I especially enjoyed the Quinoa salad with string beans and mandarins orange segments. The tacos are a must. I went for the fish. Drinks are interesting but expensive at 12-14. If you are seated in the solarium, it can be uncomfortable depending on whether the air is on. Our waiter had a language barrier so I ended up asking questions to the other wait staff. We had a reservation and were seated rather quickly even though a few people had not arrived. We were brought into a private room in back with an ipod docking station where we could play our own music which was very cool. Our waitress came in shortly after we got settled in and was very attentive through our meal. The drinks were unusual and typical in price for that area of Manhattan. The guacamole, calamari and chicken empanadas are all a must try. I had the shrimp tacos which were loaded with shrimp, at least 3 big ones in each taco if not more. Several people had the shrimp and crab cakes which they said were great. We were all extremely satisfied with the food and service and all of us agreed that we will return to Agave at some point in the future. Along with our mimosas, we started with the guacamole, which was very good. I had the Sunrise Fiesta Burrito, which was very tasty. One of my friends had the Santa Fe Caesar Salad with chicken and claimed it was one of the best caesar salads she'd ever had. My other friend had the Poached Eggs on Toasted Brioche with smoked salmon, which she loved. Overall, Agave was a great deal and I look forward to my next visit.2/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
