Our server Chad was very helpful with choosing beverages from their cocktail menu. I had the salty Sicilian - much like a martini - it was great! I also tried another, the Aleutian spritz - very refreshing. The polenta fries are a must as well as the simplistic focaccia bread with olive oil. I enjoyed the Rye Bucatini - light but filling. My boyfriend ordered the bluebird grains emmer rigatoni and it was so tasty! I'll be ordering that upon my next visit.

It was our first time dining at Agrodolce. The antipasti and hand made pasta entrees we ordered were all very good and were also good portions. The house white wine was very nice and our waiter was excellent! Our overall experience was great! We will definitely return.

We came for my girlfriend's birthday and we were impressed, as always, by this Maria Hines spot. The special was an organic Wagyu sirloin from a local farm and it was magnificent. The caramelized broccoli is also just excellent and, as with any good Italian spot, the wine was heavenly. We'll be sure to return soon

During Seattle Restaurant week. Made a reservation and was seated right by the greeter's desk and entry way closest to the door. Every time the door was opened we got a nice cold draft of air. There were better tables available but they chose to seat us there. Service was good and what is expected in that level of dining. We ordered off the 3 course Restaurant Week menu. For starters we had beet salad and a arugula salad. The beet salad was excellent. The arugula salad was mediocre. For mains we had pork on a bed of greens and mussels. The pork lacked flavor however the portion size was good The mussels had good flavor was portion size was small. Desserts were good but nothing special. Ambiance is nice if you get a good table.

These days I am tending to try new restaurants on Monday-Wednesdays as, IMO, crowds and noise take away from the experience. Loved it on a Monday. No big frills, nicely thought through concoctions that were pleasant to the palate. I particularly enjoyed the Beet and Burrata salad. The rigatoni was a little too spicy but a little more cheese made it very enjoyable. My friend was not impressed with her pork dish, she let me try it and I agreed that it seemed a little dry. Service was first-class. I will go back and try other dishes and will likely be on a Monday.

This was my first visit to Agrodolce, though I've been to one of Maria Hines' other restaurants, Tilth, which is sensational. I went during restaurant week so the service was lacking but the food and atmosphere/decor were wonderful. The squash soup was velvety and flavorful - one of my favorite dishes of the evening. I will definitely be back!

A colleague suggested Agrodolce. She and her family enjoyed it (dinner) just a week before I was there. My experience (lunch) was that the food (all courses) was cold, the service was slow, and the food was easily replicable at home. To their credit, they removed my courses from the check, but there is just nothing about this restaurant that would entice me to go back.

We couldn't have asked for better recommendations from our waiter, who really seemed to care whether or not we ended up with a wine that best suited our taste. I had read some yelp reviews about poor service but I tried to not let yelp scare me away- SO glad we came here. The staff made us feel welcome and very comfortable and treated much more like a guest that they enjoyed having in for dinner rather than another mouth to feed for a paycheck. Incredible. Def will be back and strongly recommend to friends.

Greeted by cheerful and friendly staff. Hand-made artisan cocktails were quite tasty. Food was presented beautifully but portions were small. Roasted Beet and Burrata salad had very small beautiful beets but was maybe 2 or 3 bitefuls. Clams and sausage entrée very good but only one small piece of toast to dunk into the delicious broth. Largest portion size saved for the dessert but my spicy gelato came with only a half of a cinnamon pizzelle cookie. Even though I paid only $30 for 3 courses I should not go home hungry.

This was my first time at Agrodolce and I was really looking forward to it. The beautiful space, absolutely marvelous food (the roasted broccolli especially was ambrosia - we ordered a second helping!) and impeccable service was a delight. The pricing of the wine list, however, is utterly shocking. Every single one of the wines listed can be purchased retail for less than 1/2, sometimes less than 1/3, the price listed on the menu. Not sure what's going on here, but surely the business model isn't so faulty as to merit the massive mark up in order to turn a profit?? I enjoy good wine with a good meal but will definitely keep it to by the glass only when I return.

Before arriving for a two week visit to Seattle (we're fairly foodie) we knew that we were supposed to hit at least one restaurant each of Ethan Stoll, Maria Hines and Tom Douglas. This was our Maria Hines pick. Agrodolce is extremely weak considering Hines' reputation. Weekday night; more than half-empty and yet the kitchen and service were excruciatingly slow (but friendly). I mean a degree of slow that you can't imagine in a first class restaurant. Salumi, pasta with sugo-excellent; pasta with clams-VG; antipasto with vegetables that were not al dente but totally unchewable-lousy. We weren't up to trying another Hines restaurant.

While the Service was friendly and timely, the food itself is the reason to avoid this restaurant. Nothing we ate from the appetizers, to the pasta, to the eggplant, to the italian sausage was good. Frankly, the barely edible fare seemed to me to be some sort of juvenile adventure by a high school kid experimenting in mama's kitchen. BTW- don't go there for a glass of wine either since they seem to serve 4oz pours at 9oz prices.I eat out often across a broad price range and italian is my favorite fare. I have a experienced the very good to the very poor and I would rank this as one of the all-time worst food experiences in my brief 50+ years on the planet.

Our entrees were tastie but the menu is rather sparse. The wine list consists almost entirely of $40 and up and individual glasses $10 and up. A draft of excellent beer is $6 for something decidedly less than a pint. All and all it seemed rather precious. Perhaps a niceplace to bring a date but not your mother.

I booked this restaurant for my friend's birthday after seeing it is a part of the Maria Hines restaurant group. We arrived an hour earlier than our reservation and they graciously invited us to a table early. The meal was wonderful- light and substantial. We started with the polenta fries which were a dream with the aioli that comes on the side. Then my friend had the salmon while I had the ricotta ravioli. Both were absolutely delicious and we finished every last bite. We were well attended to and I had made a comment in the reservation about my friends birthday and they remembered without a reminder and brought us a great slice of olive oil cake. Overall- wonderful experience! They even sent us a thank you email after dining with them.

I always like to start with the positives. Three of us went for dinner. We are all seasoned travelers and eaters. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The pace was good. The restaurant was quite pleasant and our table well placed. The vegan/vegetarian menu looked interesting but since we are neither we chose the "regular" menu. We had to ask for explanations for elements on the menu for about half the items. Portions were small which made meal a bit pricey for what we had. The salmon was overcooked and dry. Inexcusable in Seattle. There is a tasting menu which we did not try but which may have been a better option. The restaurant was quite full, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I expect we were in the minority.

We ordered the family style dinner and it was fabulous. The wait staff made a wine recommendation that was lovely with the menu for the evening. Personal preference - I love tomatoes, my husband doesn't and we weren't so enamored of the tomato dessert item. The outdoor seating was not the most comfortable and we had to adjust our table legs so the table didn't wobble with our wine glasses, but the ambiance was wonderful, the meal and service was fantastic. I will definitely plan another evening out for Agrodolce and recommend it to others.

We had the tasting menu tonight. The quality of the food was good though not outstanding. The best dishes were the smoked trout salad and grilled pork loin. The marinara on the pasta lacked zest and the lobster mushroom & einka, while unique, didn't draw any rave reviews. We've had more inspired dishes at other Maria Hines restaurants (Golden Beetle, Tilth). Our server made an excellent recommendation for wine, the Planeta cerasuolo di Vittoria. However, service was rather pokey.

We recently dined at Tilth and loved it. The service at Agrodolce was less than satisfactory. The staff appeared untrained and clueless about what real service meant.
