Very inventive, intriguing (makes it hard to decide)and there is something for everyone. We had a picky eater in our group and he had difficulty deciding on his entree. The service team at Alloro is exceptional as well. They work seamlessly together, are very welcoming and client focused, and are very attentive. Alloro is one of those restaurants that works no matter what - celebration, quiet intimate meal, looking for a special food experience, etc. Our favorite reason to be on the UES (up from Chelsea) is Alloro. The owner is a huge presence and really cares that you're everything is to your liking. He is really sweet and genuine - we have not had this kind of personal service often. A great intimate neighborhood restaurant even when you're coming from out of the neighborhood as we did! The four of us took advantage of their 4 for $40 menu and nobody left anything on any plate. Just delicious. Of course 2 bottles of $75 wine threw off the "reasonable dinner" but the wine was also great. Will certainly return but will have to be more judicious in choosing wine when ordering off the regular menu (which looked a tad steep).
