AgrodolceA true gem!!The food is a triumph!!! I'm a sous chef in Seattle and dining out is something I take very seriously. I was immensely impressed by the food and the standards of service that Agrodolce clearly takes very seriously. I will most definitely be referring this restaurant to everyone I know. Amazing food, service and wines!! Phenomenal experience!!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful, interesting foodWe took our mother to Agrodolce for dinner and had a lovely evening. She does not eat very interesting food most of the time but she really enjoyed her meal. All of us thought that the food was great and it worked for the vegetarians at our table. The fact that the vegetables were organic was another plus. I will definitely go back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely timeThe service is helpful yet discreet; the food is excellent and the ambiance is terrific. I've been there twice and both experiences were very enjoyable.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy Italy in FremontWhat a great place! The food was absolutely fantastic and we truly appreciated the gluten-free and vegan suggestions. We loved the decor with the lovely high ceilings and comfortable dining chairs. The waitress and all of the other servers were courteous, warm and friendly and took the time to answer all of our questions patiently and with great pride in the food.
We came as a group of six and will return over and over again with many combinations of family and friends.
And, WOW, the roasted chicken entree was the best ever! Oh, did I mention the desserts? Everybody should save room for those.
Thank you for a wonderful, wonderful food adventure.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative and friendlyExceptionally imaginative and authentic menu, punctuated by attentive and friendly service.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner outAgrodolce is an extremely pleasant local restaurant with outstanding service and quite good food. We enjoyed the food and sevice to be better than the other Tilth related
eateries. We will add it our list of place to frequent. A gem.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMdelicious. salad and dessertdelicious. salad and dessert outstanding, pasta not quite as satisfying but very good.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMvery good food; choice ofvery good food; choice of multiple size meals, enjoyable experience. want to go again, and again, and again.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFood lived up to expectations,Food lived up to expectations, though it took longer than it should have for entrees to arrive.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprised and satisfied!Enjoyed both the service and the food. The atmosphere is light and airy. The food was well prepared. Advertised as southern Italian, we expected more more red sauce type foods but were delighted to find that the food headed more toward the olive oil type preparations. The pasta dishes were outstanding.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGluten Free OptionsOur waiter was very knowledgeable of GF options. It is a great relief to have a server that is concerned of Celiacs. It is not just a life style but a necessity. Kudos to Agrodolce and staff. And the food was excellent. You can't beat fresh and organic and this place has it all.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAgrodolce is immediately oneAgrodolce is immediately one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle.
Healthy Great tasting italian food with lots of interesting wines to choose from, you could even order them by the glass! Our waiter Oliver was the best, he knew the menu & its ingredients inside out and helped with our foodallergies (also have a gf & vegan menu on the back) Loved the wine list too! Try the broccoli with ansovis vinaigrette & almonds it is the best!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe tried two appetizers, twoWe tried two appetizers, two entrees, two desserts, and all were fabulous. We followed the waiters suggestions and were very pleased.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMloved it!Very great meal! And I really appreciated the different italian wines on the wine list - and included in the by the glass list. Grapes I had never heard of - and very tasty wines. We took foodie friends from out of town and they loved it. It's a really beautiful room as well - a bit loud but so appealing and warm.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe celebrated a dear friendsWe celebrated a dear friends birthday during Restaurant Week and had a wonderful meal. We would definitely come back and noticed the outdoor seating area on our way out and thought a return trip this summer would be great.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMA lovely evening for twoOutstanding service and inventive cocktails. Food was great, but not hugely memorable, save the limoncello sorbet, which was amazing.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was delicious andThe food was delicious and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the service was a little slow. I had an empty drink glass for a while before anyone came by to check in. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and helpful!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOpen and bright dining room.Open and bright dining room. Fun cocktail menu-the Pink Elephant is both refreshing and potent. The bittered greens salad is not bitter at all and has a nice mustard dressing. The roasted chicken was perfectly accompanied by the brussel sprouts caponata. Arancini are very filling and best shared. The limoncello sorbet was a nice ending to the meal. Nice candied lemon and fennel on top. The steamed chocolate cake is dense and rich. All in all, I look forward to coming back for another meal.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAgrodolce is in a wonderfulAgrodolce is in a wonderful open space that use to house the bearable still life cafe and still has a large tree growing in the center of the room, but this time is contained in a pot!
And the food? The food was wonderful! We were lucky enough to be there during restaurant week and so we had a three course lunch of appetizer, main and dessert. My husband had shaved house cured pork loin with fennel, herbs and olive oil. I had tuna fritter which was beautifully presented and large enough for a main course! Our only complaint was that as the room filled, the service got slower and slower and we had to wait a long time between courses whilst others were served around us. (The place was empty when we arrived)4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMSeattle Restaurant week encouragedSeattle Restaurant week encouraged me to give the new restaurant a try. Very much enjoyed my meal there. Inventive and delicious. It was pretty noisy, probably 'cuz it was Restaurant week. The large windows, and light from the north, makes the space glow and feel warm.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMBrea S.Four of us went for lunch. The food was lovely, and the service was gracious. While we weren't necessarily pressed for time, lunch did take 2 solid hours.
