  • "Everything from the guacamole to the blackened red snapper to the quinoa salad was phenomenal."

  • "The ahi tuna tartar is amazing!! The ambiance was warm and cozy, while the service was good. We always make a trip to Agave when we are in NYC and are never dissapointed."

  • "Had a great brunch this past weekend at Agave! Was my first time there so made a reservation for two and my table was ready when I arrived! My friend and I both chose the prix fixe option: he got the eggs benedict and I went with the omelette. Food was delicious (and plentiful) and the drinks (mimosas, wine, margaritas) were bottomless. Josh, our server, was very fun/personable and definitely kept our glasses filled. We left around 1:30 and the place was buzzing, so I'd recommend shooting for an earlier seating. I'll be back!"

  • "The food and the service were excellent. They have great happy hour specials."

  • "They would not give us the happy choices at 5:30 because we wanted a table. It was a reunion and we wanted to talk and we were literally 4 ft from the bar!"

  • "Agave is the perfect place to bring a friend visiting the city. The service is always friendly and helpful, the margaritas are perfect for unwinding on a summer evening."

  • "Good for people watching We sat outside so traffic noise was loud as was the bar. But great otherwise"

  • "Another Great Experience at Agave! Bottomless Brunch is Awesome"

  • "We had the Prix Fixe brunch and all I can say is that it was perfect. The service was amazing, the food was great, and the margaritas did not stop flowing!!!"

  • "It's hard to find good Mexican food in NYC, but this should be on your list. The service was excellent (Eric was our server), we didn't feel rushed and the food came out tasty and hot. The guacamole is more on the creamy side versus spicy, but we enjoyed it as prepared. The wait staff quickly refreshed our chips when they saw we were low but still had more sauce. The host was friendly and greeted us again when we were leaving. The fajitas were especially good but the squash blossom tacos were a bit on the bland side. All in all, a great evening and as locals we will return again."

  • "I've been to Agave many times, and it's one of my favorite restaurants. However, this visit I received horrible customer service. We waited about 20 minutes for a waiter, and only got one after approaching the host. Once our waiter, Ricky M, finally arrived at our table, he was rude and impersonal, and offered no apology for our wait. We requested chips and salsa, and did not receive them until after we got our entrees and asked a bus boy for them. Our waiter had no check ins or follow through, and seemed put out that he had to wait on us. If I return to Agave, I will request that I don't have Ricky M as a waitperson. I was so disappointed with my last experience at the restaurant."

  • "Good Southwest/Tex/Mex food, good flavors, flavorful food, moderately priced. Drinks small and expensive."

  • "Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch. Gets very crowded starting around 12:30 but luckily made a reservation and had a great 2 hour dining experience with a choice of breakfast entree along with a choice of unlimited mimosas, frozen margaritas, or wine. The food was amazing and our waitress gave us great service, always being around to refill our drinks. Would definitely recommend!"

  • "I took my friends here for their first bottomless brunch experience. We were blown away at how fast our adult beverges were refilled (we didn't even have to ask)! The food was delicious, especially the guacamole & southwestern burrito. Considering the quantity/quality of food and drink we received, Agave has an awesome deal for lunch ($27 and some change for each person)! Planning another visit there soon."

  • "Agave has excellent brunch with pre-fixed meal menus including bottomless mimosas/Margheritas for 2 hours ending at 4. Just try to see a reservation to guarantee seating. It gets busy!"

  • "Had a terrific meal with friends here. Highlights include the guacamole, empanaditas and drinks. Will definitely go back"

  • "Googled places in the area for reasonably priced easy lunch. Looking for something a bit more interesting than the ususal fare. Delicious quinoa salad and quacamole. Friends had crab and shrimp sand. also delicious. Perfect service. Would absolutely return when in the area."

  • "There should be a note that brunch is cut off at 4pm. Our reservation was made for 230 but no one told us the 2 hour maximum stopped at 4pm -- we were only a lotted 1.5 hours"

  • "Bottomless brunch was fantastic! Ordered the lobster benedict which I'm sure is great most of the time but unfortunately the eggs were well done. The mimosas were great and kept flowing like water. Waitress really attentive to our drinks being full. We ordered and food came out within 15min. For a bottomless 2 hr brunch, I didn't need anymore drinks after an hour. It can get really loud but great if you're part of one of the groups there :)"

  • "I went here and only bad thing I can say is the food is bland and highly average. The guacamole was not tasty (not hard to make!), the fish tacos were bland, the side of beans and rice was also bland. The tequilla flight was good and a pineapple tequila drink was tasty. Go to the bar enjoy a drink and forgive the bad guac and salsa."

  • "Agave has a great brunch deal, with 2-hour unlimited brunch drinks (house wine, mimosa, or margarita) with any egg entree. We wished that non-egg options were part of the deal, but there was good variety in egg options. The lobster Benedict was great. Our server was very attentive, refilling and replenishing drinks during our meal. Overall, wonderful experience."

