AlmondConsistently very good, aConsistently very good, a great place to meet friends. The energy is up there, but not overwhelming. (Just don't sit too close to the bar is you want to have conversation.)4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMSeasonal changeThe menu is changing with the season so it's a great time to visit either because the winter favorites (like Brussels sprouts two ways)are leaving or new dishes (like the new Italian style pork chop) are arriving.
The food is always prepared with care (as in a presentation you like) and I always see plenty of management in the large dining room.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistentI find the friendly, consistent, delivery of Almond exactly what you want from a lunch spot. No surprises and they focus on you.
I really like the salad Nicoise (poor spelling skills) and they often ask if I would like one, even when it's not on the menu.
A great burger is always on the menu and my associates who have been before ask if we can go to Almond when we have a return visit.
GO! and try anything at all, you will not be disappointed.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe seafood at Almond is terrificThe seafood at Almond is terrific - the mussels and marianated octopus being real standouts. Nice waitstaff and friendly people at reception could not do enough to make you feel more welcome.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMCasual ambiance, food wasCasual ambiance, food was delicious. I had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, and a few vegetable sides as appetizers. We had reservations for 5 at 9:15PM, however our table wasn't ready -- we waited for about 30 minutes. The host, Clay, was very gracious and apologetic, and went out of his way to be as accommodating as possible. I'll definitely be back.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMost reliableI do not believe there is a more reliable, professional, restaurant experience in Flatiron District.
Nice diversity on the menu, service never leaves you feeling forgotten and the menu has something for everyone including a very fair prix fixe.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMI adore Almond. Food for foodies, but not much of a wine list for wine snobs!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch is great here. VeryBrunch is great here. Very nice selection of delicious choices. Only complaint: our Huevos Rancheros came to the table lukewarm. Kind of surprising as it came out of the kitchen within 10 minutes of ordering.

Almond is always full, so there is a nice vibe, and that tells you that hundreds of us know that there is fresh, reliable fare -- roasted chicken, bass, steak frites.... every night.2/14/2013 12:00:00 AMChill, hip and awesome!Love this place...one of my top 10 in NYC. Teddy the waiter has been waiting on me for 10 years at Zuni Cafe in San Francisco, when he moved to NYC I told him to apply here and they hired him on the spot. So now I have a little more cool West Coast vibe in my second city here in NYC also at one of my favorite haunts!1/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous brunchI've been here twice for brunch and have never been disappointed. The French toast is phenomenal, and the place overall is really well-priced for brunch. Almond itself is an adorable place, and the staff is very attentive.
I would absolutely suggest this to anyone!1/19/2013 12:00:00 AM
