A word from Alberto's Ristorante
Alberto's Ristorante was established in 1984 at which time, Northern Italian cuisine and fresh homemade pasta were introduced to Cape Cod for the first time. Since then, we have continued this tradition of all fresh ingredients and in-house preparation of every course from the soups to the desserts.

Our reputation for casual elegance arises from our emphasis on decor, service, the pride we take in food preparation, and our affordability. Over the years, we have received rave reviews from food critics from the Cape Cod Times, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Cape Cod Life Magazine, Fodor's, AAA, and New York Times critic James Beard for "...exquisite Northern Italian cuisine". Our lounge is the perfect setting for a before dinner cocktail, an after dinner espresso, or an even more casual meal. .

  • "Three of us had a terrific dinner this past weekend. We had different appetizers, entrees and dessert and all were delicious. The service was impeccable. We felt very well taken care of and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. They have very nice seating options so are able to handle groups without creating noise and distractions for smaller groups. We've visited the restaurant at different points over the years and appreciate that the quality of the food and service remains high. This was our first time going for the sunset special which is a fabulous deal. I hope they'll continue, although we probably won't want to go early once the weather is better!"

  • "Alberto's has a certain "feel" and a very repeatable experience. It's usually quiet, relaxed and accomodating. The food is good to very good, provided you like their take on Italian. I do. The wine list is well thought out and though not huge, a nice compliment to the menu. The one nagging problem I have: every time I order a bottle of wine, I'm presented with a vintage at least one year younger. This wouldn't be an issue if they would point it out and offer a discount. They don't. I have to point it out and often a discount still isn't offered. While not a deal breaker, it's not very customer focused. I'm a year-rounder. Maybe putting butts in seats isn't a problem in the summer, but it's a loooong winter and there's plenty of competition."

  • "If u go in the front, that is actually the wrong way. U need to go in the side entrance- i think they need a bigger sign. We walked through to the host and as we stood there someone else came in and walked in front of us and got seated first. Very odd! The dinner was very good, but a bit pricey! Would probably go back for an occassion"

  • "Alberto's has an extensive menu and is very consistent. We had a group of five and were looking forward to a night out. Our server perhaps was tired because she wasn't as enthusiastic as we were. A little too serious. However, it did not dampen our evening and it was enjoyable as always."

  • "2nd visit & again impressed w/just how delicious the food is. Shared 3 meatball appetizer, which were light, cheesy pillows in a perfect tomato sauce. They serve a great bread w/olives & oil for the table. Entrees were the chicken & shrimp Zingarella for my husband, & the veal Zingarella for me & all 3 proteins were perfectly cooked on beds of linguini w/artichoke hearts & the most delectable lemon/wine sauce, which is the "Zingarella", I guess. Two perfectly mixed, large, cocktails at very reasonable prices, a nice little salad each that came w/the entree, & absolutely no room for dessert as the portions are good sized, and even brought some home. So we look forward to our next excuse to drive 1.75 hours to the Cape for dinner!"

  • "Went for Valentine's Day and the place was packed, with many seated at the same time. Thought that may be a recipe for disaster. Instead we were treated as though we were the only table in the room. The waiter was attentive without hovering and never did we feel rushed. The food was superb. We started with calemari, which was tender and very tasty. The veal chop was cooked perfectly as was the tenderloin. Two plates of veal portofino were covered with a generous portion of lobster meat. The dessert sampler is a great way to finish off the meal for those who can't decide between many delicious options. Wine list is extensive. A truly memorable experience!"

  • "We had a party of nine and we were promptly sat when we arrived. It was a very cold night and we were comforted by the multiple fireplaces and warm atmosphere. Great offerings of food, drink, and deserts. Many of our party had never been and will be returning again. The food was fantastic as well as the prompt and attentive service. Can't wait to return."

  • "The meal was delicious, as was the wine, and the trio sampler for dessert was perfect! My husband wished the portions had been a little more, but other than that, it was all great! Except that we couldn't choose from the Prix Fix menu, which we wanted to, but was told that it was after 6 - yet there was no time limit stated on the menu. And there was an ad the next day in the paper for Alberto's advertising the Prix Fix $30.00 dinner all night long, and the ad also made mention that they were accepting reservations for New Year's Eve - which is when we went. So I would assume that the Prix Fix dinners would have been good all night long on New Years Eve. Was very disappointed in that......."

