Silvana the owner is absolutely wonderful. She is hands on and very helpful with what dinner to order and what wine to pair it with. The specials on a daily basis are always delicious and expansive. The service is wonderful. Every server helps eachother out and it makes for a very enjoyable dining experience. I reccomend this place to everyone I know. It is surely a gem in Queens. I keep going back! They even make me penne alla Vodka although it is not on the menu and it is delicious! The Zabaglione dessert is absolutely delightful. The food is great and not disappointing. The staff are friendly, at tentative and not overbearing. The owner are always there to greet you and make you feel at home. This is truly a great place. Everything on the menu is delicious, although I prefer the tomato sauce over the cream sauce. The wait staff is amazingly friendly and the kitchen will prepare your meal any way you like. The martini was perfect. I love this place. Finally! I found a great Italian restaurant in Forest Hills. I wonder if the fish I ordered had been prepared with butter. The menu said (if I recall correctly) wine, lemon, olive oil but I felt the sauce was a bit buttery (which would have preempted me to order it differently).
The strawberries zabaglione had their usual fabulous Zabaglione but the strawberries were a bit mushy. Alberto's used to have the best strawberries in this part of the hemisphere in our winter.
