"Wait staff and hostesses usually very helpful and friendly. However, we were there with friends the next day, and our Opentable reservation was cancelled while we were still there dining. This has yet to be remedied."

"Dinner was very good and our server Debbie was great, she was very friendly. We were staying at the hotel and had a late dinner reservation. We had the restaurant to ourselves, Debbie didn't rush us at all. Overall a very good experience, as usual at Simpsons, in The Desmond hotel!"

"Food was delicious and very resonable. My wife and I are trying to think up reasons to stay overnight or maybe for a weekend in Albany in the future, just to stay at this amazing hotel with just 1 of the reasons being for the food."

"My boyfriend I are both 19 years old. My parents made these reservations for our 1st valentined day together. We had the most enjoyable night and everyone who attended to us acted as though we were the only customers. We saw them do the same for the many others who were dining that night. My parents said that is why they always go back to the Desmond. "They consistently give great service and the food is consistently delicious"."

"Everything was very good. The only complaint I have is that I made reservations online, and apparently the manager had blocked online reservations because he wanted to handle them himself. I did not know this, and was forced to make reservations for dinner at 4:30 PM. That was the only time slot available according to the online website. When we got there, the place was empty. We were the only ones there."

"As usual, the staff is attentive to every detail. Food is excellent, and prepared exactly as requested. Beer and wine selection is good, to very good. Deserts range from "just good comfort food" to elegant.

This is a great place for that special dinner for a Birthday, Anniversary, or Marriage Proposal.

This is by far one of our favorite places in all of the Capital District."

"Went for Christmas Eve lunch, had never been before. We had 2 elderly people with us and the staff were ready for us! Very accomodating, waiters were excellent, attentive, food came quickly."
