We brought our son to celebrate his birthday and it turned out to be one of the best celebrations ever. The food and the service were excellent. We had the Caesar salad prepared table side, steak Dianne also prepared table side, and they gave our son a free dessert for his birthday and then gave us a free cherries jubilee so that the new manager in training could prepare it for us. It was fabulous and we will return again for more of our special occasions. We highly recommend the Wheel Room! It has become one of our very favorite places.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time there. Complimentary cordial after the meal was an unexpected and delightful surprise.1/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAmbiance would have been 4Ambiance would have been 4 stars except it was cold in the dining room. My wife had to keep her coat on during dinner. That said, the food was excellent. Salads were really good and the short ribs were outstanding. The sides served with the short ribs were to die for. Green beans were perfectly seasoned and were truly crisp-tender. The mashed potatoes were (I hate to say this) as good as mine. It brought a tear to my eye to admit that. Then the tear streamed down my cheek when my wife agreed. Sigh. The apple dumpling dessert was excellent, as well. The pastry was perfect and the caramel sauce was outstanding.
