  • "The food really was wonderful and a great selection available for the restaurant week menu. The service and ambience were excellent. The only reason I didn't rate them outstanding is that it was extremely busy and as a result the wait staff was hustling but still performed excellently. It was also very noisy but we were near a table that was a bit loud. No one help that; it just happens but certainly didn't detract from a beautiful meal and evening. Can't wait to go again!"

  • "My wife and i celebrated our anniversary here on 8/5 and enjoyed every moment of our dinner! They seated us off in a separate room next to the window overlooking little Ital. It only had about 6 tables in it and was very intimate and romantic. Now the to the good part, the Food! we started with the eggplant parmesan which was thinly sliced and lightly breaded with a touch of sauce and cheese. I had the tuna carpaccio which was excellent, very fresh and great flavor! for dinner we both decided on the grilled hanger steak. It was cooked perfectly at a rare to medium rare, drizzled with olive oil, rosemary, and delicious sea salt! the dessert was fantastic as well. Our meal reminded us of our trip to Italy and we will definitely be back!"

  • "I went to Aldo's during Restaurant Week, in part because it's one of the highly rated restaurants in Baltimore. I ended up being rather disappointed. My tuna appetizer was very good, but none of the entree's we got were great, and the chicken entree ended up being completely uninteresting. What made this even more disappointing was the service was slow. Considering the price, even the reduced price of a Restaurant Week menu, I would not recommend Aldo's to anyone."

  • "The food was amazing! We started with the tuna appetizer and the eggplant parm, both were delicious. The tuna was on a flaky "biscuit" with a drizzled sauce on top. I have never had eggplant parm before but I am pretty sure I am now spoiled and will always compare each time I have this item to the one I had at Aldo's. The main course was the cod and flank steak. Both were excellent and I loved the potatoes the steak cam with. The dessert was amazing! I am still thinking about it a week later. It was a blueberry "cheesecake." When I saw that there was no chocolate option on the restaurant week menu I was disappointed and just knew I was not going to enjoy this part of the meal. I was pleasantly surprised that I was wanting more."

Unfortunately, this past Saturday evening, the waiter brought us at least one wrong appetizer, main course AND dessert. He kindly brought out four Limoncello drinks after our meal, but we were a little surprised (and disappointed) at the level of service."

Members who attended continue to remark upon the superb dinner they enjoyed . Over the years,Aldo's has maintained consistently high standards with regard to every aspect of the dining experience. The two young brothers owing the restaurant -- of which one is the chef-- have evidently inculcated their high standards into several younger family members who are involved in the operation. The staff has being rigorously trained in competence,knowledge of menu, and the importance of courteous and dignified service."

  • "We really loved the restaurant and the service. Food was fantastic and it's a great place for any romantic special event. One minor hiccup. Their air conditioning for the second floor failed which is where we planned to have dinner. Aldo's called me and explained the issue also offering to not seat anyone around us so we had the privacy we wanted. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. ***Note: I used the the site recommended by opentable www.limos.com to have a car service pick us up for the evening. The driver called me exactly at the pick up time to tell me he was running 30 mins late. We were late for our reservation. I will not use www.limos.com or the car service NTW limos @ www.nwtlimo.com ever again."

I had the fried calamari, a wonderful field greens salad, and the pasta with Bolognese. Wow! All delicious and with wonderful, friendly service. Don't walk, RUN to this restaurant!   • "The layout could be improved for those romantic evenings by including some of the two persons tables in the same area as the larger tables as it would be a more comfortable and private location. Service seemed more about the waiter than that of the customer. Food was adequate .. lacked imagination and variety. Cod was served on a bed of risotto and was boring in presentation and just about eatable. Clearly this restaurant is surviving on its past reputation...wake up before its too late"

  • "The service was excelent, the booking through the internet perfect and the hospitality given outstanding. We had at every moment a very comfortable stay and enjoyed the very good serving and table standard. The Staff was focused on detail and adressed our wishes with great friendlyness. The food however was Ok but not as good as expected and described. The pasta was well overkocked and killed the probably good taste of the sauce. The startes were very good. We will come again, try other dishes and see if they meet our experiance with other Italian Restaurants. by the way we lived 5years in Bologna Italy. Hard to compeet with this."

Since then I have been to several places but none could match the quality of the food and variety of the menu. Although higher priced, the food is excellent. I may not be able to afford the frequency as the old days, but when I eat at Aldo's, it is memorable."

  • "Sadly, my first visit to Aldo's since a successful office holiday party was a disappointment. Already top end prices have been jacked up 20% which is bad enough but to combine this increase with a move to all a la carte entrees? After all these years management decides to sneak in the changes with selective deletions? Forever, the osso buco comes with asparagus & risotto. Now, at $38 no risotto. Really? Service & ingredients are still top notch but quality control is slipping. Bolognese pasta & flourless chocolate cake were excellent, but the vibe now is more stick it to the customer than a total focus on flawless food and service. What a shame. I wish Aldo's continued success but have my doubts and do not plan to return anytime soon."

The food was delicious and the services was great. My friend and I received a tour of their wine cellar which was quite nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and will return whenever I am back in the area."

  • "Last night we went to Aldo's and it almost ruined our entire vacation. We were seated and poured water, we order drinks, appetizers, salad and and dinner right away. We waited and hour and received nothing but bread and a glass of wine. Finally they plopped down our salads after 1 hour/15 min so we asked the waiter where were our appetizers? His statement was" I guess I was confused" WHAT? - shouldn't we have gotten our appetizers long ago, like before the salad? He said " I don't know" - we cancelled them- he made no apologies, we heard nothing from the manager.. 2 hours in the entrees were finally served - we ate and left - It is sad when such a great restaurant can have such a disconnect - we will not be back."

  • "We dined at Aldo's on July 5th and a a spectacular meal. The caprese salad was amazing - the freshest tomatoes I've had all summer, with the right amount of basil and drizzled oil. The spaghetti carbonara is highly recommended, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Would definitely go back and have already recommended that friends and family try Aldo's next time they're in Baltimore."

  • "I was in charge of selecting the location for our anniversary dinner on a weekend trip to Baltimore, MD. From the moment we entered the restaurant I knew I had made a fantastic choice. The wine list is superb and the menu was excellent. We started our meal with an Eggplant and Mozzarella Appetizer made with the freshest ingredients. Next chubby selected a small pasta plate, again excellent and I had a salad with the freshest tomatoes I've had in a long time! Our entrees were superb! Hubby had Bronzini and I had the Surf and Turf (lump crab cake). Finally as a celebration thank you, our waiter delivered Limoncello's and the best Tiramisu I've had in quite a while. Looking for a fabulous dining experience, add Aldo's to your list!"
