  • "We ate here in August on our way home from vacation. We were so impressed with the food and ambiance, that we made reservations months in advance for our wedding anniversary celebration. We had to drive two and a half hours to get here, but we were certainly, not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. I especially loved the chilled strawberry soup and my lobster tail was wonderful. Our server was very attentive and gave me a lovely long stem rose with a container of cookies when we finished our meal. We stayed the night in your beautiful hotel. We hope to make this a yearly event."

  • "The meals were well-prepared as you would expect for entrees that are $27-$33 range but not 5-star. It did take a little while to get us our drinks so we ordered drinks and our entrees together. I prefer to sip on a beverage while reading the menu. the potato side was rather unflavorful, seemed more for presentation. All in all a nice dining experience and the piano player was a nice touch, as was the rose for the ladies. I was surprised for a Friday night how empty the Scrimshaw was. Pricey?"