  • "What an amazing atmosphere. Perfect in every way. Delicious food, incredible service, allowing an extra party member to show up an our later with no attitude, the margaritas absolutely delicious!! Just wonderful!"

  • "I definitely loved my waitress Bridgette. I had such a crazy morning at brunch with my two friends. We opted to sit outside which was extremely HOT however with unlimited frozen margaritas and mimosas, I got over it! My friends enjoyed their food as did I under I realized that there was pork in my beans. I asked them not to put pork in the dish so I understand that it was already annoying to ask for a substitution however I did not understand the cooks attitude. They made a new one and instead of the pork being in the beans, it was not in the eggs. I was furious. They had to remake it AGAIN and finally made it right. We even got us a round of shots on the house! Great save! Food was delicious but the cooks attitude makes me rate them a 3!"

  • "It was FREEZING inside the restaurant which made for awful ambiance. Also the portions are too small for the price."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "The food is always delicious, duck tacos, crab empanada, and of course delicious melted cheese fundido. Drinks are great, service can be distracted but efficient. Inside it gets VERY loud at peak times. Other than that, a fine choice, especially if you get one of the few outdoor tables."
    Dined on 6/17/2014
  • "I enjoyed every minute of this brunch! $27.95 a person for 2-hours unlimited maragritas and an entree. The food was delicious and the margaritas were even better. I will definitely be returning to Agave for brunch very soon."

  • "Had a friend refer me to Agave told me food was great and the service was excellent... Well let me tell you far from it, get there get seated and waited about 15 minutes for anyone to come and even ask me if i wanted a drink. Once i did get my drink we ordered appetizers and waited to order main course after twenty minutes of waiting decided to go inside where i find my waiter eating and very relaxed.. Now me as a business owner if you are going to give your staff a break at least have some back up for them!! Never will i go back or recommend.!"

  • "I had a 2pm reservation for brunch with my friends on Sunday 6/1/14. We sat at 2:45. The host was apologetic and noted that they would honor our two hours (AYCD ends at 4pm). However, we had to remind our waiter that we had that, and, after a 45 minute wait, we weren't comped the way I thought we should be (free chips at least?). I love this spot and go here as often as possible, but this experience was a little upsetting. "

  • "Food was good, but the service was absolutely horrible! What made it worse was the fact that the restaurant was not busy at all, the waiter was just completely inattentive."

  • "Boozy brunch at it's finest. Great value. Frozen margarita's are a real winner!"

  • "Came here for my boyfriend's birthday brunch and found it to be lovely. I would definitely return. The chips and guacamole were very fresh, and everyone in my party was generally pleased with their meals. I got the lobster benedict, which was decent. The lobster was just a tad dry, and I wouldn't say the portion of lobster was particularly generous, especially considering that it was a $4 up charge. I would try something else on the menu next time. We all opted for the bottomless margarita option, which is a fantastic deal. The frozen margaritas were super tasty-- the perfect blend of sweet and tart, and they were definitely strong. Our waiter was perfectly attentive, always ready to refill our drinks but without hovering. "

  • "Nice menu-excellent service. Great food. I would come back for the grilled chicken and rissotto."
    Dined on 5/22/2014
  • "They have a really great drink selection with marg options, and other tequila mixed drinks. I wasn't very impressed with the food. The guac wasn't as flavorful as I like, it doesn't seem like they make their own chips (seemed store bought), the fish tacos were only ok. We did really love the fried calamari. Best thing we ate."

  • "The food was pretty good but not great. The service was very good. We were way too old, as the bar and restaurant on that warm Saturday evening were filled primarily with 20 somethings on the make. Appropriately they placed us as far away from the action as possible, right next to the exit door, in the absolute furthest corner of the dining room. The restaurant was empty when we were seated, and we had reservations, so my conclusion is that it was a conscious decision to place us in a remote corner, out of view. In fact, when we asked to move we were denied. Probably won't return."

  • "Took my girlfriend here because it was so close to Small's Jazz Club around the corner. The bar scene is kind of noisy on a Saturday night, but the restaurant itself is like another world. Quiet, classy, excellent food."

  • "My wife and I were excited to be in NYC to try out the "boozy brunch" scene that we hear so much about. A quick internet search led us to Agave, as the reviews were awesome. We were not disappointed one bit. The food was tasty and the booze were flowing. A few times we were left with empty glasses, but we tend to drink very quickly, so it was not a big deal. We are definitely going back on our next trip to NYC!"

  • "Food/Beverage: Get: guacamole, shepherd's pie, margarita (a pitcher!) Don't Get: fajita (beef was very bland), sangria (unbalanced flavor) Staff responded to needs well, but it took forever and a lot of persistence to hail them down. Ambience is great. Soft dim lighting. Really like the cavern-like styling of the dining area. The bar is packed and thankfully separated from the dining area. People generally are on the classier end of the spectrum. Great place to eat/drink with your less obnoxious friends or on a date. "
