AKA BISTRO serves both authentic Provençal fare and innovative Japanese sashimi, prepared by award winning Executive Chef Chris Chung. Whether choosing from the French bistro or the… sashimi menu, everything will be fresh, seasonal and locally grown when possible. Surrounded by gardens, the outdoor terrace seats 28. Located just 20 minutes west of Boston at the Lincoln Station Depot, the surrounding farms of Lincoln will provide much of the produce. Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant will also serve brunch on weekends and provide take-out. Reservations recommended.Continued

"The food (Cod with clams, leeks, pancetta; chocolate ganache and flan) was excellent. Some of the dishes are a bit trendy and could do with more description on the menu (the presentation of the Rilette de Canard was a bit off-putting but delicious)."

"All the food was very good except for the steak frites. The sashimi was delicious but the portions were quite small. The restaurant is very casual. With a quick makeover, I believe AKA would attrack more customers. Right now, the prices don't match the atmosphere. I was happy I knewbefore hand the restaurant was so casual. Our party was very happy overall."

"Overpriced for what it is. Plenty of good restaurants worthy of the price tag, this isn't one. The japanese menu is notably better than the french. Seems to be a local favorite...but Lincoln is a one horse town, so the residents don't have any other options."

"Had a very good dinner, trying both sides of the menu. Service was attentive and nice. The only downside is the noise factor in the dining room space...unfortunate. Otherwise, this place is an unexpected surprise in a unique location."

"This is a special place-not only does it bring great cuisine to the western burbs, it is a great addition to the Boston food scene. The friendliness of the staff, esp. Christian, is a real plus ... we are finding all kinds of reasons to return again and again."

"Have had a series of great meals there, this time was the end of restaurant week and they were out of the raw ingredients for the specials. Still while I didn't get what I wanted I was pleased with what I got. On a non-restaurant-week day you can pretty confidently expect a 5 star experience for an informal French-Fusion-ish bistro and very nice people. Read the specials carefully and listen to the servers' descriptions, there are often options you may want to consider. The chef has a light, sure hand."

"Really great neighborhood restaurant. Can't beat the Japanese/French combination although we seem to stay on the French side of the Menu most of the time. Menu choices are varied and all that we have tried have been great. Where can you still get Escargot in the shells?
Could have a few more wine choices, but other wise great place!"
