Alan Wong's Restaurantoutstanding!i seriously love this place. we started with the opihi shooters which is a different variation of oysters shooters and they were amazing, a bit tiny but good. the spicy ahi lumpia was alright, but the entrees made up for it. i had the five-spice pork chop and it was delicious, it was savory with a hint of sweetness to it while my date had the ginger crusted onaga. we finished dinner with the pineapple shave ice which has a panna cotta and dehydrated pineapple topped with a shaved ginger, vanilla, and pineapple concoction. the lilikoi creme brulee was amazing, layered with tapioca on the bottom it was truly magnificent. service was outstanding and we were checked up on multiple times. this is a restaurant you need to visit at least once.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulously fullOur experience at Alan Wongs was fabulous! Not only was the food impeccable, the service was stellar and most of all very kind and respectful. I dined with an out-of-town friend I had not seen for 6 years. We sat and ate from 5:30p - 9:00p. We didn't realize we were there that long. The place was obviously busy and there had been 3 sets of diners that sat next to us. However, the waiter never rushed us, never bothered us, but was always available if we wanted or needed anything else. I was disappointed not to find a time before 9:15 during our entire week's stay! I thought I'd call the restaurant once we arrived in Oahu. The restaurant beat me to it. They called my cell to confirm our visit and they were able to offer a few earlier times on several other days. So nice! He used very unusual ingredients and the staff was very familiar with them. We had a problem with a dish and they removed it from the bill.
