Allred's RestaurantThis was our first trip toThis was our first trip to Allred's. The food and service were terrific. It seemed like there was a plethora of active children in the dining room which surprised us given the upscaleness of the restarant. Took away some of the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for!4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMedium rare Meat dishes wereMedium rare Meat dishes were both a little overdone, both the lamb and kids filet, but other than that a thoroughly pleasant dinner experience.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMTook a client and his familyTook a client and his family here for dinner and drinks. I was very happy with the outcome. Food is excellent and the wine list is extensive. At first it seems like a tourist trap but the food, service and the view makes it worth it. Cocktails in the bar sunset overlooking the town is an experience that shouldn't be missed. The Jalapeno-Peach marguerita is great. I gave the service only 4 stars because somebody in my party wanted to order from the bar menu (while seated in the restaurant) and was at first told that wasn't allowed. He did end up getting what he wanted.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMRustic EleganceWe always end our family ski vacation with dinner at Allred's. The views are spectacular, the setting is rustic elegance and the food is terrific.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food - but the reasonGood food - but the reason to dine at Allred's is the VIEW. Incomparable dinner scenery as you gaze out over the famous Telluride "box canyon." Nice bar, albeit crowded. The restaurant is versatile and just as suited to a special night out with family or friends as it is for a romantic evening.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were spectacular. The view is amazing. This is a must eat at when in Telluride!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent. MakeFood was excellent. Make sure to get the Truffle Fries for starters. Wine list is extensive and expensive. Ask for a window table to enjoy the view.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful service. MarioWonderful service. Mario makes your dinner experience special.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGood for vacationersGorgeous views make this rather expensive restaurant worth a visit. (Of course, its better if you are able to get a table by the window.)
The food is also good - in particular, I would praise the appetizer salads. We have had dinner in this restaurant about four times in the past three years and have found the service to be consistent and friendly. If you're on a budget, I suggest stopping into the bar for happy hour instead of dinner.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMYou must experience Allred'sMy third visit to Allred's and it is better each time. This is the first time we got there before the sun set and that was amazing. The views are magnificent. The food is equally magnificent, we had the elk and the lamb, amazing. The staff is focused on making it a memorable experience and everyone goes out of their way to ensure that.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMTelluride MUST!We always save Allred's for the last meal at Telluride before we go home. The food is incredible, the venue amazing. We were seated just after sunset, so we could watch the town of Telluride, thousands of feet below our window, fade from a series of little toy buildings to a sparkling gem of tiny lights.
Our party had in turn elk, beef, and lamb, and all were prepared and presented perfectly. Service was excellent, as always.
It's pricey, but worth every cent. If you are in Telluride, you MUST go to Allred's.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been there many timesWe've been there many times and feel the restaurant is getting better and better.
We enjoyed the evening and food very much. The ambiance is great and the service very good.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a lovely evening atWe had a lovely evening at Allred's though we hesitated eating there as it is owned by Telluride resort. So glad we gave it a try. The food was delicious with each of us trying something different. The beef tenderloin was perfect, the baked chicken melted in your mouth and the crab cake appetizer was tasty and large enough for a smaller appetite. We all loved the Truffle Fries which were so good my son had to fight us off.
We will definitely return on our next trip to Telluride. Most locals suggested we try to get there at sunset and enjoy the bar and the view of Telluride Village as the alpenglow settled over the canyon. Unfortunately we never made it at sunset but the night view was beautiful, too!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this restaurant the foodLove this restaurant the food and view are amazing. We dined her last year and loved it then and were equally impressed this year!!!3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely amazing place.Absolutely amazing place. If you are in Telluride you are probably willing to spend a little bit of money. This place will easily be over $100 for 2 people but it is well worth it. The food is incredible, the staff is friendly and knowledgable, and the view is out of this world! This is a must-go restaurant for anyone going to Telluride.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
