I had the carpaccio antipasti, and two primi, the tagliatelle and the scallop/asparagus risotto for my meal. The tagliatelle with duck confit and truffle oil was very nice indeed. The server was knowledgeable and attentive. I did not have one of the larger secondi plates, and I didn't drink that night, so I can't speak for the wine list. There was a larger party there that was having a good time, and based on that, I think it could get loud if the whole restaurant is full. The valet service was not available on the weeknight I was there, and parking can be difficult to find at times. Would definitely go back.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous from start to finish...Al Di La is one of my most favorite restaurants in the Charleston area - the food is always delicious, the service is wonderful - friendly, and knowledgable - we had a great young lady for our server (Tess!) last night and she made the experience even better with her excellent service and bright smile! I always get the in-house made pasta bolognese, which is outstanding, but you would be happy with any choice you made here! The wine selection is great as well! Food, service, ambience, everything perfect. When the weather is right you must taker advantage of their outdoor seating. She had the beet salad, which was one of the better beet salads I have ever tried and I'm not a beet fan. She also had the risotto with sea scallops which in her words was the perfect dish! Our server LeighAnn recommended a great wine and was very attentive and helpful with out being overbearing. The duck confit and bolognese where spectacular as well.
