"Food was outstanding, my clams, lobster bisque and filet were excellent as well as my wife's shrimp cocktail and salmon. The service was quick but timely, never seemed rushed. Our 38th anniversary was acknowledged by three employees, very nicely. Friends had ordered a bottle of champagne and was served seamlessly with a very nice note card. Our dessert was an anniversary gift from the restaurant!"

"We travel to Albany frequently and always stay at The Desmond. Any opportunity we have, we dine at the Scrimshaw. It is always a fantastic dining experience. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious!"

"Excellent upscale dining experience. Probably tied for best service I've ever experienced. Entrees are brought to the table covered with a silver dome and all dishes are revealed simultaneously. Everyone was pleased with their meals. Great seafood selection."

"I brought my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day. Everyone was very attentive, the food was fantastic, and at the end they even gave my date a rose. I can't believe the thought that goes into each meal and making sure each guest is always happy. I would definitely recommend the Scrimshaw to anyone looking to celebrate any occasion."

"Dined on Valentine's Day. We had a 6:00 pm reservation. Didn't leave the restaurant until after 9:00 pm. We waited 30 minutes between the sorbet and the entree. Our wine was never replenished without waving down a waitress which was difficult. Everyone in the restaurant appeared to be waiting long intervals between courses."

"I love coming here for the great service and friendly staff. You have the option to make your meal as comfy or elaborate as you desire. Quiet, warm and romantic. Great for family to catch up over dinner as well, as you can hear each other speak!"