Should you try it? Yes. Absolutely. Just give yourself plenty of time. And good company to chat to. You'll be there for a while.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were greeted by a veryWe were greeted by a very engaging, warm server that had a wide knowledge base of both the food and wine. The creativity of the food was excellent, especially the mixed to tastes around the "core" item -- regardless of whether it was fish, fowl or vegetarian -- which our foursome covered all. It was a most enjoyable time that lives up to Ms. Hines other resturants. Highly recommended.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe made it our mission toWe made it our mission to try as many new restaurants as we can during Restaurant Week in Seattle. My family had been to 4 restaurants before we went to Agrodoce, and even though I have tried most of Maria Hines' restaurants and knew them to be really good, I was not ready for the sublime meal we had. The menu for Restaurant Week, was well crafted, not an afterthought like so many other places.
The food was not only beautifully crafted, but showcased the finest offerings of the season without being fussy. We were in heaven!
Our server was lovely, she was attentive without being overbearing. We left the restaurant gushing compliments, we will most definitely
return to Agrodolce!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic food! Great service!Fantastic food! Great service! Pretty noisy as it was full. (as it should be) I'm definitely going back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAuthentic SicilianThe brunch was great. Food was out of the ordinary & very good. I had the fried, boiled eggs with spinach & pesto. Remarkable!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMReliably delightfulMy husband, adult son, and son's girlfriend ate there for brunch, and all aspects of the experience were fantastic. Every course brought taste surprises, and all items were cooked and displayed wonderfully. We all agreed that we had to return. Then last week when my husband and I arrived for an early weeknight dinner, there sat my son and his girlfriend! Servers helpfully arranged for us all to share a table, and this meal was at least as fun as our brunch. Inventive and beautiful cocktails, too.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMRelaxed ambiance, simple deliciousRelaxed ambiance, simple delicious dishes with top quality ingredients. Attentive and friendly service. The sicilian inspiration is just right - blood oranges, pistachios, bitters. We had the Seattle Restaurant Week $28 menu and are planning to return to taste items from the full menu.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was fantastic. TheThe food was fantastic. The spring onion soup was divine. The housemase spaghetti was perfectly cooked and the sign was well seasoned. The highlight of the meal was the chocolate cake with mint chantilly cream.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh quality ingredients andHigh quality ingredients and food, nice setting, very pleasant. The bitter greens salad was wonderful, love the touch of mint in it, although a little bit more nuts would be optimal. The spaghetti con sugo was very good, cooked just right. The sauce could use a bit more something to push it over the top, and slightly bigger pieces of meat. The steamed chocolate cake was delicious. One thing I really appreciated was that I felt pretty healthful after this meal (I took the cake to go and ate it later.). Bread is not automatically served (it's extra) which contributed to this aspect of the meal!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAs the restaurant filled,As the restaurant filled, it became so noisy it was hard to hold a conversation. Taking measures to muffle the noise, or at least provide a quieter area would be good for customers.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find in FremontSuperlative blending of tastes in every food choice we had. Great night out.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMMaria Hines's new joint doesn'tMaria Hines's new joint doesn't disappoint. My husband had the spring onion soup, which was absolutely fantastic! We both had fried rice pudding balls with citrus honey gastrique and caramel honey dipping sauce. Now tell me that isn't something different to try - and it was SO good! We'll definitely be back.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMNew Favorite Brunch Spot!A wonderful spot for a delicious Saturday/Sunday brunch. The freshly squeezed on the spot oranges were a combination of blood and navel and created a delicious concoction of goodness. I enjoyed a solid sticky bun and two perfectly poached eggs. My husband enjoyed the fried egg boiled eggs, spinach salad tossed with bacon and & lemon vinaigrette. Our only critique was that by the time he got to the second soft boiled egg, the yolk was no longer runny. Overall, a definite place to return.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visitThis was our second visit and it was another wonderful experience. The food is interesting, innovative, and absolutely delicious, and the staff is courteous, friendly, and professional. On both our visits to Agrodolce we were celebrating birthdays, and on both occasions we we not charged for our dessert (which came with a candle both times). Already planning our next visit when we have family in from out of town.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe beet salad was to dieThe beet salad was to die for. Many vegetarian options. The service as the best I've had in years.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent array of tastesExcellent array of tastes and textures. Wonderful dinner Will definitely go back.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service and theExcellent service and the food was very good. I would highly recommend you try it.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter than most anything in SicilyMaria Hines has done it again. We love Golden Beetle and so wanted to give this a try and well worth it. Top notch quality and cooked to perfection (particularly the Tuna). While advertised as southern Italian (sicliana) it only has a few things that reminded me of the many meals I have had there over the past 15 years of visits. But, this is no complaint; the "accenno di Sicilia" along with the quality of ingredients and superb preparation out did almost everything I had in Sicily. The very loud acoustics is the only minor draw back. I have already recommended the place to a couple of other friends.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy brunchHave visited Agrodolce before and enjoyed dinner there. This was the first time we tried brunch. It was a great experience. We shared a few different dishes . . . the bacon (very tasty!), pancakes (our least favorite of those ordered), mason's sticky buns (excellent !), bitter greens salad (a great, refreshing item for a brunch menu), and the "fried, soft boiled eggs" which were incredible. These could become a signature dish ! If you want a nice, sweet nibble, highly recommend the rice pudding fritters (with a yummy caramel sauce) . While the drink menu was impressive, we stuck the basics (which were perfect . . . fresh squeezed OJ and brewed coffee.).
Now, we need to try lunch sometime.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFood arrived right from theFood arrived right from the stove. All of the various ingredients and spices in each dish were distinct and recognizable. The flavor. Combinations were subtle yet sublime! Street parking very difficult. The noise level made conversation uncomfortable.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent, excellent food!Excellent, excellent food! So great. We had four different dishes and 3 appetizers, all were great! I would recommend Agro Dolce to ANY person coming to Seattle.
