  • "our group has enjoyed the grille for 3 plus years. tues evening very sad service we requested number 1 table when we arrived we were told that table was taken for a larger group. ok took round table. life goes on...service very bad 2 groups ordered after us and were served before us. we ordered the burgers.....slow service with food not to usual standard....probably will not visit again .. taking our group outings (once a month) to franklin. we had always enjoyed the scenery and food but hard to come back ."

  • "The restaurant is very nice, the view is wonderful, especially at sunset. Employees are very prompt and friendly. Food was very disappointing. My barbecue chicken was very dry, sides were almost cold. My husband's meal- a hamburger without bun, was overcooked. He also ordered appetizer crackers, dry and very small. The cost was very high. Two people with tip was over $70.00. We would go back to Foxburg for the winery and the view, but don't think would go back to the restaurant."

  • "The Allegheny Grille is a fine dining restaurant in Foxburg, PA. The decor is upscale rustic. The menu is somewhat limited but does cover all of the food category bases: steak, seafood, pasta, and poultry There is an extensive wine list featuring wines from the local winery. Servers are always friendly and usually quite efficient without being intrusive. The prices are a little high for a rural area, but they are certainly comparable to other popular dining spots. My husband had the prime rib and consumed every single bite. It was accompanied by mashed redskin potatoes and mixed vegetables. I had the panko crusted haddock, which was also quite good if a tad underdone. Portions were generous. I took home half of my meal for the next day!"

  • "The food was wonderful, portions were generous. Friendly wait staff. View could not be beat, can't wait to go back when the weather is warmer and sit on the deck! Bar staff was great also!"

  • "Enjoyed a nice evening with good friends and lots of neighbors. The atmosphere was appropriate for St Patrick's weekend. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The corned beef was good but not exceptional. Better reviews for the shepherd's pie. Nice to have the special feature of live music, although more Irish type tunes may have worked too!"

  • "The food was generally good and fairly priced. I had a dinner salad with salmon, and my wife had a grilled chicken sandwich. The salmon was excellent, but the greens in the salad were somewhat mediocre. My wife was served the wrong chicken sandwich, but it was close enough to what she wanted, so she decided not to tell the server. We have eaten here a number of times and the food is always good to very good, but not great. The service is generally good to very good, but not great. We would say that this restaurant is a good value."

  • "Nice view. Food was nothing spectacular. Asked if we wanted soup or salad with dinner (unknown upcharge). Appetizer was good. Lack of choice with meal. You got mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Would have liked a choice of potato and vegetable. Ordered Prime Rib (medium rare) it came medium well. I told a manager or some type of supervisor about it. He said it would be dry if it was medium well. It is cooked in Au Jus. how can it be dry? They took it and brought me another piece. It wasn't medium rare either. I gave up and just ate it. Table next to us also had a problem with their prime rib. I overheard the same manager or floor person say he would take care of it and they got their bill adjusted for the problem. Overall disappointpmg"

  • "This was my first time at Allegheny Grill, and I brought my girl friend, my best buddy and his wife. The service was very good, friendly, and knowlegeble in regards to the menu and wines. Also took good care of one small mistake where the wrong appetizer was brought out."

  • "For the cost of our meals. We expected the food to be outstanding. The chicken in our chicken alfredo was not fresh. It tasted like leftovers from the night before. Not what we expected since it the meals were so expensive!"

  • "The AG has become our family spot for celebrating the holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. The service is always excellent, the view is great even in bad weather but the food is hit or miss. I had the all you can fish dinner. The fish was the tail end of the cod, tough, mostly breading and a bit greasy. I won't order this again. One of my quests had the chicken parm and said it was very good - it was a large serving. The soup and salads ordered by the others in my party were nicely prepared and tasty. It was a dark and stormy evening but the view was still wonderful. We will continue going to grill for the view but not necessarily for the food."

  • "I've been dining at this place on and off for the last 15 years or so. It's always a very good experience. The food is fantastic, the location is nice, and the view when dining there during the autumn is spectacular. It's my standard "second date" restaurant when I really want to take a person somewhere nice. I can't really speak to the wine list, as I'm not much of a drinker, but friends tell me that their local wines are quite good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

  • "Food was great, drinks a bit pricey but I ordered off a special Christmas list. Took a bit of time to get our food, restaurant was by no means full or crowded but a wedding was going on upstairs. That may have been why kitchen was a bit slow. Server was very nice and accommodated us well."

  • "Lunch early Sunday afternoon was ideal. Love the view of the river. We had the salmon and the pot roast and both were delicious. Tomato caprese appetizer was lovely, and the coconut creme pie and flourless chocolate cake (might have been called Chocolate Decadence) were over the top. We will definitely come back...and bring friends."

  • "We heard about the AG via the sister restaurants in CLE OH, Washington Place in Little Italy and Welshfield Inn In Welshfield. While we have had great meals at both CLE establishments our meal at AG was not to the standard that I had expected. At arrival the hostess was warmly welcoming and the dining room is beautiful. A good start!"

  • "The special on Friday is prime rib, which my husband ordered. I had another special, the cedar plank salmon. When we received our dishes his prime rib was swimming in au jus and had no flavor. The cedar plank my salmon came on looked like it had been engulfed in flames for 10 minutes. The outside of the salmon was burnt, the inside overcooked and a flavorless panko breadcrumb crust. It was so dry I had to eat every bite with the watery vegetables just to get it down. Since I was still hungry I ordered the toffee cake and a dessert coffee. The coffee was burnt and they gave me an actual shot of Sambuca on the side. So tacky. The cake tasted old and reheated. Then the bill came, to the tune of $80. Never going back again. TERRIBLE!"

  • "Food was very good, and service/setting was wonderful. On warmer days, I would imagine sitting outside for dinner(or lunch) and taking in the sights/sounds of nature would be awesome!"

  • "We went here for a relaxing dinner but there was a wedding and and it was extremely noisy. Our food was good but expensive for what we got. My husband's steak was very fatty and he was charged extra for gravy on his mashed potatoes ."

  • "My wife & I went for the 1st time durring the Fall Festival & we had a nice widow seat w/ a great view. There is a nice three mile walking/bike path just down from the Grille. If you like the buz of a-lot of people, the fall weekend is a good time to go. The Claim Chowder was great & my buffalo chicken salad was good. It seemed a little odd that no bread was offered w/ the meal. Our waitress was very nice. There was a wide range of dress styles from semi-formal to casual."

  • "This restaurant never disappoints and is well worth the drive to scenic Foxburg. The dining room overlooks the Allegheny River. There was a wedding taking place when we were there on the outside patio. Great for a romantic dinner for two, or even a large event. Arrive early before your reservation to peak into the Foxburg Winery next door. Plenty of free parking. Service and food are excellent!"
