  • " This was the first time we made reservations via your website, and it worked fairly well. Our reservations were early (5:00 pm), and though the restaurant was nearly empty, the hostess tried to seat us one table away from a party of 22 people. Their conversation level was, understandably, a little loud, and because we like to talk to each other, we asked the hostess for a different table. She seemed less than enthusiastic, but reluctantly moved us a further three tables away from "the group". Her apparent attitude was the one small blemish on an otherwise excellent dining experience ("Tina" did an excellent job!). In the future, we shall reserve a specific table."

Beautiful presentation off food, great cocktails, quiet atmosphere. Clean and welcoming. We felt we were in our own little world. We will definitely return."

  • "We are "regular" customers. Happy to see, on a Thursday night, a good number of patrons. The special for the evening was outstanding, the Wellington, though the beef seemed of a lesser grade than expected/usual, and was two pieces rather than one. All in all, we are pleased, as always, at the friendliness and guality of staff. On your item 2, above, there has to be a re-write: the list just doesn't fit this restaurant. "

  • "we arrived very near to our reserved time...were seated within a minute. We advised our waitress that we were hoping to get to the Rob Thomas concert on time & were ready to order right away. Food was served quickly & was delicious. Our waitress seemed very aware of our time schedule & got us out the door on time. The food & service were truly outstanding, as was the concert. "

  • "I had the Salmon on a Cedar Plank. Half of the salmon was overcooked. My husband had the Pork Tenderloin and it was also dry. The side dishes were completely inappropriate. Two starches as the sides is a very poor choice. The sweet potato purée was very tasty. We both enjoyed it. But, based on the overall meal, we were very disappointed. We have eaten at The Agave many times. There was a noticeable decline in the quality, taste nd value of our dinners. Another disappointment was that the special 2 for $30.00 was sold out. We ordered at 6:45pm and neither of the selections featured were available. And, the only alternative was to order from the regular menu. No substitutions. The nicest part of our meal was the server."

  • "We were celebrating a special occasion. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our waitperson was very courteous and knowledgeable. Our appetizer arrived soon after we ordered it. The rolls were delicious. Our meals arrived in a timely fashion and were delicious as well. Our water and drinks were filled frequently. Our experience was without question a memorable one."

  • "We've touted this restaurant to our friends so they joined us this trip, only to be disappointed. They weren't that busy, but it took a very long time to get the salads and appetizer, followed by another very long wait for the entrees. Unfortunately the vegetables and potatoes (white and sweet) were both cold. First the waiter just wanted to bring us fresh vegetables. Then the manager just wanted to bring fresh potatoes where we finally insisted on them redoing the entire plates. Every other restaurant not only apologizes but offers a free dessert or free glass of wine for the poor performance on the entrees. Not this restaurant. Noticed a new manager, she needs some customer service training. Probably will be awhile before we return."

  • "Unfortunately one can not compare the quality of the food with a chef of previous years. I had ordered fish and chips The french fries were done just right but the fish was soggy with oil. We love the restaurant for the the service and the the ability to have relaxing visits with our friends. Please improve the quality of the food preparation We would like to return. Sunshine."

  • "I made a reservation for 6:15 for dinner on an event night. I was told they overbooked and would I change to 6:30. When I arrived, I was informed that I was #7 and would have to wait. There were empty tables, yet we weren't seated until 6:50 with tickets for a concert that started at 8:00. Never again will I inhale a $21 prime rib before a show. This was the 2nd time this happened and it will be the last."

  • "Mad a 6:30 reservation so we could attend an 8:00 concert. Our 6:30 reservation was not ready until 6:40. The food arrived at 7:40. The noise level was unbearable, I needed earplugs. We made the concert on time, but was not in enough time to spend time at the vendors for purchases. Food was ok not great."

  • "Confusion regarding reward points...Our bill was somewhere around 35.00 I gave her my players card I totaled the tip looking at the 35.00 however after my reward points were taken off our total only came to 10.00 so the waitress (who was good) ended up with $25.00 tip. Didn't realize it until the next day after reviewing my receipt. I guess I should have looked at the bill closer however someone should have pointed out the obvious mistake."

  • "Agave is always a very pleasant dining experience. House wines are reasonably priced but otherwise the wine list is limited. Three at our table ordered the prime rib special that was delived to varying doneness specifications and was excellent. The fourth diner had an excellent cod dish (the waitress candidly advised against the swordfish as being dry). The strawberry shortcake dessert (part of the special) was a desert treat."

  • "My son and I took my daughter to Agave to celebrate her 21st birthday so that (1) she could enjoy her first (legal) margarita with her mom and bro and (2) her bro wanted to teach her how to play blackjack. It was nice that we could do both things in the same location! Our server was excellent; the wait for our food was inordinately long, but you were busy, and the food was tasty. The piece of cake with candle was a great touch and much appreciated. Although we are all now over 21, we will return. I have taken family/friends to the Agave previously and all have always enjoyed their dinners."

  • "We had a. Long walk from the parking lot to the restaurant that was difficult as we'd had our daughter from Montana with us who is recovering from cancer treatment in Phoenix. How does one schedule a ride from the parking lot to the restaurant? It was a family get together for her and her brothers from Minnesota. We waited over an hour for our food and her oxygen tank was failing and we had the wrong cord for recharging it. We told our waitress twice of our predicament and ended up boxing our meal and getting a shuttle ride back to our car. Our outing was expensive and a failure as the food doesn't taste as good the next day. I inquired at the desk about the shuttle ride going back twhen I saw one arrive with another group."

  • "We frequently choose the Agave for meeting friends for a good dinner. The menu is varied so everyone has great choices. One had fish, 2 had prime rib, another had lamb chops, etc. The chicken tortilla soup was excellent, as always, and the salad. (Which I did not order) was beautifully plated and looked very tasty. The service was quite good, not intrusive, and the server was attentive."

Beware that if you plan to take advantage of their specials, you not only must have their casino card and a picture id, but the casino card must be one of their new ones. We had scurried around and found our old ones, but no special for us."

  • "We had a super meal. Great fun; great service and great food. Only problem was the bill was not correct but we didn't know till we got home. A friend from New Jersey was with us and he paid the whole bill. We all came for the $19 special prime rib dinner. We were charged $24 and didn't realize it. Our friend added a nice tip on the bill only to find out later an automatic tip was added so he double tipped. There were 7 of us so it cost him an extra $100......OUCH."
