  • "food is little bit salty. All waiters are well trsined"

  • "Four "foodie" friends met here last week to take advantage of Ai Fiori's participation in Restaurant Week and we could not have been more pleased. The place is beautiful, the food superb and the service outstanding! Many times in the RW deal you really do get short shrift on food and service but definitely not here. And our Captain, MichaelAngelo, made our lunch a truly special occasion. Two chose the regular lunch prix fixe at $42 and two went with the RW special menu All of it was amazing and delicious. I started with the most a terrific chilled zucchini soup and then a flavorful composed chicken with a creamy polenta..YUM! Everyone raved about their choices and all finished "tutti bene" with fantastic desserts. We hated to leave!"

  • "I went with friends for lunch during restaurant week and were very pleased to see they had an interesting menu for lunch. I had the zucchini soup, a cold and spicy soup, with great flavor. I chose the razza, the fish in the menu and have to say that it wasn't the best fish I ever had, but it was definitely a solid dish."

  • "Came here for lunch to catch up with my best friend and we had a great time. The Restaurant Week food selection wasn't terribly exciting and didn't taste anything special except for their panna cotta which was to die for! But what made it great aside from the ambience was the service, especially the gentleman who helped us choose the wine. He let us have a little wine tasting and we appreciated his suggestions, patience, and friendliness. Other team members were friendly too. It really shows that everyone there takes pride in their work. I would love an opportunity to dine here again."

  • "Been there twice now. First time five stars across the board-absolutely great. Second time - good food but service was lousy. All four courses were mixed up in delivery. Not a single person at table of 5 received the correct dish for any of four courses."

  • "Enjoyed everything! Very nice ambience, noise level low and great food. The service was very good."

  • "We have eaten here several times, and, as always, a delightful and delicious experience. We consider it one of our favorites"

  • "Michael White must have Italian genes. His pasta is every bit as good as any in Italy....even Emilia Romana."

  • "skate, the main dish, was very disappointing, too salty and oily as were vegetables with it; pate and desert very good; they ran out of bread! excellent service"

  • "This is an amazing restaurant which we stumbled into courtesy of restaurant week. We are already planning to go back. The food is expertly prepared (I had skate), presentation is artistic, seating comfortable, and decor appealing. Although I think it can accommodate hundreds, all tables were full. Spotlessly clean! Very importantly, the service is outstanding (we had Michelangelo). They got it all right!"

  • "Every dish was delicately prepared and delectable. Both Waiter and Sommelier took whatever time we needed to ensure our selections were satisfying."

  • "I went for restaurant week and was not expecting much since I never think restaurant week menus are wonderful. But the food was really good. I think this is a great choice for a business lunch in area where it is difficult to find places to eat with clients."

  • "I visited during NYC restaurant week and ordered from the special prix fix lunch menu. The pate appetizer was nothing remarkable - it is harder than most, and its a bit saltier than I like. The main course was a lot better - the skate wing was seared just right, and the vegetable side tasted very fresh and had excellent flavor. I was especially fond of the chocolate cream dessert. It was very smooth with an abundant of cocoa aroma, and just the right amount of sweetness. All of the dishes were presented beautifully. The wait staff was very attentive. They promptly refilled my glass of water and served more bread. They attended to my empty plates and replaced silverware at the right time. Overall they did a remarkable job."

  • "Delicious, excellent well prepared food. Attentive service in well appointed space. Michael White lives up to his high standards. Chicken was skin crisp with melt in your mouth tenderness. Al dente pasta was very tasty.Squash soup was very refreshing. All the ingredients were first rate."

  • "I had the best meal in recent memory at Ai Fiori. Everything was superb, the food, wine and service. Hats off to the gentleman who paired the perfect dessert wine with my tartaletta as well, making for a lovely experience."

  • "We had lunch during restaurant week and had previously dined here. We were treated the same. The food was excellent as well as the service. Try to get a seat looking out the window over 5th avenue, ie come early! Worth it."

  • "Spectacular food, classy atmosphere. It is perfect for when you're parents come to town."

  • "The food is very good; the ambience is nice with space between tables, quiet music, and acoustics good enough to allow for unstrained conversation. The service was friendly but not accommodating for dietary restrictions. We chose the Sunday buffet. Whoever is in charge should lose the tiny little tweezers they pass off as serving implements on the buffet. The prissy little implements are not only difficult to handle but they shout out the message: "Do not take too much." On a buffet yet! And this place calls itself Italian?"

  • "My husband and I celebrated our First Anniversary at Ai Fiori on a Saturday night. What a find. The restaurant was quite busy, but the atmosphere was still very chic, not overrun and loud. The service was beyond on point. Waiters, managers and all in between were serving, clearing, pouring, and ensuring we had anything we desired from start to finish. But, the best part was the food; exquisitely presented, served and beyond delicious. I would highly recommend Ai Fiori for any celebration or more upscale date night, however you will not be upset with the bill at any time."

  • "We had a lovely meal. This is one of the few fine dining restaurants left. There are tablecloths on the tables and excellent attentive service. Dress is casual or dressy, whichever you prefer. The pasta is excellent but the best dishes are the sweetbreads and the scallops. Excellent bread. Nice wine list. The tables are separated by a nice distance so that you do not have to listen to someone else's conversation. The noise level is low so that you do not have to shout to be heard. We have eaten at Ai Fiore many times over the past few years and continue to return because it is consistently good and actually the food is better than before."

  • "The decor is modern and clean. Our reservation is off-peak lunch hour so the place is quiet and good for conversation."

  • "This is among the most elegant restaurant in NYC and the Italian-French Mediterranean cuisine is phenomenal. This is Michael Whites's best restaurant to date. Everything is perfect -- from the food to the ambience to the wonderful service. In fact, I love this place so much, I got married there last month. Jonna, the restaurant event coordinator, arranged to make the ceremony and dinner perfect. She made this special event so easy to plan. Hey New Yorkers & Visitors, if you want to dine at a special location with deliciously conceived and prepared food, it doesn't get better than this!"

  • "This restaurant never disappoints. The service is outstanding. The food is prepared in interesting ways. The tables are far enough apart that you don't have to listen to the neighboring table conversation. While this is not an inexpensive restaurant, the quality of the food and service is worth it."

  • "Food and atmosphere was very good and provided a comfortable setting and atmosphere. Staff was excellent and well informed about items on menu. Good wine list as well. Recommend highly."

  • "Great meal from start to finish. Rack of lamb en crepinette was simply genius, cooked to perfection. The lamb meat wrapped in the fatty sausage trapped all the flavor and moisture inside and made the meat so juicy and tasty. The olive-oil poached swordfish was also perfectly done, almost like eating a piece of meat. Appetizers and dessert were all excellent. We'll definitely be back next time in the city."

  • "Beautiful spot, quiet, exceptional service. Went for brunch: Food was very good, but did not live up to expectation. Portion was VERY small and buffet was disappointing. I imagine it to be very good for late night dining"

  • "The quality and taste of the food was fantastic. Great menu and wine list. The service was top notch. Location on 5th Avenue near he Empire State Building was an ideal spot. Our main problem with this restaurant were the portion sizes. I've been to many fine restaurants including just having come back from Paris and these were some of the smallest. When considering how much we spent for the meal ($$$$), we expected more. I left the restaurant hungry."
