"Wonderful food, generous portions. Appetizers, especially the arancini and sausage with peppers, were delicious, but hearty. Would order fewer next time. Several of us had entrees with'fruitti di mare' and the shellfish were especially sweet-tasting and fresh. Our non- seafood eater ordered the gnocchi alla vodka and the gnocchi was incredibly light. Whatever you do, save room for homemade gelato for dessert--they offer 24 kinds. Service was friendly and attentive."

"We love Al Teatro! It is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The pasta and pizza are outstanding and the owners make sure your every need is met. Don't miss the authentic gelato from Italy-the Elvis flavor of peanut butter and banana was to die for!!"

"We went on the day after they had a large event and we were rehabilitated building. The music was horrible..that needs to be changed . Our waitress was very helpful Pizza was excellent and salads hugh. Dessert was fun because we could taste the gelatos before we made our choice. I hope they get more business!! as the food is very good"

"I LOVE that the theater is being restored. It is gorgeous & an incredible undertaking overall. But, at the restaurant, the staff is untrained. They kept asking us questions like, "Would you like more water?" It was tap water, by the way. And, "Do you want more wine?" We had a bottle for the 2 of us. Don't ask, just fill. And, when our food came, it was obvious that it had been under a heating lamp for quite a while. However, it was still very tasty & reasonably priced. The atmosphere is romantic, although the murals on the walls are heinous."
