  • "We've heard about Al Biernats since arriving in DFW some time back. We finally had our first opportunity to see what the fuss was all about. We're still trying to figure out what all of the fuss was all about. Service is definitely very good. But that's really about all I can say that's above "average". Maybe our expectations were too high going in, but the whole experience was simply average. The menu choices are extensive! Everything from Chicken Parmigian to Chilean Sea Bass to Filets! But it makes me wonder if they were to specialize in a couple things if those things might not be better (above average)."

We were in the "quietest" spot in the restaurant and it was very loud - if you want to have a conversation here, go at lunch. This was a Tuesday night and it was loud."

  • "We'll never be royals, but every once in a while we like to pretend we are. I doubt there's another restaurant in Dallas where you know in advance you'll be treated like a rich and/or famous regular, despite falling into neither category. Our server was professional and accommodating, eager to help us share appetizers and side dishes, plating them in the kitchen, and splitting the wedge salad so my wife could get goat cheese on hers while I went with the blue cheese. Don't come to Al's if you're afraid of a big bill, and you can get a wider variety of great food for less money at many other fancy restaurants, but there's no better place for a celebration."

  • "This was our first dining experience at Al Biernats on a friend's recommendation. Our party of six enjoyed the sea bass, red snapper special and filet steaks. The sides to share were great and plentiful including the whipped sweat potatoes, creamed corn and brussels sprouts. Our group, all from California, found the wine list exceptional and fairly priced. Noise level would make it hard for a party greater than six to share conversation. Our server and his assistant were very accommodating."

  • "The food was excellent and came out quickly. However, the service we received was disappointing. Our waiter was dealing with a difficult table, so another waiter took care of us. We felt very unnoticed and not attended too. When our waiter was available, she would just walk by and ignore us. When our check finally arrived and we placed our card inside, she walked by it three times without collecting it. The manager finally came and took care of it. We dined at Al Biernats for my wife's birthday. The hostess and manager made sure to wish her a happy birthday, but our waiter never mentioned it. We ordered dessert and expected some acknowledgement of her birthday, but none was given."

  • "We've dined at Al Biernat's many times, but generally are reservations are between 6 -7pm. This time our reservation was at 8:30pm and it was notable louder and more vibrant which is fine unless you are trying to have a conversation with a small group. Waiter was not as attentive as I'm accustomed too...possibly due to the restaurant being at capacity. Food quality was consistently great. Will simply stick to earlier reservations in the future and that should resolve all my issues."

  • "We met a couple for a celebratory meal. We came on recommendation from friends. The snapper with crab and shrimp in a garlic sauce was perfectly prepared, richly sauced and flavorful. The filet mignon was perfectly blackened on the ends and a perfect medium. The vegetables were amazing as were the shrimp cocktail and oyster appetizers. Our server Tito was attentive and experienced. We never had to ask fo anything, as he was handy all night. We met the owner who is a hands-on restaurateur. We were very impressed with the ambience and the attentive staff. It's loud, but it's a good energy. Locally owned, not a franchisee, and fabulous steak and seafood house.with an italian flair. We will definitely come again."

I was looking for a place that wasupto par withhow I perceive my clients and that shows them my appreciation of them and their business. Al Biernat's had the reviews, web presence and menu that seemed to fit. They lived up to it too. Food was great, ambiance was great,, service was great. The only partialdownside was the noise level, which made it hard to talk with anybody but the people immediately next to you. But I guess that es a small price to pay for the overall great energy in the room. In the and happy and excited client makes Al Biernat's a five star business dinner place for me."

  • "The restaurant itself has always been filled with ambience and good food. We went early, which makes a big difference I ordered a large filet and they brought me a small one. The food was as always very good, but I found my streak to be a little too salty. For the prices, I think there should be a little more attention to detail and not mistakes on orders. They did bring a complimentary birthday cake, which was a nice gesture. I wish they would serve "pomme frites" as an appetizer. Still, a very lovely night. ."

Between the 4 of us, we had filet mignon (each cooked perfectly), mussels, lobster, goat cheese salad and a Caesar salad, plus wine. The server was great. Gave us just the right amount of attention! Seemed like she had a radar that let her know exactly when we might need something. Al Biernet's is great for couples, dinner with friends or a business gathering."
