I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who wants to have a great meal and really enjoy the service. The inside of the restaurant was not at all what I expected. The outside is almost industrial but as soon as you walk in you enter a clean, open, retro-esque space. Lots of room between tables, which made it great for conversation."

  • "We have enjoyed Alloy many times and have always found the service and food to be good. This time was no exception... but the server we had was a bit snippy and condescending. We shifted chairs around a bit to accommodate our party of five and he made a comment that was unbecoming of a server when he saw what we had done. It really put us off and was an underlying theme all evening."

(make sure you know the license plate number of your dark C300 as there were 8 of them in the parking lot the other day). they have some great dishes (lobster sandwich) and some average dishes (the curry)."

  • "3 of us ordered Lamb Chops, one plate was cold and the other 2 were just warm. the manager removed these 3 plates, replentished all of our wine while we waited for new orders which had better, meatier chops, hot and what should have been served up in the first place."

We both had a salad, entree and dessert but were left feeling not quite sated - perhaps we should have ordered an appetizer as well. My caveat for recommending Alloy centres on the portion size of our orders - they are quite small. My recommendation to someone would be not to go there if you are hungry but rather for a lighter fare. While the wine menu is extensive, the dinner menu is a little skimpy on selections."

His overcompensation was palpable and ruined not only our dinner but our two guests (first time there) couldn't wait to leave.   • "Very disappointing experience after hearing 2 good reviews from friends. Appetizers were out quickly but took over an hour to get our meals. Restaurant wasn't overly busy. When the food finally came out some were luke warm. Mine was way too salty so I just didn't eat it. Only sent it back. No point in them making another meal after waiting an hour. Was offered free deserts. Whoopie. Would have rather had our bottle of wine comped. Won't be going back."

  • "Celebrating a new job for myself and the gf hitting her fundraising girl we found Alloy perfect for the upscale celebration. I typically find restaurants too dark, but with the large window and the summer sun, the lighting was pleasant late into the night (we arrived at 8). Our server was very pleasant and playful which matched our personalities. After following the suggestion of the pork belly and scallop, we were upsold to a berry and tomato salad which was equally impressive. A pleasant surprise of olives, pita and hummus accompanied us while we waited for the ordered food to arrive. I had the special of a grassfed steak with kholrabi and the gf had a perfectly tender halibut. From beginning to end we were impressed and satisfied."

A guy at the table next to us sounded like he was auditioning for an electronic laugh track every thirty seconds or so, making it extremely difficult for us to carry on a conversation without shouting at each other. First time I've been seated in the back of the restaurant near the bar. Acoustics are clearly terrible. Next time will ask to sit in the front section, or outside."
