  • "The service and food is always great. The mixed grill or combination platters are outstanding. Grilled octopus so tasty. Owner of the restaurant is always there to make sure your dinning experience is a great one."

  • "We have been looking for a local restaurant that serves authentic Greek dishes. Aliada certainly fits the description. The variety of dishes will keep us coming back. The zucchini cakes and saganoki were perfectly done. Portions were generous and the price was very reasonable. Definetly going back to try their falafel."

  • "Looked for a restaurant between the N train and The Noguchi Museum. So glad we found Alaida, a charming corner spot with fresh delicious authentic greek food at a reasonable price. Very clean, nicely decorated, and very helpful service. Worth the train ride from Manhattan."

  • "Great service, wonderful Greek Mediterranean food. But even early on a Saturday night, the place was packed. Maitre D'/owner confused as to who had reservations and whether or not he could respect the reservations made. Tables are right on top of each other and you feel like more than just your friends are at your table. Go for lunch or another night if you want a quieter experience. Wonderful gyros, non-greasy calamari, very good eggplant rollatini (unusual for a Greek restaurant)."

  • "Really good, authentic Greek food. Interesting selection of Greek wines. The taramosalata was outstanding. Gets crowded for good reason so reservations are a good idea."

  • "This is not our first time coming here, and every time I have a good experience. The food is always fresh, the staff very polite, and the atmosphere very cozy. I always look forward for a new occasion to come here."

  • "I had been at this restaurant in the winter, on a night when there were very few customers, and both the food and the service were excellent, but this time everything was disappointing. We had to convince the server that a dish was not for us, we were brought a dry wine that was far from dry, and the meat we were served was really not up to par: overcooked, hard as a rock, with no flavor. The waiter had a great attitude, but unfortunately he could not make up for what was missing in the food,"

  • "Bartender was very helpful in helping me find a wine that suited my taste. Ordered the octopus app and was extremely disappointed. For $18 I got a saucer size plate of chopped octo that was not as tender as expected. The mixed grill for 2 though, made up for it. A big portion of their best. Tasty and satisfying. Great service. Free dessert"

  • "One of the managers (I don't recall his name) is extremely rude. When I called him a day after the dining experience to discuss something, he was yelling at me over the phone and saying that I called him at the worst time. I'm sorry, am I not the customer?"

  • "We had a large group for Mother's Day - everyone came at different times - THEN, we had difficult children. These people could not have been nicer, the food was good, the ambience lovely. We will go back for a date night! Thank you."

  • "We were a group of 12 for a Sunday lunch. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was quite good, and the price was very reasonable. It's a great neighborhood restaurant."

  • "The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The surroundings are nothing special, but don't be fooled. there is magic in the kitchen. Service was very attentive."

  • "Really great food, decent ambiance. Grilled calamari was cooked to perfection (no small feat), and the swordfish kabobs were very nicely done as well. Service was quite inattentive. Besides recommending a nice bottle of Greek wine and when it was time to bring our food over, the waitress was all but absent. The food and reasonable prices are enough to keep me coming back though."

  • "The food at Aliada is just as good if not better than some of the celebrity Greek restaurants in Astoria, and the atmosphere is much less frenetic. Great salads, great grilled meats and great octopus. Free dessert is best in town!"
