I've never had a bad meal at Akasha--always fresh and interesting recipes there are always delicious. I can't say enough about my favorite cocktail named for chef Akasha. If you are a party of two definitely sit at the bar. The service is perfect in every way. With larger parties you will be seated in a stylish restaurant and very cool leather and still chairs that I find very uncomfortable. I would say the discomfort level of the chairs is the only downfall in the entire restaurant

The restaurant was in a great location in the middle of downtown Culver City. Started the meal off with a Jalapeño margarita, wow it was an amazing drink. 3 of us ordered the flat iron steak, nice sliced and cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce. Another person had the curry seafood and loved that as well. Wednesdays are half-off wine night which made it nice too, just wish when we got the bill the waiter would have remembered to discount it. Don't like it when I have extra stuff added to my bill and need to check it.

We stopped prior to a Forum concert with reservations. No hello, no welcome, no greeting...just a growled question and no smile/eye contact: do you have a reservation? (yes we do) On leaving she (and two others standing with her) still had no smile, no goodbye and a poor attitude--- Ambience and atmosphere is upscale casual and quite attractive. Food server was personable, professional and knowledgable. Food: Salmon, kale salad and chicken sliders were simply OK--nothing special and neither of us would order those items again. Three stars is probably too many...but food server was really good. We probably won't return.

Very nice seared scallops. Good burrata salad, but that's not exactly a culinary challenge. Mediocre salmon main course, lacking flavor, lacking interest. Wednesday night half-priced wine bottles had the pricing about where it should be every night. I'd go back for the sake of convenience, or for cocktails. The seared scallops were very good, but overall the food was not compelling.

Been here twice now and have not been disappointed. One night I tried their wild boar ragu special and it was so flavorful and delicious. The portion was just right -- not too much, not too little. Filling and no leftovers. The other night I had a the spicy turkey burger. Very tasty and enjoyable. It's a medium to high price point.

Picked Akasha because of its proximity to the Kirk Douglas Theater and the consistently high reviews on Open Table, and was not disappointed. I visited Akasha for a family dinner Sunday night. The food and service were very good. The menu was fairly limited, and some family members felt they didn't have many choices. The kale caeser salad was way too garlicky - to the point my husband couldn't eat it. The offered wines by the glass were not very special. In general, we all had a nice time and enjoyed our meals. Not good for those who have dietary needs - they would not make substitutions on dishes.

We just had a dinner on occasion of my son's birthday. When made a reservation, I specifically asked for a cozy, perhaps corner table, and we got just that. I hadn't been to Akasha in a few years, but suggested it as a place to meet some relatives I hadn't seen for a couple of years. We were not disappointed. Service -- including the very nice young lady at the reception desk -- was exceptional. One of my cousins uses a wheelchair and they set up a table where she could sit comfortably and not be an obstacle to Akasha staff or guests. Our server was friendly, attentive and informative. The brunch menu offers something for every taste -- whether you lean more towards breakfast type items or lunch type items, you will find something to make you happy. Put Akasha on your list of go-to places!

Akasha is my go-to restaurant in Culver City. The food is always top-notch and the new executive chef has been serving some new, adventurous plates, including some great baked goods for dessert. Staff is the best. The folks at the coffee bar are amazing serving coffee from Intelligensia. Added big bonus is their almond milk is homemade and the best I have ever had - that is no exaggeration.
