  • "My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal. The restaurant was not highly busy as it was a Sunday evening. The host made a point of seating us and others at distance rather than right next to each other, which provided for some space and privacy. The service was excellent, with a good explanation of the dishes. The food was top notch. I had Pickerel and it was not overcooked but had the ideal texture. My wife had beef tenderloin and, once again, the cut and cooking were perfect! I've already recommended it to friends and would not hesitate to return."

  • "My husband and I ate dinner at AG on Friday November 14th and it was fantastic. Every dish is a feast for the senses and the wine pairings truly heightened the experience. I have long wanted to try the AG,having read all of the positive reviews and I can tell you they don't lie. I had the Field to Fork menu while my husband had the duck breast appetizer and the signature beef tenderloin. The poached pear dessert and the pumpkin creme brulee were exquisite. All of our dishes were cooked to perfection! I highly recommend this fine dining experience - it surpasses many of the fine meals we have had at Michelin rated restaurants in Toronto. I look forward to our next visit!"

  • "AG is a spectacular restaurant with the feeling of being in Toronto. The service was excellent. Darrin, Maureen and Kelly were very attentive and we wanted for nothing. The Niagara featured wine list showcased all that we have to offer. The menu is farm to table and the Chef created complex dishes with a feel of comfort. Everything is fantastic about AG and I encourage everybody to go its a great find. I wish we would have gone sooner but now we won't stay away. Take the time and try something different and trendy. You will have a great experience while being entertained with a cool jazz band."

  • "AG stands for "silver" on the periodic table. And since they're part of Sterling Inn and Spa, it makes sense. But I would give this whole dining experience a gold medal, not a silver, if we could, especially in comparison to the other restaurants around. We took my mom here to celebrate her birthday, and everything was awesome! Friendly staff, amazing food, and overall the best dining experience in Niagara. Plus, for the prices you get so much more here than what you get in the rest of town. They serve farm to table using only the best seasonal ingredients. And although it's fit for a formal dining experience, they still let us in wearing our casual clothes. A great night and I will definitely return when I'm in the area again!"

  • "the décor is the first impression of WOW! It's beautiful and romantic. Then the service is exceptional. The restaurant starts you off with a treat from the kitchen and amazing cranberry raisin bread. The menu is small but gives enough choice. Try the Beef Tenderloin its their signature dish and its wonderful. If you have room the cheesecake (for sharing) was delicious. I suggest a nice long walk to the Falls. Very romantic you won't be disappointed with this choice in dining establishments."

  • "Farm to table with unique menu selections. Waitstaff was thorough in explaining what was served. Chef paid attention to flavors and presentation. Wednesday was half price on a bottle of wine and we did go with the staff recommendation. I am glad we did, as the wine delivered as described-cherry undertones but not sweet. This was a local winery item with a charming history. We also ordered deserts, which were phenomenal. Food was reasonably priced for an upscale dining experience. Oh, and we received a surprise of an oyster if a half shell after we ordered. It was amazing. This spoken by someone who has always avoided oysters. We will be back to enjoy the ambiance of white linen dining, jazzy music, and warm lighting."

  • "We started out splitting the smoked scallop appetizer which was excellent. The entrees were equally impressive - the halibut which was perfectly cooked and the duck with a smoked eggplant puree which was amazing. After the entree, neither one of us was still hungry, but as delicious as the meal was, we had to try a dessert. Again we were thrilled with the semifreddo. It was one of the best complete meals that I have ever had. If six stars was an option I would have given it a six. Our server was also great, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without being overbearing."

  • "My husband and I love to try restaurants that focus on local sourcing and fresh, organic ingredients. So when we were planning a trip to Niagara Falls, the AG came on to my radar early. I got emailed the restaurant to ensure that we could accommodate my milk protein allergy, and I received an email from the executive chef very quickly to confirm that this was entirely possible. So I booked the reservation. Despite our late arrival (20 minutes, due to miscalculations on our part of the local bus system), they were flexible and able to sit us anyway. The wait staff were excellent and very helpful in making dairy-free selections for the appetizer and entree. Both of our selections were incredible. Excellent choice, great experience!"

  • "If you are looking for a hungryman dinner this is not the place for you. The portions are not overly large but just big enough for the normal appetite. The service is professional and attentive and the menu creations are creative. The ambiance is a little dark since the restaurant is in the basement of the inn and spa but is very well done and comfortable. Both the Victory Leaves and Summer Watermelon Salad we very tasty and fresh appetizers. The entrees of Red deer(AKA venison) and lamb sirloin were very well prepared and the condiments were excellent. Both of these dishes are normally served medium rare but can be cooked more if requested without being tough. We can also recommend the Panna Cotta and Pavlo for dessert"

  • "Amidst the hundreds of eating places in Niagara Falls – where the Sysco trucks line up to deliver the half-prepared dinners to the restaurant community – there is pure gold at AG. Since their namesake is silver (periodic table), either element is apropos to describe the chef-prepared, farm-to-table meals that are an oasis in this desert of real cooking. The chic cellar houses an intimate dining environment. We did watermelon salad with cucumbers and pickled onions, the red deer and the roast chicken, and desserts that are beyond the ordinary. Well-trained servers move fluidly, attending to every diner’s needs, we felt we got great value ($80 per person including cocktails, wine, coffee and dessert ) and a great experience."

The wine pairings also were oustanding with each course. My only criticism is that, for a fine dining experience, I felt that the courses came out a bit too quickly. I would have liked to have more time to savor the course I was finishing - and the wine pairing - before the next course arrived."

I decided to take the three courses with wine pairing, great choice as the wines were well suited for the courses.
