I've eaten at Aegean Cove a few years ago and i'm happy to say the quality both in food and service has not diminished. If you want an authentic greek food experience that is also affordable, then Aegean Cove is the place to go. I have every intention of returning to experience more dishes. The food is flavorful fresh with ingredients that pop in your mouth. It's a shame they are located in Astoria because more people should know about this truly hidden gem.

Excellent food and service. Fresh fish that you can't find all over. One complaint- they give you 2 tiny pieces of feta cheese in the Greek salad. What's up with that?

What happened? This had been our favorite Greek restaurant full of locals, great food and accommodating service. But some dishes were a disappointment, the waiter knew nothing about the food and we were steered or should I say pushed ("Trust me!") into a bottle of $9 California wine not on the menu and charged $50 as if we were tourists who would never come back. Kostas has been out with with a broken leg for a month. Is that the problem?

A gem of a restaurant. Food better than momma can cook. Whenever we come there is always a dish that completely knocks us off our feet. Waiters and staff are friendly and efficient. Ambiance is comfortable and relaxed. A great place for a drink or a meal.

The fish that my significant other and I ordered was cooked perfectly. The portions were large enough for food to be taken home. The atmosphere was very nice, with an outside dining area upstairs. The only complaint was a mix-up with the waiters so our main entrees arrived rather late. The staff was friendly but certainly not in a hurry.

What can you say about a meal that ran 3 1/2 hours? No apologies from anyone in restaurant. Food was fine except for the lamb shank which had virtually no meat. Server was nice but no one seemed to care. They ran out of all desserts but Baklava and wouldnt substitute. I know Mothers Day is always a tough night out but c'mon

I went on the website and saw they had a lunch menu. When I called Aegan Cove, I was told I can order from the lunch menu til 4pm. I was there before 4 and the manager said they haven't updated their website. I informed him that i sepcifically called and was told by a woman I can order from the lunch menu til 4pm. So he said I can order from the prifix menu. I ended up ordering from the prifix and didn't like my choices. Both of our meals were burnt where i only ate half of it. Also the rest. was empty and waiters took forever. I was very disappointed with this place. Plus the prifix was $23 and I got charged $28. Was told they couldn't change the price. I will never go here again.

Aegean Cove was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the reception to the after dinner drink, this restaurant was authentic and classy. The room is well but softly lit and the live music at 8pm was a nice touch. The Morouli salad was fresh and delicious, the feta and dill brought out by the E.V.O.O. and red wine vinegar. My Octopodi was perfecly cooked and seasoned. I also tried the Shrimp Santorini. the shrimp were perfect! There is also a nice selection of tea to drink with Loukoumades for dessert. Take my advice and eat here, I can't tell you how many people I've told about this meal that have said "I've always wanted to go there but...". No more "buts", New Yorkers. This Greek restaurant is amazing.

I arrived a bit earlier than the reservation time, 7:00pm, and hostess was very pleasant. I was taken to my table as soon as I arrived. I did not have to wait too long for the menus and water to be served. Enice, our waiter, was great. The food and service were great, making this experience marvelous. It is rare to find a dining place that combines both at its best. I truly will come back there and recommend this place.

This was our first trip to Aegean Cove. We were so impressed with straightforward, delicious flavors. Servings are huge. The mousakka was traditional, with a rich bechamel sauce and authentic Greek flavor. We also recommend the octopus and the gigante beans as appetizers. Very friendly service. Easy on-=street parking. We will be back.

We were looking for a nice Greek restaurant in Astoria and this was wonderful! From the minute we walked in, we were welcomed. The food was phenomenal: the Gigantes were the best I ever had, the squid was tender, the salads and fish extremely fresh and not overcooked or over dressed. Just when we thought it couldn't get better, they gave us a beautiful plate of complimentary desserts. Can't wait to to back!

Excellent service and great food, a perfect combination. The owner and his family do everything to make every visit seem like it is your special day. The appetizers are so good and so varied (the grilled greek cheese is excellent) you unfortunately have little room to finish it. Great wine from various greek vineyards (all for about $35-$45/bottle) make to complete pure pefection: great food, great service, great wine/drinks!! Highly recommend!

This was our second visit to Aegean Cove, and we found the food delicious, and the service attentive. Food courses are spaced nicely so that you never feel rushed. We actually spent almost 3 hours in the restaurant with friends. Unfortunately, when we received our bill, we noticed that we were charged for 2 bottles of wine when we only had one. While our waiter apologized profusely for the error and adjusted our bill immediately, this left a bad taste in all our mouths.I advise anyone who goes to this restaurant to check your bill carefully! We won't be going back anytime soon.

A real find....thanks to Open Table reviews! We were looking for a Greek restaurant in Astoria and, although a bit off the beaten path, our party of 5 was glad we made the small effort to find it. Food is authentic and flavorful. And the atmosphere is cozy and warm...unlike some of the more austere Greek Taverna-like restaurants. And the service was exceptional. We will go back and highly recommend.

Great Place. Service was spectacular. The one time the waiter was being held up by the other table, I could tell he was worrying about leaving our table alone. Shows he really cares. Did a spectacular job. Recommended great dishes and I enjoyed all of the food. 5 stars. Great for a date or any event really. Only complaint was that some of the other guests were a bit loud (especially after drinking a few), but that was not a big deal as the great service and food was that good that it overshadows anything else
