Food is excellent, the place is very cute and service is mostly great. Besides the food, what I love the most about this place is the "no rush" feeling, they take their time preparing your food, but they allow you plenty of time to hang out, never pushing you out the door like many other places who just want you out asap. The wait staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, and the food they bring is marvelous!
Whenever we have guests from out of town, we bring them to Aimee's, and they always have a great experience. Recently, my visiting sister and her husband wanted to dine at Aimee's two nights in a row!

We are always thrilled with the experience. Aimee is a charming host always bringing her special brand of French hospitality. It's great for groups or for a romantic interlude with someone special. And the accordion player brings a purely French note in a soft, unobtrusive way. Service is wonderful, formal and friendly. Aimee is true to her French heritage. Great sauces, elegantly prepared meats and fish, deserts to die for. And don't miss the soufflé!! Order it as soon as you arrive and be warned. It's NOT on the menu. There is a special place in our hearts for this rare find and it's owner. In a little strip mall on PCH. Beautiful interioir with an accordionist on Friday night. Met at the door by Aimee, as she does all of her guests. Charmante! Professional service, though kitchen was slow. Excellent menu and specials.Salads extremely fresh, beautifully presented. I had butter lettuce with walnuts, gorgonzola and a lemon vinaigrette. Entrees excellent between boeuf bourguinon, calves liver, filet with Roquefort, and a simple bistro steak. Very reasonable wine list.Souffle available tho we chose the apple tartin tart, with vanilla ice cream - all baked on premises. Superbe! Go. The accordian player set a lovely atmosphere - you felt like you were in a Parisian bistro. Husband is a scallop person. He said that he's had excellent scallops only one other time in his life. Aimee's scallops in the Coquille St. Jacques were tops. Tender, tasty in a delicate manner. We also had the Bouillabaisse. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Dessert: the entire tray was tempting; we will be back for more. Went with one of the specials, the Souffle Grand Marnier, and we were not disappointed. French Martini was lovely. The filet mignon is one of their signature specials and it is always fantastic. Service was great. Celebrated our mom's 81st birthday and the service staff and Aimee herself-- made it extra special. Although its location is in a strip mall, don't let that fool you. Once inside, you never feel like it is less than perfect. I searched for a special place to celebrate an early Easter with family and we were blessed. While the final bill was pricey, we also ordered 2 cocktails, a nice bottle of french wine, salad for each, entree and two desserts. All the entrees were spectacular; the crusted alaskan halibut being my favorite. First the location is deceptive in that from the street it does not look like the extremely fine establishment that it is. From the time my wife & I walked through the door, we were greeted by a gracious host and immediately seated. Our waiter was cordial & engaging, and very entertaining. He answered all our questions about the menu & told us about the specials. We stared with a duck pate appetizer, and each had an entree. To say the food was incredible is a mere understatement. From the presentation to the flavors, our breathe was taken away from the exquisite taste & quality of the food. I suppose it attracts a more early crowd than I expected. The food was excellent and very well priced in my opinion. Food and service are outstanding. You are always greeted like family friends. The wine list is reasonable. We split a special puff pastry, onion, spinach and shrimp appetizer. Then split the special salad which Aimee had invented. Both were excellent as was the veal chop that we each had for the main course. The grand marnier souffle was warm, tasty and wonderful. I'm so glad they have joined Open Table as now I get a wonderful meal with the added bonus of points. Aimee greets people like old friends. Food here is consistantly well prepared and presented. The wait staff, including Aimee, is attentive without being intrusive. My friend and I split the ceasar salad-just enough with the right amount of dressing and cheese. I had the pork tender-loin with lentils and my friend had the veal chop special. Both were excellent. It is also nice to go into a restaurant that doesn't have a TV on and/or canned music that you have to shout over when trying to talk. Noise here is just people having a good time.
