"The wait staff was excellent. $105 for tasting menu was reasonable and they didn't charge extra for water. The food was not up to the top level of NYC restaurants like Daniel, Eleven Madison, and even Le Cirque. Not all that interesting and a little bland. Deserts very good. Overall a very nice special occastion, but don't expect food fireworks."

"Food was great. The new chef is closer to original Alain Duicasse style, simple but solid. However, service was the worst I ever experienced in New York. They didn't ask me to taste champagne before pouring it. They didn't ask me whether everything was alright. Then they practically abandoned me for good thirty minutes before the main dish came out. No word of apology. Then another twenty minutes wait for dessert, which was 'dumped' all together with petit fours. Horrible service for a restaurant of this caliber. I have dined at Adour pretty many times, but this time it was the worst."

"It is definitely a 'Special Occasion' restaurant.
- I took a star off the Service because they never explained what the cheeses or accompaniments on my daughter's cheese plate were. But that's not to take away from the rest of the service. For example, the sommelier gave me a glass of white burgundy, which was very generous.
- I took two stars off the food because not everything worked. What DID work was the killer chocolate dessert. Absolutely divine.
- The decor makes you feel very special."

"We had the tasting menu, but since two of us did not want to have the venison, they replaced for another dish. I love their Seaurchin Homemade Pasta and they had no problems in replacing my venison for it. Also, two of us requested a wine pairing which was nicely done."

"My fam. and I dine at diff. Michelin* restaurants every Sat. night, but Adour is on our "short list" of places return to frequently. Inevitably you just want consistency, and that's what Adour is. The service is always seamless&impeccable from the hostess to servers to sommelier;food is delicious&finely prepared(we've tried just about everything now-all fantastic,but if it's your 1st I suggest foie gras,lobster or veal,and the choc.sorbet or vacherin);the best part is the pacing, you can really sit,relax,enjoy between courses from wine to dessert and never feel rushed,which really stands out;the room has a great subdued but lively atmosphere with ample spacing&privacy between tables. We will definitely return and recommend to all."

"There is hope for a recovery from the abyss at adour. The new chef who just recently took control of the kitchen has already made a positive difference
As a regular diner at this restaurant I am pleased to see that hotel management has seen the light and may help the restaurant achieve the level that it's diners expect. By the way even in its darkest days the wait staff never let us down. Always great service!"
