"When a restaurant deserves props then they should get them. Given the amount of hard work, long hours and at the same time keeping an air of hospitality and service of high standards. Cafe Amici soon to be renamed (same owner) Albert's Montclair is one of those that I believe will stand the test of time. Great food is not enough but it certainly is a requirement. The location is stellar and the people watching top of the line. Church St. is arguably one of the most charming dining destinations in NJ. Just my opinion of course."

"we enjoyed this resturant very much and BYOB is always a favorite. very attentive waiter, food was good and will go back again! one tiny mis-step -- we ordered the tuna for an appetizer and it was slightly overcooked, which was a bummer."

"we arrived early and they seated us no problem. Good salads, pizza. We ordered risotto and steak and they were both tasty. I would return."

"It was a rainy Friday night but the restaurant was full which is always a good sign. Warm and friendly greeting also a good sign.
The owner Albert came over after my friend found he forgot his wallet. Though I offered money, Albert said don't worry about it. Next time is ok.
The food was awesome,
We ordered a wood fired pizza for the table and I had Cali Salmon with a fresh salad side which was too big too finish.
My friend had the St. Louis Ribs and homemade slaw which must have been enough for 2-3 people. The meat fell off the bone as it should and not a morsel left on the plate. Homemade gelato for a palate cleanser left us wanting more. To top it off Chef Pierre stopped by to make sure we were enjoying the meal. A winner bstanda"

"We had dinner on a Saturday night after a movie. Four of us had different appetizers, all we're good & substantial,
All main courses also good to excellent, ranging from hamburger, pasta bolognese, to shrimp special in broth w/ dumplings !
Wait staff was friendly & very attentive. Noise level was "energetic" so we opted for upstairs seating (a little less 'energy').
We recommend this friendly neighborhood restaurant & will definitely come back!"

"Food was average at best, salty and uninspiring at worst. Friendly place, good service, convenient but nothing exciting. Have now eaten there three times and prefer the lunch menu which doesn't miss the mark with the simpler fare of salads and burgers."
