Entrees were fabulous, Paella for 2, Rabbit and Rib Eye Steak. Desserts were fabulous, again couldn't choose because everything sounded so good. We each got a different dessert and shared. Truly exceptional Spanish cuisine with lovely atmosphere, and very good, but a bit slow service (which was not a problem for us, once we got our wine).
Had several different tapas to start and then paella Valenciana. Amazing pulpo dish with potato and lovely seasoning, a stuffed calamari that was wonderful and the arugula salad with beets and oranges was also superb. Pallea include lots of shrimp, mussels, chicken and even ribs (which added a great flavor). It could have used a bit more saffron, but other than that it was very good.
Server was knowledgable and friendly, although we had to wait for a while to see her. I was thrilled that they went out of their way to prepare a nice, romantic table for two at the bay window overlooking L Street. If you desire a well-crafted and savory paella, this is your place. Our choice this evening was the Paella Valenciana, a medley of jumbo shrip, muscles, chicken, and lovely, flavoral rice. Be prepared to wait about a half hour for your paella to be prepared. The restaurant does give you this admonition when you order, so be sure to order an appetizer or charcuterie plate to fill the gap. We enjoyed a variety of Spanish ham and cheese. Our table in the back patio was romantically set with candlelight among the garden like atmosphere. There was a perfect balance between the water fountain and the live Spanish guitar in the background. The service was outstanding.The food was fantastic.