  • "A Saturday lunch on a cold winter's day in a brightly light room. The food was very good, a bit slower food delivery than I would expect on what looked like a quiet day, but we were in no rush and enjoyed each other's company. Kudos to the gentleman who answered the phone on two occasions who provided excellent direction on where to park (we were meeting a person who has a bit of a mobility problem) and who altered our reservation and conveyed a message we were running late to the person we were meeting. All done with no drama, and our lunch mate was comfortably seated with a newspaper and something to drink while awaiting our arrival."

I had the cesar salad which was excellent, my sister had the garlic bread which is a must have at Alberto's and our friend Debbie had the spinach salad which she enjoyed. Debbie and I had the beef short ribs which were excellent and my sister had the salmon which was also very good, she gave the risotto which came with the salmon high marks. My sister and I had the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert and our friend Debbie had the chocolate cake. Needless to say we all waddled out of there. The Christmas decorations were very nice and added to our wonderful evening."

We were pleased to find they have an affordable early dining fixed price menu, as well as an extensive regular menu. The wine list is excellent. The desserts are all homemade. The server did not rush our dinner, so we were able to sit and relax and have an after dinner cocktail. The food was flavorful and the portions generous. We will definitely return!"

The waiter came over with two glasses of champagne (on the house) to toast to our anniversary. Overall it was just a great evening. Highly recommend!!"

  • "We have dined at Alberto's in the past and this evening seemed a bit hurried and unorganized. We were seated for our reservation immediately, but we were seated at a table meant for six (we were three) at the food pass area for the servers which was noisy, disturbing and somewhat uncomfortable. We ordered off the restaurant week menu and it almost felt "wedding service like", that could have been read into somewhat by us as a table. Service was a little slow and not so super friendly. The food was not as remarkable as our past dining experiences, but yet, it was tasty. We will return again in hopes that we happened to be there on an off evening."

  • "We went to this restaurant on our trip to Hyannis and we chose it for its moderate pricing (compared to the other restaurants on the busy main street). They admitted us within 5-10 minutes after our reservation time and readily brought us to a nice table. Given the busy time of the season and that busy main street, the restaurant was on the quiet end of "moderate" and maybe even quiet during off-peak hours. The food was very good and the menu was kept simple and did not have a large number of choices. Decoration was nice. We were very satisfied with our choice and had a good time. It had a nice section on the sidewalk to eat outside and has a generous parking behind the restaurant off another street which I highly recommend you use."

  • "We went to Alberto's for dinner for my birthday. It was our first time there. We went for the early dinner specials. Large selection of choices for appertizers, meals and desserts. We decided on spinach salad and calamari, both were excellent...calamari was cooked just right! For meals we had Scallop and Shrimp Orvietto and Schrod Franchaise. Both were excellent, portions just right. Dessert we had cheesecake and tartuffo (which I had never had before) One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Great service, food, and value. We will definetly return and have recommended it others already>"

  • "Four of us were celebrating a girlfriend's birthday. Every fireplace was on in the restaurant which added to the ambience. iThe restaurant was decorated for Christmas and looked lovely. The service was great. The food was delicious. The osso bucco melted in my mouth. The cannelloni was enjoyed by 2 others. Another had the gnocchi with scallops. There was so much she took half of it home. The 3 course early bird specials included appetizers, entree & dessert with a lot choices for $21.95. What a bargain for such great food! The only complaint was the music was loud at times."

  • "1st visit. $30 3-course meal pleasant surprise, & they were very accomodating when we preferred 2 appetizers to a dessert. Generous drinks @ very fair prices. Eggplant rollatini (called something else) was delish. Veal Saltimbocca was a little tough, but flavors great w/mushroom/spinach/cheese sauce & light garlic, perfectly cooked broccoli & pasta. My husband had his fave, NE clam chowder, & the taste I had was superb. His dinner of veal/ eggplant parm was very satisfying. Our waiter, Rado, was knowledgable, pleasant &, as already stated, accomodating. Will definitely return, as the menu was very extensive. Sat in front room facing Main St., which on a cool Nov. evening was perfect w/gas fireplace & twinkling lights. Will return."

  • "This is a great venue for a special night with friends or a spouse/significant other. The elegant-clad waitstaff and the way the dinning room is split up lends itself to a feeling of respected privacy, quiet dinner conversations and that the table is yours for how ever long one wants to stay. Three of the four of us enjoyed the night's specials - pork medallions and a Mediterranean shrimp - and the other, the salmon. All of the dishes were just delightful. All very fresh seafood along with moist and tasty pork."

On our most recent visit, I had the chicken saltimbocca which was wonderful. My husband had the pasta Bolognese and he said it was the best he had ever had. Our server was delightful and very attentive and the ambience of the restaurant is warm and inviting. I recommend Alberto's without any reservation."
