Let me start by saying the food is good...very fresh. But there is no dining experience, no warmth, no intimacy, no energy, no great urge to highly recommend Aida Bistro as a "must go there" restaurant.

that has decided not to provide bread with dinner. When we asked for bread the server said they were trying something different-breadsticks with olive oil for $2.50. The food is good -not great, but the prices are high and then to charge for bread/breadsticks is ridiculous. We had mussels as a starter and I have never been anywhere when bread was not provided as part of the dish to soak up the sauce. We had Pumpkin Ravioli which was fair and Seafood Pasta which was very tasty, more of a thin broth like cioppino. With these brothy dishes you would think bread would be offered or, if not, at least served with a spoon - they were not. With the prices charged, not sure I will return to be gouged for bread which is a given just about everywhere.

This was our first visit since they changed their bread to an even better soft on the inside and crisp on the outside large breadsticks served with EVO and tapenade. Very nice! (Price 3 for $2.50) We chose flash fried and light calamari with banana pepper rings and tomato caprese. Our entries were veal piccata and a special, rockfish. The veal was tender and nicely prepared. The rockfish was very interesting with a cranberry and pistachio risotto that was delicious. We gave only 4 stars because the rockfish was rather dry. However, our very conscientious and helpful waiter checked with us twice to see if my wife wanted something else. She kept it since the healthy rockfish was fresh, mild and tasty, within an acceptable range.

Aida's is one of those places you go and always know it's going to be good. This time was no exception. We took friends from outside the area and they were equally impressed. All the entrees were excellent, well prepared and served hot and on time. Their marinara sauce is unique and delicious. The salmon was a hit as well as the pork. Paired with great wine... it's just consistently good.

Aida's was terrific We had a couple of appetizers (calamari and blue cornmeal fried oysters). My wife enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli with hazelnut cream sauce. My old friend and I had the fresh clams scampi style with fresh linguine. Everything was very tasty. The portion sizes were nice (not too large or small) and the service was excellent.

My sister and I had lunch on a Friday. We arrived a little early before the lunch crowd. We both had Maryland Crab Soup which was very good with a touch of spice. The Rock Shrimp was tender and sweet and the batter of the flash fry was light and puffy. For an entree, we both had the salmon which was very good but a tad on the dry side, perhaps because the lunch portion is smaller. ( I had salmon the previous week and it was perfectly prepared.) Regardless, we had a lovely lunch with plenty of very well prepared food.

We tried AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar on the recommendation of friend's. Lot's of wine to choose from with three different size pour's or a "growler" to take home. Service was outstanding! For a relatively small restaurant we were not rushed. The food was equally outstanding! Absolutely a place to go back to. Location is a little strange. It is in an office park in Columbia, MD.

The food is to die for. The menu always changes so don't expect to eat the same things on your second trip. On the other hand, everything is so good, so take the opportunity to try something different! I was skeptical about the wines being on tap, but we've had some really amazing wines there. The only very small recommendation I would make is they need new/different furniture. The restaurant is beautiful inside but the tables and chairs look like something that should go in the breakfast area of a holiday inn. Sorry. However, everything else is so good, it's can easily be overlooked. Different tables and chairs would really throw this restaurant over the top though.

The restaurant is conveniently located. Definitely a Bistro type restaurant. Different presentations of food. Pricey. I had Malbec wine which was good but I would not say outstanding. All in all, you should atleast visit the restaurant once to form your own opinion. Both my daughters have been there multiple times and love it. The service was very good.

I am a pregnant woman just trying to eat right while enjoying a night out with my husband using the Groupon we purchased. When I tried to ask about certain things on menu, and if I can substitute/change it...The waiter just seemed put off, which felt rude. Just did not like his attitude. That continued the rest of the meal. The food just was not very good, or as good as we had remembered when we had dined there in the past.

Aida Bistro honored our Saturday evening reservation with no issue. We started out with the goat cheese salad and the tomato caprese, both of which were excellent. Our second course offerings were blue cornmeal fried oysters (excellent) and flash fried rock shrimp. Though we've had the shrimp many times before, this time out they were so salty that they were virtually inedible. Not sure how such an error was made, but this was the first time we've ever been disappointed at Aida's. Our main courses were fine-pumpkin ravioli was superb is a little skimpy and the vegetable risotto was excellent as well. Too bad about the salty shrimp as it derailed an otherwise good meal. Boris, our waiter, offered great service.

We had a relaxing and delicious late dinner after an unusually stressful day. It was perfect "Comfort Food" and we were very hungry! Every meal was prepared to perfection: Pasta Primavera, Ravioli and Salmon small entree. The soup of the day, Black Bean Chipotle was fantastic with just the right touch of zing! (I enjoy most Black Bean soups; but, this was extraordinary! I'd love to have that recipe so that I could enjoy it anytime I wished.)

While this is a very popular local restaurant, I've been there 3 times now and have not been impressed with the food and will not be going back. We've ordered various items from the menu, gone on different days of the week and it has been consistently mediocre. The homemade fresh pasta is nothing to write home about and, in fact, you can get better tasting and better textured pasta by buying De Cecco dried pasta from a grocery store. The linguine with fresh clams could have been good if the chef hadn't been so heavy-handed with the lemon juice and salt, which made the broth far too acidic and sharp. They do serve good bread and olive oil to start and have a nice selection of wine, but the menu is just sizzle without the steak.

From the pictures and reviews, I'd wanted to take my wife there for quite sometime. The fact that it's in a business park by work held me back. The people, food, wine list are all excellent! Would be better suited at Inner Harbour or Annapolis instead of a business park (better outdoor scenery), but they have a conference / event room available for the local (business) crowd. Recommended highly - we WILL be going back. Also, they have events that they hold. We're planning to go to one of those. If it's not too busy, ask Mary for a tour. Great concept for the wine on tap!

We really enjoyed Aida's new menu. Some of the old favorites are there, but there are new choices which vary more with what is fresh and local. Overall, the dishes seem to be lighter (less heavy sauces) and the menu is more flexible. Aida remains our favorite Howard County restaurant!

I wanted to give this place another chance at their new location in spite of all the negative reviews. This was one of the first premier restaurants I can remember as a kid. I am 27 now and have eaten in several fantastic restaurants all over the world at this point and for the price this place is not worth it at all. The ambiance out side was obnoxious with this bright fan lights overhead. The food was hit or miss, some dishes were good and some were not at all - or small portion sizes. The reviews don't lie - this place is not worth it anymore.

Lots of great wine! Good timing between each course, no long waits no rushing. Bread with warm olive oil was offered before appetizers, it was delicious. Appetizers were great too. We were disappointed with the main course. My steak was undercooked for my tastes leaning toward medium rare but my wife likes hers that way so she got an extra treat as she got the more raw part. We both felt that my wife's pasta dish needed just a little more cooking time. Even though it was handmade pasta we felt there is a difference between al-dente with a slight resistance in the center and the dish we were served which was harder throughout. She got a new serving which was much better. For dessert we had the mousse, great taste, needed to be chilled more.
