Italian find!Mike, the owner of Aliotta's Via Firenze was so terrific with our party of 5! I thought that I had made an Open Table Reservation but when we checked in, his computer did not show our reservation. He found a great table for us, and our server was amazing as we told him we had to leave by 7:40 to go to the theater. Our food was really excellent - the limoncello dessert served by the wonderful lady who makes all of the desserts was mouth watering. I love this restaurant. Had the special appetizer that was excellent and sole picata that was also excellent. The owner stopped by several times to talk. We brought two bottles of wine and between the bottles, the owner insisted we get fresh wine glasses. As in Italy, we were definitely rushed to order or to free up the table. It's a bit pricier than where we usually go, but well worth it for a really special dining experience. Although not required to make reservations, it's probably safer to do so, especially on weekends, and the online reservation process is easy. The entire staff is knowledgeable about the menu, and the food is superb. The ambiance is comfortable elegance; great for a romantic dinner. The noise level is quiet to moderate depending on the crowd; they can provide a private curtained-off section for larger dinner parties, but not a separate room, so it can get a bit noisy, but not uncomfortably so.
