Service was outstanding. The appetizers and The Cream of Mushroom Soup were very tasty. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Good choice of side dishes. Dinner was topped off with some delicious desserts. The 3-hour parking validation is nice as parking spaces are so scarce. I had the Filet and it was perfect. The wine selection was pretty good and the ambiance was great. The waiter was very attentive and would only interrupt us when he saw that we were finished with our meal. You get what you order, and nothing to distract you from it. Whether it's just a steak with fries, or a steak with _everything_ you can think of, you get what you asked for, and it's perfect.
And if you're looking for something nice to drink with your steak, the bar selections is extensive.
Service is sometimes a little slow, so don't eat here if you're in a hurry. Alfred's is a good old fashioned style steak house, and if you order a martini they leave the shaker with you (You get about 3 drinks out of it NICE....)! The only reason I HAD to give this tremendous steak house 4 stars is that the service is incredibly to slow (perhaps it is part of their motif). I mean had to take the check to our server... The staff is very friendly though and knowledgeable. You can see all of the meats curing in the dry age locker (pretty cool). So if you are there take a peak in the locker, the maitre'd will even explain the entire process to you if you ask him!
