Alpenglow StubeWe were most impressed withWe were most impressed with the service and food. We loved it!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our third visit inThis was our third visit in 10 years to this restaurant...we go every time we go skiing in the Keystone area. It is a real gem and we love it.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely time at this restaurantLovely time at this restaurant for lunch after a long morning of skiing. The place was very busy so the service was rather slow but I wasn't in a rush. The place is warm and inviting. Just want you want after 5 hours on the slopes. They had a nice selection of half bottles of wine which allowed us to try a few. I would definitely recommend it and will be back when I go back to the Keystone area3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMStill high off this mealThis was my 2nd time dining at the Stube and it was just as spectacular as the first. If you are in keystone, this restaurant is a must!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat service and location. ok foodThe location and service are excellent. The food is just ok, and inferior to other restaurants charging the same.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMKeystone Vacation, 2013This was better than words can describe. Christine, our server, was fantastic. NIce touch was the personalized menu and she knew our name when she came to the table. We were seated by the fireplace and it was so romantic. The slippers they give you when you walk in, oh what a great added feature! They warmed us up after the cold gondola rides! This is a must-do again when in Keystone Resort, CO. Highly recommend this restaurant and it is well worth the money! The 7 course menu is the only way to order - the food was incredible and the right size portions.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAlpenglow Stube ShinesA wonderful restaurant only accessible via two enclosed gondola rides. Dress appropriately! Nice touches at the restaurant: beautiful beams, antler chandeliers, and fuzzy slippers for your chilly feet. Excellent coffee drinks, a good wine selection, and very friendly staff. The lunch menu is either 2 or 3 courses, and we chose the 2. Great soups, salads. Convenient splits of wine and champagne. Great selection of teas. Pricey, but well worth it for the excellent food and fabulous ambiance. Make a reservation in advance, and far in advance for dinner.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Alpenglow Stube is a foodie'sThe Alpenglow Stube is a foodie's paradise. Balanced variety of choices and flavors that can be accompanied by a well rounded array of wine. Service is meticulous! We had the 7 course Chefs choice and a bottle of wine. The timing of each course was perfect. The two gondola rides it takes to get to the restaurant is relaxing and beautiful. A dining experience at the Alpenblow Stube is a lifetime memory and belongs on your bucket list.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI make sure I eat at AlpengloI make sure I eat at Alpenglo Stube every year I come here to ski. It is one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere, the food, the service, are all top notch.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the touch of includingLoved the touch of including a personalised welcome page inside the menu but would have liked a slightly bigger table as with all the glasses it felt a little squashed. Never the less we all had a wonderful evening.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFine dining where you least expectAfter skiing off the mountain, we were asked if we'd like to check our jackets, which we did. We were then asked if we'd like to trade our bulky ski boots for nice warm slippers, which we immediately began peeling off our boots. We were then escorted to our table and from there it only got better. Food and service was impeccable.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good but I expected excellent.Very good but I expected excellent. I'd still recommend going for a special occasion since the ride up at sunset in the gondolas and back down at night is very romantic and unusual. The physical setup of the dining room, from sheepskin slippers to the view and the walls/ceiling really can't be beat. However, the courses were too inconsistent to really make the cost worthwhile. One salad was really only fair, and the prix fixe cheese course is stuck in 1970. Halibut, lamb chops, and dessert, however, were really excellent. Wine list is very deep and includes some half-bottles, and fairly priced for location. Wait staff were attentive but not elegantly so, so we were left a little disappointed. Probably a one-time experience for us; no return3/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
