Lobster Bisque, Crab Cakes, Key Lime Pie, Shrimp Scampi with pasta and sun dried tomatoes - it was all very delicious. Can't wait to go back to Brighton and eat there again. We had a wonderful night and they have a beautiful outdoor deck for dining. It was the perfect place to have my mom's surprise birthday party."

After he found out he brought me a free glass. We also like the idea that the fish comes fro Foley's Fish Market in Boston. Another visit on Wednesday allowed me to order the surf & turf for $15 and it was very good."

  • "I made an online reservation for July 4th at 6:00 for 4 people. Received my reservation confirmation. We met our guests there Only to find out they were closed. There was no mention on the sign out front that they were closed and they should have updated the online reservation system not to except a reservation if not open. We ended up at Stillwater and had a nice dinner."

  • "The clam chowder was delish!!!! My husband and I both ordered Alexander's Signature, which came with (a very small piece of) sea bass and 2 scallops. It also came with asparagus and risotto (risotto was amazing). For $29 I kind of expected a little more but oh well. The scallops were really good but the sea bass was kind of fishy - my husband said the same thing. I LOVE sea bass and rarely order it bc it's so expensive, so that was disappointing. Overall it was good, but I would never order the sea bass ever again."

  • "Alexander's is our go to restaurant because the food is exceptional, the wait staff friendly and engaging and it's close to our home. We made a reservation for Saturday night and brought guests with us. One of our guests ordered the pork chops and my husband order the prime rib, which is his meal of choice here. Neither entrees were available! How can a restaurant of this caliber, who is known for their prime rib, run out so early in the evening? We make reservations because we like the dining experience and the food. I must say, our waiter did give us 2 desserts on the house, which was very kind but, we don't go out to eat for the dessert. We will continue to patronize Alexander's and hope that we don't have this experience again."

  • "After raving about my previous lunch experience, my husband was anxious to eat here. We brought guests, and my husband had the perch, which he said was the best he had in years! My friend's wife and I had the special baseball steak and lobster tail, which was very small, and appropriate for the price, however it was as tasteless as it looked, dry. The steak was tough. My dog loved it. Our friend had a beef dish and I notice he left a good portion. When I asked, he said it was tough and gristly. That was so disappointing and embarrassing. I prefer not to have staff come up and ask ," is everything wonderful?" or something like that as I'm not going to complain in front of our guests. I will try again, but only for the fish."

  • "Omg. This is a great restaurant. We joined friends there Saturday night. This used to be the old Brighton House. But with top to bottom re-do this place has a great updated ambiance and the food is wonderful. My eye caught were the medallion size scallops as the were delivered to another guest. I had to have them. They were perfectly prepared. My friend had the crab cakes and said they were awesome. My husband had the prime rib and said it was great. Service was a little slow. We sat outside on the patio which looks onto the parking lot. Inside is designed beautifully. You will enjoy your experience. "

  • "The menu is fairly creative and the food was fantastic. The ambiance reminds me a little of a refurbished diner but lots of booths which is great. Besides the food, the other thing I need to comment on is the acoustics of this place - so many restaurants these days have the high unfinished ceilings and concrete floors which put the sound level out of control - this place is not like that. It's very easy to be able to hear everyone at your table even if you have a larger party … how refreshing. Our server was definitely not at the top of her game, but she kept the drinks flowing so we really didn't care because we were in no hurry. "

  • "This restaurant recommendation came to us with good reviews..Our impression is that the ambiance was wonderful, our reservations were ready as requested and our service was very good. The food presentation was superb, unfortunately the food itself was very disappointing. We each ordered a beef entree. The medallions of beef were ordered medium and came well done, the prime rib was ordered medium and came well done and was exceptionally salty! The mashed potatoes were lumpy. As for the drink selections; the pricing was high for the wine pour and the bourbon on the rocks was high priced for the very small glass served. For a $100 + meal, including tip there are better values in the Brighton dining marketplace."

  • "Hit hard by a full house on Mothers Day proved to have many of the outstanding restaurant recommendations given to me fall by the wayside. I called ahead for the reservation, When we arrived we were told the table was being cleared so about a five minuite wait. We went to the bar. Twenty minutes later, after two drinks each (They ran out of Captain Morgan) I returned to the hostess and was told that they were just clearing the table. Finally got seated and found poor waitress service. I had to ask another floor manager for our waitress four different times during the meal and even had a hard time paying the bill. My meal (Chicken Linguine) was only so so. My friends meal (Filet Mingon) was done perfectly. We will try them again soon!"

  • "I had made mothers day reservations with the expectation of a wonderful brunch. When we were seated, one seat was in the isle only inches from the back of the chair placed at the table behind us. This made that main isle impassable for the waitstaff, and crowded. The food was under a tent on the outdoor patio, where they were also seating people.There was one small door that people used to both enter and exit the buffet. One man snagged his shirt on the door handles sharp edge as he tried to make his way by the line. The food warmers were not lit under the food trays. They advertised a carving station and omelet station which were part of the same line. The pastry table was the saddest I ever seen!We walked out! "

  • "Very busy Saturday night - a full house. Attentive staff, but the level of sophistication was not commensurate with the intended/projected upscale image and existing pricing. The red wines were 2011 and 2012 vintage - too young - and some listed were out-of-stock. Meals were good but not notable ... holding back on spices in order to appeal to a bland palette does not make distinctive dining. Some selections had generous portions, other selections were not so. Interior décor is attractive and nicely, several seating options exist. Reservations were made with desired seating requested and requested seating was provided - on time. "

  • "From your advertisement I expected soft lights, table cloths and candle on the table. Unfortunately I felt like I was in the setting in an Elise Broths restaurant. All you need now in drop down between booth walls. Could hear the whole conversation on the other side of the wall to our booth they might as well been sitting with us. It was hard to have a conversation of our own. Did not find our experience relaxing at all. And again noie level was like fast food resturant. "

  • "My wife and i can afford to go to a high end restaurant at least once a month and i was so excited to find Alexanders within 20 miles of my home. However after dining there i was so disappointed that they failed on almost all fronts. The drinks were weak and ordered incorrectly, the food was fair, nothing exciting and the waiter was more like what i expect at Olive Garden. For a $100 tab it was a huge disappointment, as I really wanted to find a high end place in Howell area."

  • "We ate here recently and found the food to be excellent. We had the beef tips and oysters for appetizers and the scallops and swordfish for dinner. Both were very good, but the scallops were outstanding - possibly the best I've ever had. Our server was very attentive and offered good recommendations. I have only one criticism - the lighting in the restaurant is far too bright. If this is supposed to be a fine dining/special occasion spot, it is ruined by the bright atmosphere. "
