Disappointed at this outing to Aimee's which we've only been to a few times before. Service was lackluster and not at all attentive, and the food somewhat bland. I'm guessing that since the place has been sold and its days numbered, that there isn't much energy in attracting new patrons. Good luck Aimee, we'll remember the better times.

I love this little French spot. We invited our foodie friend to try this South Bay gem. But it was rather embarrassing when the service was so so so very slow. We dined on a Saturday evening with reservations at 7 pm.

We really enjoyed the entire evening. Aimee was her charming self. The Fixed Price menu was delicious and filling with both fish and meat selections and choice of 2 deserts which we of course had one of each - yummy chocolate lava cake with ice cream and a perfect creme brulee. Very reasonable wine prices with a good selection of both French and Californian.

We really enjoyed our dining experience with Madam Aimee. The food is always lovely but this evening was Bastille Day and Aimee's was a little frantic. The worst news is that they will be closing in about 3 weeks after 19 years of delighting the community with their charming eatery.

  • Overall pretty good

The good: great filet and french touches (sauces); LOVE the dipping sauce for the bread; enjoyed the ambiance that the accordianist provided. The negatives: It was very busy and we were at a table that was pretty tight to the adjoining tables. They didn't have our selected Bordeaux and said they didn't have many of the wines in the bottom half of the wine list. Summary = the good food will keep us coming back and it was a net-positive.

Aimee's was packed Sunday night, so the staff was understandably a bit stressed, but still managed to perform with grace and professionalism. Do NOT come here if you are in a kind of a hurry! Just as one enjoys in France, the pace is leisurely and the exquisite food takes time to prepare and should be savored slowly. Unfortunately, there always seems to be at least one table that fails to appreciate this "Old World" approach, bringing serious "buzz kill" to those who crave the occasional "slice-of-France" experience. Thankfully, Aimee never fails to save the day with her charm and cheek kisses!

We enjoyed the atmosphere of Aimee's. The accourdian playing musician was a nice compliment to their theme. We look forward to returning to Aimee's so that we may try the other fantastic sounding dishes. We liked everything that was ordered; the filet mignon, scallops pasta, and salmon. Service was precise and attentive, but the kitchen was a little slow.

Madame Aimee is ready at the door with a French accented welcome; waiters are friendly and smooth; menu is accomplished and the salads are especially European and delicious. There is a lovely ambiance at Aimee's; family celebrations go on and birthdays are celebrated. An accordionist often is present Friday and Saturday nights and his French melodies are the frosting on the gateau - you could be in Paris!

Aimee's consistently has good food and a nice atmosphere. The staff is very pleasant, especially Aimee who greets you, walks around to make sure you're doing well and serves dishes. While it was packed on a Friday night and the service was still good. The vegetable napolean is very tasty. This restaurant is a go-to for a good dining experience. Highly recommend.

We are long term customers. I requested the frog legs be prepared with garlic and butter instead of a Provencal sauce, I was told no. My husband requested his liver be served "pink", he was told the cook doesn't cook it that way. It seems for Aimee's it is there way, or the highway. In this day and age with so many restaurants available, the rigid attitude at this restaurant is out of line. I believe it is a case of a restaurant becoming popular, and then believing they can treat customers any way they like. We both had a miserable meal for a special occasion, and will most definitely not be back. We choose the highway!

My experience with Aimee's we'll say was "interesting". After reviewing the online menu and reading the reviews, it sounded like a great place to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife. Upon arriving however, we soon realized that they only had a fixed menu for that day, but was told that it was "a great deal". No price was listed on the menu I may add. Well, since it was too late to find another restaurant, we decided to try it. The food was mediocre, the service slow and the dessert was sub par. The final bill, with only a minimal tip, was an outrageous $250! Now, I don't mind paying for good food and an elegant atmosphere - such as you would find at Citrus (French) in LA, but never again at this place. Not worth the for the price.

I think Aimee's is probably better suited toward making a nice dinner. However, they were open for Mother's Day Brunch. The crepes were served lukewarm as if the components were prepared and assembled quickly. My fiance ordered the omelette but $29 for an omelette is a bit excessive. All you can drink Champagne was inclusive but we aren't much champagne drinkers so it's probably marketed at others. The bread assortment on the table was probably the highlight of the brunch. The servers and Aimee herself was quite attentive so I will probably go back for dinner someday.

We've been to Aimee's several times before and every single time we have had a great experience. Food is excellent, the place is very cute and service is mostly great. Besides the food, what I love the most about this place is the "no rush" feeling, they take their time preparing your food, but they allow you plenty of time to hang out, never pushing you out the door like many other places who just want you out asap. Aimee is a charming host always bringing her special brand of French hospitality. It's great for groups or for a romantic interlude with someone special. And the accordion player brings a purely French note in a soft, unobtrusive way. Service is wonderful, formal and friendly. Aimee is true to her French heritage. Great sauces, elegantly prepared meats and fish, deserts to die for. And don't miss the soufflé!! Order it as soon as you arrive and be warned. It's NOT on the menu. Beautiful interioir with an accordionist on Friday night. Met at the door by Aimee, as she does all of her guests. Charmante! Professional service, though kitchen was slow. Excellent menu and specials.Salads extremely fresh, beautifully presented. I had butter lettuce with walnuts, gorgonzola and a lemon vinaigrette. Entrees excellent between boeuf bourguinon, calves liver, filet with Roquefort, and a simple bistro steak. Very reasonable wine list.Souffle available tho we chose the apple tartin tart, with vanilla ice cream - all baked on premises. Superbe! Go. Vite!
