Diner Reviews
  • "Love this wine bar for its wine selections and great food. Had the 3 course prix-fixe for $40 which included 2 appetizers and 1 main entrée. Thoroughly enjoyed the friend oyster lettuce wraps as one of the appetizers. Love discount wine prices on limited glasses of wine during happy hour too! Will return to this place again! Sometimes hard to get to because of location but worth it!"

  • "Requested a quiet corner table but ended up between two other couples. Asked for a "new" wine that was on the list and was told they were out of it. My shrimp scampi was too heavy on the lemon. The appetizer and salad were excellent and the second choice of wine was wonderful."

  • "I hadn't been to Aida's since it moved. When it first opened it was excellent and well priced. Then, over time, the prices went up, the quality of the food went down and I stopped going. I had high hopes for the restaurant at it's "new" locations, but I again found high prices for the quantity of food served and mediocre food. It was okay, but there was no subtlety to it. There was no layering of tastes and flavors. In short, there are many other, better restaurants in Howard County. I'm sorry to report this as I had hoped for more."

  • "Although the service was great with the exception that we had to ask for things twice some times and the atmosphere could have been better since the tables were very close together. I found the food for the price not something to write home about. It was ok, but I don't think I would revisit in the near future."

  • "We dined at Aida on a recent Saturday night. Our table was ready when we arrived and we were seated and greeted promptly. We went with the new, spring Prix Fixe menu. Our starters were the only misstep in an otherwise wonderful meal. The blue cornmeal fried oysters were overwhelmed by bleu cheese; the beets in the beet salad were wonderful, but the dressing on the arugula salad contained horseradish, which I love, but it did not complement the dish in the least. Our second course, salmon flatbread, was wonderful. Our main course was the blackened rockfish over goat cheese risotto, which was culinary perfection and more than made up for the problematic first course offerings. Our server, Boris, was fantastic;our table location, not so great."

  • "I had not been to AIDA Bistro in over a year, and on my return I was not disappointed. From the greeting at the door to the end of the meal, this was a great experience. Our party of six was celebrating a college freshman's accomplishment, and our server could not have been more attentive if she tried. She suggested several items form the menu for two of the guests, and all empty and clean plates were taken back after dinner. Nice round table in the corner for six allowed for great conversation. I had the sausage and peppers dish from the regular menu which had just the right amount of spice to it. This is a very good restaurant with quality food and service making for a memorable evening all around."

  • "Dining at Aida is one word...decadent! Every meal I have had there has been nothing short of outstanding. The staff is just as incredible."

  • "Aida is our "special night out" restaurant, and every time we have dined there, we have had a great meal and a wonderful evening. The waitstaff is friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. The food is imaginative, delicious and beautifully presented. The wines, of course, are always interesting. Try one of their recommended wine flights to find something new for the evening. It can get a little noisy there when the restaurant is full, but in a good way - that's what you expect for a cozy bistro."

  • "I've celebrated special events at AIDA and I've done relationship building business lunches at AIDA. This is my Go-To when I need a one-level-up quality of experience. The chef is imaginative and talented. The food is always high quality and consistent. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I'd definitely recommend!"

  • "Hadn't been to Aida's in several years. This was my first visit to the new location. The new stand alone location is very well appointed. The food was decent, not as good as it was when I frequented Aida's. Worth the drive from the city? Probably not. Worth a visit for +1000 point table. Yep!"

  • "Food and service were excellent. The server was very knowledgable and helpful. He discovered that we had not been there before and took his time explaining both the menu and the wine concept. We did the prix fixe menu and were happily surprised. The portions were great and could have even been a little smaller. Wine list: This is the first time I have seen a "wine on tap" set up. Being in the industry, I had to try it out-even though their bottle prices were very reasonable. 30 wines on tap. I tried 2 different ones and was impressed with the taste and integrity. We will definitely return. Another point to consider.....wine to go. They have growlers of wine for sale to take with you."

  • "Service was fast and friendly. I had the venison and it was wonderful. While the calamari was a bit overcooked (unusual for them) the food was well prepared and presented beautifully."

  • "My second trip here. Went quite late Friday night so the place was winding down. A good time to go if you want to talk.. Overall very good food. Our server was excellent. They have a very large selection of wines by the glass so this is good if you don't want to deal with a whole bottle or if your pals have different tastes."

  • "I made Valentines Day reservations for my girlfriend, her 8 yr old son and myself. My girlfriend called the restaurant to check on a kids menu and had to deal with a snarky attendant who seemed annoyed by questions regarding a kids menu. She said the attendant was rude. When my girlfriend asked another question the attendant said she was putting her on hold but instead disconnected her. While we have enjoyed a number of Valentines Days at the current and previous location I'm afraid that this was the last one that we will be spending at Aida"

  • "I went there with my wife for their valentine's day special. The food was generally very good but my wife's main dish--scallops with red onion sauce and kale--was a strange combination of flavors. We didn't dislike the combo but we didn't love it either. Also, scallops are so rich perhaps butter and pepper is all you really need. The wine was nice. The biggest downside was the ambiance. We were seated at cast iron outdoor tables that had linens over the top and put indoors. They need a much more comfortable Bistro environment, big TV screens on the walls and the make shift dining space was not that romantic or bistro like. That said, I would go there again."

  • "This is the third time I've been to Aida's. I thought it was a good restaurant the first two times I went, but since then, it moved locations and did an amazing upgrade. Everything from the service, to the wine list, to the atmosphere, and especially to the food itself, was I felt, done to perfection. The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful about all aspects of the menu. Each part of the meal, from the appetizer to the main course was excellent. I look forward to our next meal there. In addition, this is a perfect spot for Valentine’s Day later this week and whoever is able to get a table there on this day, can consider themselves to be very fortunate and they’ll definitely have an amazing and romantic dinner."

  • "We enjoyed our meal at Aida very much. Interesting and delicious food and just the right portion size to leave us satisfied and not satiated! Our server was a bit distant, stopping by to ask how everything was but not engaging. He seemed a bit preoccupied, we appreciated the low noise level."

  • "Very impressed with the food and wine here. Bartender made great selections of wine during half price happy hour! Also, thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers including fire shrimp and wild mushroom flatbread! Place can be hard to find on GPS, but worth searching. Enjoyed the food and wine and bartender is very nice and excellent service!"

  • "We went for Restaurant Week even though their RW menu cost more than other restaurants, including highly rated ones in Balt. My husband got the pork belly and the oysters. I got the calamari and scallops. We saw that our dishes were a lot smaller than what other people, who weren't ordering off the RW menu, were getting. By A LOT. An insulting amount smaller. My calamari app had 11 small pieces of calamari and zero banana peppers. My scallops had 2 scallops. We both ordered the seafood pasta entree. Our entrees were smaller by half than what other diners had. We go to RW several times a year and we have never, EVER seen a discrepancy in the size of dishes between what is ordered off the RW menu and what is ordered off the regular menu."

  • "We were looking for a special place to celebrate a family birthday. Since we all enjoy trying new and good wines, AIDA's more than satisfied our needs. Our waiter was knowledgeable about various wines and successfully paired various wines with the food we ordered."

  • "We really enjoyed dining at Aida for RW. We sat in the bar area and it was a nice private table. We love that you can choose to aps and an entree instead of forcing you to get dessert! Only complaint is that the fried oysters were really sandy, I don't think they were cleaned properly. Everything else was fantastic!"

  • "Great atmosphere and service, excellent review of the Menu and wines available by our server. Food and wine- delicious! The Calamari was so tender and sweet and the tarragon sauce was delightful, light and elegant. A little cold in the restaurant, other than that Perfecto!"
