We went to Aldo's for my mom's birthday and even with my 4 y.o. niece in tow, no one at the restaurant seemed to mind her being a bit noisy (we had gone early to avoid the crowds). Greeted immediately with coat check which was great in November. Our server was wonderful, all the staff was very friendly and kept wishing my mom a Happy Birthday. They even watched and laughed as she opened gifts. Apps and dinner was amazing. Steaks cooked to perfection and seafood and pasta as well. We didn't have room for dessert but they did bring her out an Italian treat with glowing candle as well as complimentary Limoncello shots for all the of age adults which we more than appreciated! A very nice gesture we won't forget! Cost was high but we were expecting it so no issues. Only complaint was the decor was rather utilitarian. The place was very cold and could definitely use some warmth to make it feel more welcoming.

Fine food. Great service. Great warmth and overall hospitality. Over the years, among other reasons to eat there, I have found Aldo's to be a selling point to a person considering moving to Baltimore. Aldo, Sergio and the staff provide perfect individual attention, creative meals, wonderful desserts, and a superb introduction to the charms of the city.

We had not dined here for at least 10 years. We were looking for something different than the steakhouses, and fish markets in Inner Harbor. Nothing was terrible, though the staff seemed to focus on the private party in the wine cellar. We had the same mediocre experience, at another former mainstay in Little Italy. It seems that Little Italy has not kept up with the times, and the burgeoning existence of Harbor East.

We were in Baltimore on vacation and sampled a number of the better restaurants in the city. Aldo's was certainly the best Italian in Little Italy. The highlight of our dinner at Aldo's was the pasta courses, which were superbly prepared and perfectly authentic. The meat dishes were a bit disappointing because too much sauce covered our osso bucco and saltimbocca. The dessert was again very good, with a light, tasty tiramisu. Aldo's wine selections were great, highlighted by an amazingly good and unique "cream limoncello" accompanying dessert. It was one of the best dessert accompaniments that we have had recently. The atmosphere is subdued, quiet, and appropriate for fine dining. Service was good, but not exceptional.

The food at Aldo's is excellent with polished, professional service. unfortunately, the patrons look like they should be cleaning the dumpster. We picked Aldo's from a recommendation and are glad we went. The restaurant was quiet and the staff was very good serving us. The food was awesome in taste and the quality of the ingredients. My wife had the grilled beet salad along with the wild boar dish & pasta. She loved both dishes and would get again in a heartbeat. I had the spinach salad with the Maryland surf & turf special (crab cake & filet). The crab cake had loads of lump meat and the filet was the best I have ever got from a restaurant. My wife had the Chianti and I had the house margarita on the rocks. Both were really good. Dessert was a apple tart with ice cream and berries with custard. Both were awesome. We loved the quality and size portions that you weren't overstuffed

This restaurant is beautifully decorated and seems to be very popular. The prices, are out of line, however. $14 for a glass of the house wine is ridiculous for a restaurant of this caliber. The food at Aldo's was fine. I had pasta with Italian sausage and it was good, but very, very salty. My dining partner had the fish of the day, Bronzini, which was priced at $32. It arrived looking very lonely as it was about about a 5 or 6 oz. fillet with absolutely nothing else on the plate. Luckily, the bread served to the table is delicious. Our server was very nice, but forgot about us for long periods of time. We frequent several other restaurants in Little Italy on a regular basis, so I don't think we'll be going back to Aldo's.

This was our second visit to Aldo's and once again, the food and service were superb. The pastas are light and flavorful, and the sauces are spot-on in terms of balance of flavors. The meat and fish dishes have all been excellent and cooked exactly as ordered, the sauces and accompaniments compliment the without overwhelming them. When we've had room for it, the desserts are outstanding. The staff were very helpful in accommodating a dairy allergy in our party, and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We brought my parents with us this time, and we are already making plans for our next visit.

