Alouette has been in a steady decline over the past several years as they have changed ownership/management. Our food experience has gotten increasingly bad with each subsequent visit, to the point we will not return. Alouette has gone from a neighborhood gem to a neighborhood has been.

I liked Alouette. The food was very well prepared and presented. Our waiter was a bit harried, but his warmth and friendliness more than made up for delays in his attention. I would return to Alouette when in their neighborhood.

Easter brunch was a bargain: Drink plus three courses for $32. I had mushroom ravioli, eggs Benedict, and chocolate cake. The entire staff was very friendly, and our French waiter (sorry, can't remember his name) was excellent -- attentive without being intrusive.

Had to wait 40 minutes for our reserved table. Entree was late arriving, not bad but not up to the quality served bythe prior owners. Diners at nearby tables faced similarproblems, with little or no sympathy by senior staff.Used to be a neighborhood gem, now a definite "Miss."
