallion oil, but it was ruined with blue cheese ice cream. The server, who was great, spilled a glass of wine all over me (my first), and promptly replaced. The manager offered to pay for dry cleaning, to which I replied "no thanks, no worries whatsoever!". They avoided us like the plague after that. Then they actually charged me for the glass of wine! The manager stared at her laptop as we left. I ignored my instinct not to eat at an empty restaurant because the server said it was "off season". We went to Local11 Ten the next night and it was packed. Oh yeah, Frank Sinatra on loop:("

  • "We have had dinner at A.lure many times. The food is always delicious! This last visit was particularly notable as the restaurant was packed and we had made our reservation at the last minute on open table. When we walked in I was wondering how we would be received as there were people everywhere. They not only seated us efficiently, but they were also doing a fabulous job of managing all of the people who were very anxious to be seated. Their were 2 hostesses and they worked all the tables making sure everyone was taken care of very well. Plus, our waiter and the entire wait staff was top notch!"

  • "We were looking for a great local restaurant in Savannah to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the reviews of a.Lure on Open Table and Trip Advisor were just that: "Alluring." We visited on a Monday night, which probably accounted for the mostly open restaurant and relatively quiet ambiance, but on the positive side, we were seated right away. Service was fair given the lack of patrons. Cocktails were excellent; wine list adequate. Both soup and main courses were well-presented, but luke-warm, which suggested they may have been sitting too long before being brought to the table. All the elements are in place to be a really great restaurant, but they need to tighten things up in order to make the jump to "fine dining" in my view."

  • " I made a reservation at a.lure to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed to be seated at a high top table in the bar. We were told that the other tables were full. This suprised us: (1) we had a dinner reservation and (2) the back dining room was completely empty other than the candles that were glowing on every empty table. The food, service and drinks were outstanding however we were very disappointed that our favorite dish, seared scallops w/peas and carrots had been significantly reduce in size. Still 3 large seared sea scallops but much less, peas, carrots and risotto. This is the second time that we have celebrated our annniversary at a.lure but unfortunately we will not return for a special occassion again."

  • "Excellent lamb carpaccio for an appetizer. Could've gobbled up 2 of those by myself! I had the Low Country Boil, with the sweet corn soufflé, which was just fine. HOWEVER, my husband enjoyed the Pork Shank so much, that he continued to talk about it days later! Quite a good impression from just the food. I truly appreciated our server… she took some extra steps to make our evening a pleasure."

  • "This perhaps one of the best dining experiences we have had. The crab cakes were nothing but crab. The Caesar dressing was the perfect blend of flavors. The scallops melted in my mouth, along with the carrot and pea risotto. The service was impeccable, and they worked together as if a symphony."

  • "A.lure has a pleasant atmosphere and attentive servers located in the heart of the City Market scene. Unfortunately, the dish I ordered was sorry and recommended as a chef's special. As an well-traveled, adventurous eater who enjoys international flair when it comes to dishes, I was interested by our server's suggestion to try the wasabi dusted fish with soba noodles. The overcooked fish slapped on uncooked noodles with zero flavor was a disaster. The first glass of wine I had was old, therefore I was thankful to be served a second that was fine for washing away the three bites I attempted of the lousy $33.00 dish. Suggestion: Dear Chef, stick to your heavily sauced, "southern" inspired dishes and dry biscuits. "

  • "We have been looking for a good all around restaurant that WASN'T so-so food & pricey etc that you fall into as tourists! This was it! Lovely atmosphere, great service and our meal was simply outstanding!! We can't wait to return! We can't get back to Savannah fast enough! Just go with an empty stomach.... You will want to eat it all!!!"

  • "It was very mediocre for the money. If you're going to charge those prices you better be at least very good. Missed all the marks"

  • "We had a fabulous dinner on our first night in Savannah - how lucky the locals are to have a restaurant like this in their home town! Our waitress told us not to be scared by the frozen souffles and so I had a frozen corn souffle on the side with crab that was superb. Try the duck!! The flavors are so unique and we ate every morsel. The only miss for me was a frozen goat cheese souffle for dessert - but the person who ordered it thought it was great. Can't believe how many people were ordering burgers and fries, but they looked excellent too."

  • "Had my birthday dinner here recently while visiting from NYC. Our waiter was amazing. There was a braised rabbit appetizer I wish I could have eaten all night... Except the rest of the menu was amazing too. If I am in savannah again, I will be at a.lure."

  • "Considered this a real find. Made reservation based on other reviews. Not disappointed. Excellent food, well prepared and creative. Will definitely return when in Savannah."

  • "Loved the chef's creativity. The Foie A La mode was the most unique and paired with grilled krispy kreme donut and white gruff black pepper ice cream it was a great finish to the meal and acted as our dessert course."

  • "When you go you a tourist destination like Savannah they are typically filled with restaurants that are just OK. Not a.Lure. Good thing we made an O.T. reservation. Upon arrival, the place was packed. The interior is chic and modern with blue hues and LED lighting. Our server was very nice. She made recommendations on drinks and accommodated our special meal requests. The other thing I like about this restaurant is that the other waitstaff tag-team when your drinks or food is ready. Nothing sits around and your meal is served right off the line. My wife had the Mahi, and my daughter had the Roasted Chicken Breast. I had the Caesar Salad, Corn Dusted Chicken Livers and Crab Cake "Interesting Plate". All were WOW. Will definitely return."

  • "We had no prior knowledge of this restaurant but were looking for something unique and special for our first night in Savannah! We found just what we were looking for. The food was superb, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere is fun, friendly, and comfortable! We will definitely go back on our next visit to Savannah!!!"

  • "The highlight of a.Lure was the food. The combination of ingredients and presentation - oh, and don't forget the taste - were really terrific. This will be enough to lure me back next time I am in Savannah. The wine selection was average and maybe slightly high price wise. Our table location was distracting and made us feel like we were in the median during rush hour. Our waiter was very friendly and did a good job. We did not feel rushed to leave but the pace of the staff made things seem a little hectic. I think with a few little adjustments, the entire experience could be elevated. I will come back for the food - it was definitely something to remember. "

  • "Recent reviews have remarked on slack service. Not the case this evening. There was a "supervisor" type going from table to table to see if everything was to the patron's liking. It was a bit overkill, to me, since our server was very efficient, with good recommendations and a smile despite the "house is full" conditions. Food was excellent, with unique preparations that were not just different to be different. The sweet potato and black quinoa combination works very well with scallops, if you know something about Peruvian cuisine. Rabbit ravioli were exquisite and the chicken livers were perfectly prepared. The lamb carpaccio is good, but I personally found the blue cheese ice cream overpowering to the delicate flavor of the lamb."
