Our local farm to table philosophy is supplemented by exciting offerings from around the world. You can sample local grouper or big eye tuna flown in from Hawaii just for a.lure. Regional produce, oysters, blue crab meat, and fresh Georgia shrimp are just a few of the locally sourced items on our menu, as well Nebraska corn fed angus steaks, regional and Niman Ranch pork products, scallops from Maine, and Wagyu beef. We transform these wonderful ingredients into exciting dishes ranging from Low Country influenced offerings to globally inspired fare.   • "We really enjoyed a.lure. From the beginning until we left, everything was wonderful. The server, Emily was helpful, attentive and talked with us about the area. We shared the Lamb Carpacio and Piri Piri Shrimp for appetizer and both were excellent. For our entree we shared the pork shank; excellent. We highly recommend A.lure. When our dinner was over our server arranged for a peddle cab to take us to our hotel. It was a fun ride and a lovely end to our evening"

We have had this dish many places in the south but did not like the take on this classic. My dish was disappointing as well and I found the menu extremely limited. We go to Savannah on a regular basis but will not be returning to this restaurant."

  • "A.lure is a smallish restaurant within Savannah's historic district. Close to the City Market and a number of the nicer hotels. Like many spots in Savannah, it makes a big deal out of using local products in "neo-Southern/Low Country" cooking. For the most part, A.lure succeeds. We had wonderful salads that tasted as if the greens were just picked. I had an excellent sea bass for my main course and my wife had a variation on shrimp and grits which was also very good. The server was excellent. The hostess was a bit too solicitous but made us feel very welcome. Again, like many other restaurants in Savannah, the wine list is limited but pretty good and very affordable. Worth a visit."

  • "Coming from the NY area and having travelled extensively, I have eaten many great meals at many great restaurants. My experience at A.Lure ranks among the best and most enjoyable. From the moment we walked in and were met by the very nice owner, to the attentive waitstaff and the delicious food, it was wonderful. The kitchen accommodated our request to try the tin grilled Brie sandwich apart from the soup as an appetizer and it was the perfect size and extremely delicious. The pork shank is a must have! Do not miss this restaurant!"

  • "First time visit. It is a fairly small restaurant so seating can be a bit tight around the wall. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we were given a choice of seating. We choose to sit on the high top table in the middle-very happy with our choice. My husband had the shrimp appetizer and nori catch of the day. Shrimp were cooked perfectly as well as the fish. As an appetizer, I had the fried green tomatoes on pimento cheese-flavors were great together. I had the seafood pasta with plenty of shrimp/scallops/crawfish and the sauce was creamy and seasoned well. All food was fresh and delicious. Our server was excellent and hostess/owner(?) came around several times to make sure everything was fine. Definitely would return."

In a four day trip to Savannah we went there twice, and canceled reservations at another very well reviewed place in order to return. A.Lure delights with the unexpected. Sweet corn ice cream accompanies a scallop appetizer, a subtle blend of mango, hot and coconut with the piri piri shrimp delivers a unexpected wallop, and the basil ice cream and basil sauce in the apple tart tatin so thrilled us that we ordered it twice. Which is not to say that everything has to be strange to be perfect. The strawberry salad and fried green tomatoes were classic, and perfect."

  • "From the moment we entered and were greeted by name, this southern gem wowed. Ushered to our table, we were introduced to our servers, who were courteous, helpful and efficient. My husband had called ahead to explain that we were on a tight schedule, wondering if they could still accommodate us--did they ever! Cocktails, salad and entrees all beautifully presented but never rushed. It was all as pleasing to our eyes as to our palates but you can't miss with the peppered strawberry balsamic salad, the delightfully sweet peas and carrots with seared scallops and especially their deconstructed low country boil---those seasoned collard greens were the BEST I have ever had--so yummy I feel like hopping back on a plane just to taste them again!"

Bar seating not a good choice for an enjoyable dining experience....too many patrons coming in and inquiring about a table and/or groups waiting to be seated. Front door not working, so I and my food were often blasted with shots of cold air. NOT what you want when you desire a good, enjoyable dining experience."

  • "we decided to try a.lure having passed in our walks around City Market. The menu is very ambitious and complex. I had the special striped bass on a succotash with cornbread cream gravy. it was spectacular. The room is small and we were a party of three and ended up in a table designed to hold 3 people in the corner of the room - clever but it meant we were facing other diners. I had a Alure Mojaito which I did not really like except for the scope of prickly pear sorbet."

  • "We decided quite late to go to a.lure on a busy Saturday night because of positive ratings that we saw on Trip Advisor. I had a very tasty strawberry & goat cheese salad with toasted pecans. On our waiter Brandon's recommendation, I tried the Low country boil that included shrimp, sausage, a crab cake, potatoes, collared greens and spoon bread accompanied by a silky smooth Bordelaise sauce. Absolutely delicious! For dessert, my wife and I shared a lovely tarte tartin with basil flavored vanilla ice cream. Also great. My wife and one other of our party had a tasty duck breast accompanied by quinoa and a kind of Asian-style slaw. Both raved about it. We can't say enough about a.lure! Try it - you should love it."

  • "Had the seafood pasta dish and it was bland/flavorless. It was salt-less, lacking the flavor of the basil cream sauce. However, my girlfriend had the shrimp and grits, which was delicious and very flavorful. Very much a mixed experience. The service was very good, but I was dissatisfied with my meal. I had to ask for basil, Parmesan, and salt to improve the flavor of my meal."

  • "What a wonderful find! Old time charm and southern food with a modern interpretation. Our party of four sampled a variety of dishes and each was expertly crafted and presented. The service was timed perfectly and the enthusiastic general manager spent time discussing A.lure's locally grown/produced philosophy. The signature peppered strawberry salad was light and refreshing. The crab cakes passed the test of our fussiest eater -- fresh lump meat, not too much breading. The duck was seasoned and prepared perfectly with a hint of pink. The Pork Shank slid off the bone in a medley of flavors. Yummmmm"

We were greeted by name, given a nice table towards the back and had a superb server. The drinks were delish...I recommend the blood orange martini! Every suggestion by our server was spot on. The food was amazing. The chef even sent a special "happy anniversary" dessert to our table. We've eaten at almost every 4-5 star restaurant in Savannah, and this one is now in our top 3. Check it out!"

  • "We arrived very early, before they were actually open but they invited us in and made us comfortable anyway. The fried green tomatoes were better than the ones we tried in other restaurants during our visit. The "soup and sandwich" was a gourmet twist on a basic comfort food. The burger was cooked as ordered, juicy, and nicely seasoned, it's bun held together well and the toppings on it were very fresh. The deviled eggs had just a little bit of spice that really dressed them up and seemed fresh. We will certainly make it a point to visit again the next time we are in Savannah. The atmosphere was very pleasant."

Chef's special spring roll was crispy and hot .Portions were plentiful so strawberry salad and rabbit ravioli were perfect for meal. Our server was very knowledgable, helpful and efficient. The ambience was terrific. We loved what the owner did with the place ... especially the perfectly commissioned artwork of Low Country. Not only would I recommend A.lure to my friends, I'm hopeful we can return soon and explore more of the menu!"
