A word from Almond
Almond, an American bistro located in New York City’s bustling Flatiron District, combines the best of farm-to-table cuisine in a casually elegant atmosphere.
Co-owner and Executive Chef Jason Weiner offers a menu of accessible dishes that put market-fresh ingredients center stage. Classic Almond dishes include Steamed Black Mussels with Shallots and White Wine and Roast Chicken with Hand-Crushed Potatoes and Natural Jus, while a list of “plats du jour” range from Roasted Whole Fish to Heritage Farms Porkchop to Rack of Lamb.
Our wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines from regions across France and California. A specialty cocktail list, New York state craft beer selection, and raw bar selections are all available, along with our entire menu, at the restaurant’s spacious 20-seat bar.

Private dining spaces are perfect for larger parties and a hidden European-style billiards room adds to the restaurant’s charm.

Loved the fact that you could make a reservation for even 2 people. Food was delicous. Server was very helpful with questions about the menu. I had the Duck Confit Hash and my friend had the Kale Omelet. Both were delicious. We both had bloody marys which I felt had the perfect blend. Loved the ambiance. Will definately be going back

I am a big fan of Almond. They have staples on the menu I can always suggest like roast chicken, a burger, pasta and great salads (my favorite is brussels sprouts). They also have many seasonal menu swings and great prix fixe options. This lunch was fraught with time issues as the lunch crowd swelled and our order was lost. I wasn't happy and time was getting away but they smoothly hustled to find it and, rather than making a big deal of apology complimented the hustle by giving us dessert without even asking. I love the professional approach.

The dishes are sufficiently classic to seem familiar, but refreshingly creative in preparation and combination without an air of gastronomic experimentation. The service is cheerful, warm and attentive. And the space is warm and inviting, ideally conducive to the intimate interaction that turns a meal into a special occasion. Plus, I'll never get enough of those Brussels Sprouts Two Ways!

I think that the prices are high for this restaurant that is just okay. I enjoyed my Fall Sangria--it had just enough spice. I ordered the french onion soup because I had a sore throat. To my surprise it does not come in a crock--and it was cold! I sent it back and it was heated back up. It was tasty; it had no bread but lots of cheese. After our main course was served the manager that took my soup back to be reheated, he came back and said he took the soup off the bill. That was a nice gesture!

It can be very noisy as well but can be fun if you're looking for that kind of ambience. They have organic/local produces which is very nice and they have a nice wine list as well.

I ate at Almond with my mom, boyfriend, mom's friend and her son on 10/8/14. We had an absolutely delightful experience. Everything the waiter suggested was delicious and there was a great ambiance. It's decorated very nice inside as well. We spent 3 hours eating, laughing, drinking and talking. The pot roasted chicken with potatoes and kale/spinach was so good! We also enjoyed several desserts. I would definitely go back to Almond and recommend it for a date or just a night out with friends/family.

We were entertaining Italian guests who are very accustomed to fresh, well prepared foods. Almond was a perfect choice since it offered a varied and very fresh menu, with all of the offerings prepared in an interesting and healthy way. They loved the menu and at our reccomendation decided on the prixe fixed lunch, which included a great salad, cod dish with mussels, an choice of wine or beer. For dessert they chose the Almond version of a chocolate mousse. The service was excellent and the portions just right. Hope to return there for brunch some time soon.

I thought the food was poor. I ordered the scallops and it was dressed up with so many other things on the plate that it lost the flavor of enjoying the scallops. The same with the tomato mozzarella salad. It should be more simple, not with so many greens. And, the tomatoes and mozzarella should be more substantial. When you skimp on the food, especially something like tomatoes and mozzarella, you lose the wonderful flavor of the two.
