We arrived on time for our reservation, but our table had been given away. We waited while that group was reluctantly reseated. They never even bothered to wipe the table off. We waited about 20 minutes for someone to take a drink order and another 15 minutes for the drinks to come. We ordered 3 starters and 4 main dishes and as we have had experience with tapas style meals, we specified which dishes were to be served first. Three of the mains and the three starters were served at the same time. When we told the waiter that we had asked for the small dishes first we were told that "that's how they did it." The other three in my party had already finished their food when my meal finally appeared at the table, everyone else had long finished.

The food was good but hardly ample. The chicken dish came with just that...chicken. While the flavor was good they could add a dimension with a vegetable. (I also do not like chicken with the leg attached.) They did not offer bread but brought it upon request. We won't go back. I'm sorry for the lovely server.

I've gone to Agiato twice, and twice I have walked away supremely happy with everything. From the menu selection and reasonable pricing, to the delicious and well-sized portions, and the wines-on-draft, Agiato is a great little gem to have in the Manayunk neighborhood.

Agiato is one of my favorite restaurants in Manayunk. They update their meat, cheeses, wines, and other dishes frequently. The food is great. Always have had wonderful service. On one visit it took a bit for our food to come out, our server comped ALL of our drinks! Agiato is a great place!

We went here when it first opened and loved it. It was connected to a bakery of the same name and they served the best bread with the cheese course. It's gone! and has been for months. What happened to the bakery. The Main Street Market (affiliated with the restaurant doesn't carry it either. That said, I had the trecce and asparagus pasta and it was wonderful. My husband had the duck and it was a little under cooked. Surprising for duck. And what's with all the paninis. Looks like that is what this restaurant caters too. Saw lots of paninis going out to diners. While I miss the old menu, I am guessing paninis are their niche. Just not mine.

Been to Agiato many times for dinner and each time liking the experience less and less. This last time we noticed the food portions were much smaller than previous visits. We ordered a cheese and charcuterie plate and got 1/2 of what we've previously gotten in portions (it was tiny for $36!). We ordered the lamb and it came out with only ONE tiny lamb chop. The food itself was tasty, and service was pretty attentive. But kitchen was slow and tiny portions don't justify the cost. Probably won't be coming back for dinner anymore.

In the past I have always found Agiato fabulous. This time my frisee duck confit salad that I have enjoyed before, arrived as a tired wilted mound. The confit was almost inedibly salty. The cherries alleviated the salt assault but when I bit into one of them my teeth crunched down a pit. There did not seem to be any dressing on the salad (it was supposed to have cherry balsalmic), so the only good flavor was the cherries. On a good note, the bartender made very good martinis and the server was very sweet and attentive. I did not ask my companions how their food was, but since they did not remark on it, I assume that their meals were at best OK, not great.

We were looking for something new from our same-old, same-old haunts. We saw very positive reviews of Agiato and decided to give it a try. What a wonderful experience! Starters: Calabrian olives and a mixed greens salad with pancetta, tomato and asiago dressed with a roasted garlic and shallot vinaigrette. Delicious;perfectly dressed. For main my husband had duck with brussed sprouts and I has the pasta bolognese. Both were excellent. The wine list is creative and interesting. Great that for a couple of dollars you can try various wines and then order different ounce glasses in addition to bottles. Wait service attentive and personable; not intrusive. Menu reasonably priced. Will definitely return and would recommend to our friends.

I have been to this restaurant several times and always enjoyed the food. Mostly have had salads and paninis. This time I ordered a pasta that was practically in edible. It was like eating a plate of raw garlic and scallions. There was absolutely no flavor to the supposedly light pasta that the waitress recommended. My mouth was on fire and tasting like garlic for hours afterward, and not a in good way. Also, the wine list for whites was very limited and considering it was a very hot night, I had wanted a cool, crisp refreshing white like a Pino Grigio, which they didn't have. The wine came out not chilled enough, and I actually had to add ice to it to make it cool enough to drink. Very disappointing experience and I won't go back.

We dined for a late lunch on a Saturday. The weather was gorgeous so the windows were open to the street-very nice. The food was very good. Some notables: Eggplant appetizer, selection of cured meats; veal entree w/ polenta, filet. The pasta dishes were also very good but they were served room temperature and not hot -- odd. They were also out of some dishes (both cheeses and fish) which was surprising since it was 5pm on a Saturday afternoon/evening. The desserts were delicious. I'm not a fan of their seating. They have a couple of large (community style) tables which is where we sat for a party of 4. The chairs are also not comfortable. All in all, I did enjoy the quality of the food and service, but am not sure I'll go back.

This place is a gem. Came here this visit with my parents and daughter- we made an early meal of it because of the kid, so pretty much had the place to ourselves, so they treated us with top-notch service. The service was excellent the one other time I came at a busy hour too. We are foodies who have eaten all over the world. My father was excited about the beer list, and the food was fresh and delicious

Agiato offers a terrific balance between food and atmosphere - give customers both! The spinach and walnut salad had me thinking I could make a meal of just that, then the homemade pasta with crab became a meal by itself, too. Mix in the alfresco dining in the gentle mid-week bustle of Manayunk, and you have a place you really ought to try because you will want to come back. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff completed the experience.

Food was skimpy, small antipasto's, small entrees. The quality of the meat was good, but not enough of it. We left the restaurant hungry. We had to ask for bread. When it came out it was only 5 small slices of a sour dough bread, not enough for the whole table. It was expensive for what we had eaten. This was anything but an Italian restaurant. Very hard to park. Not enough vegetables for a side. Improve your side dishes, offer more variety and offer enough. The sizes of the meat were o.k.. It was cooked the way we asked for. Only 1 fish entree offered on the menu. Fish is a healthy food, why not offer a second item like fillet of sole stuffed with a real crabmeat stuffing, not that phony stuffing.

Thank you for the unexpectedly delicious pasta. I don't recall the name of the item but it was a twisted pasta in a wine sauce with vegetables. What I loved were the mushrooms and fiddlestick ferns. I chose the dish because of atypical, ingredients, such as fiddlestick ferns. And it was delicious. I will definitely return.

Food was great - service was great, but they seem to be impacted by a slow kitchen night with erratic food delivery of the same type - for example - two slads at the same time and another one and olives 15 minutes later. Also - the sound system had to much base and the music didn't fit the restaurant.

Food was ok, not bad but certainly not memorable. The cheeses we selected were surprisingly bland. My GF's lamb chops were cooked correctly, but had little flavor. The scallops I had were good, but as this is a "small plate" kind of place the two scallops on a bed of greens with a scattering of blood oranges for $18 seems like an appetizer at entree prices.

We recently dined at Agiato for the second time within a month. The second time, the food and drink were still great but the service was decidedly sub-par. The hostess gave us menus, but no wine list or beer & spirits list --which are essential for this place. No sign of our waitress, but a helper soon came offer us water, so we asked her for the lists. She said she would ask our waitress. How difficult would it have been for her to just bring us the lists? Our waitress didn't appear for at least ten minutes. We asked her for the lists, but she didn't bring them for another five minutes. The place wasn't very busy. Poor service marred what should have been a second great experience.