My husband and I picked Aldo's for our 8th wedding anniversary dinner. We were sat in a dining area with only one other occupied table. While they were a little loud at times (enjoying a spirited work conversation) we enjoyed some of the punch lines while we dined. Roman, our server, kept asking if we wanted to be re-sat somewhere else, but who wants to give up free entertainment? I enjoyed my spinach salad and the Ossobuco. I had never had bone marrow, but Roman showed me how to eat it on bread, which was amazing! Best lemoncello I have ever had...I can't wait to go back again!

Booked Aldo's by mistake while out with some friends...thought it was another restaurant that began with an A. Pricey, but food and service was impeccable. We were seriously underdressed for this establishment, but they never blinked an eye. Sat us quickly, smartly, and treated us as if we came in our finest. Not overpriced, and food was well proportioned. Certainly would come her again with the wife for a romantic evening, or to celebrate something special. Notice quite a few other clientele there for special celebrations. Kudos to the headwaiter and servers for making us feel welcome.

My wife and I went to Aldo's for our wedding anniversary knowing only that Aldo's was in the Little Italy section of Baltimore and having been to Little Italy in Boston multiple times, figured the place is Italian, it's in a place called Little Italy, it has wine, it has Italian food, probably a safe bet. My odds here were better than the Cubs making it to the World Series or winning the lottery, and I was right. Aldo's was excellent. We spent time at the bar, which was small and served it's purpose: getting drinks to the table and as a stopping point for people who get there a half hour before their reservation. Our dinner was excellent as well. The Saltimbocca and Surf and Turf were delicious, dessert delightful and service amazing.

Service was awful. Waited almost 2 hours for a lukewarm dinner. Food was less than average; specifically, gluey and obviously reheated pasta. Must have been microwaved. This place does not deserve the rating it gets. Would never go back and would steer others away from this overpriced and poor quality of food restaurant.

But it is starting to show its age. The money has been paired done over the past year or so, some for the better some worse. The decor and ambiance still heightens the meal, but it needs a tad of refreshing. After living in the area for 16 years and then moving away we still went back to Aldo's on our return and would do it again. Just hoping next time some of the old polish is restored.

We've been looking for a new favorite Italian restaurant since Della Notte closed and we might have found it. Aldo's is a lovely space and a nice step up from a lot of spaghetti joints! Large, ably mixed Manhattans started our evening and it continued in a very positive way. Warm foccacio on request was very tasty and our meals didn't disappoint. Fresh Bronzini, Veal Saltimbaca, Osso Buco and House made peppardelle with Bolognese were all top notch. Service was terrific and the wait staff went out of their way to fix a potential problem and give us a great dining experience. It is a little pricey but worth every bit of it!

It sure wasn't anything special - certainly not compared to so many other really good restaurants in town. We got the impression that Aldo's may be happy just trying to coast on its reputation. We went for my wife's birthday in part because we've been hearing about Aldo's since we moved here 25 years ago - and the place gave us the impression of our having gone back 25 years (or more) in time. The food was fine - but not fine for the prices being charged. Each entree came out only warm - all of our dishes were cold by the time we finished them. The service was perfunctory at best. Both appetizer and entree plates sat for several minutes after having been finished. We will come back - if someone else is willing to pay what they charge!

Pretty decor and polite service, but the food was not up to the prices charged. Bolognase appetizer was very unbalanced-too much pork. Beet salad had 3 slices of beets and way too much lettuce. Veal was tender (Frances and Osso Bucolic)- portions were very small and were swimming in sauce. I had to move mine to a seperate plate to enjoy it. We won't be back, there are better places to spend $200 for dinner.

We go to Inner Harbor to eat. And when it's going to be Italian, It's Aldo's. So when its the train or we jump into a car to drive that distance or food, it had better be worth it. Trust "daddy", it is. Our preferred server is Slava; always engaging, pleasant and professional. We go crazy over the osso bucca and the great handmade pastas. We had the great pleasure of meeting Aldo this time who seemed like a man on a mission charging through the restaurant with a dish of something unknown to us. He graciously stopped to explain and extoll the virtues of prickly pears which he insisted upon us trying. Ahhhh, another great night at Aldo's! We love Aldo's and I hope anyone who is considering giving them a try, then do so!! Gracie Aldo and Slava
