We started with an antipasto that was enough for the three of us.
Cresta de Gallo (house specialty) and was very good. Pappardelle with beef was also good, but I though the noodles were doughy. Portions were generous.
Desserts were good enough to keep you from walking over to Pastiche!
Service was fine - our young server was friendly and efficient. She greeted another couple who were repeat customers - nice touch.
A good addition to the other top choices on the hill. My wife has it on her list of favorites with Siena and Pane & Vino. We had to have the shrimp wrapped in italian ham,it was awesome to say the least. My wife had the Sea Scallops over Arugula,and I had the steak tips over Parpadelle. We've been on a saturday night before but after the hostess told us about the Italian menu they have just for 3 days we had to try it, we figured if their regular menu is so great the Italian has to be too, we were not disappionted at all. We've eaten at many Italian restaurants but this has topped them all, both menus of course. Meatballs fantastic, the italian gravy to die for just the right ingredients in both. The bolognese sauce was delicious, probably the best I've ever had and the wedding soup tastes just like my grandmother use to make. This is a must try new menu for Adesso. My wife and I have been to a lot of places on Federal Hill here in Providence, but we always leave Adesso happy. The food is incredible from their appetizers to desert, and the prices are very reasonable. They don't skimp on the ingredients, and you will likely need to brown bag some of whatever you ordered for another day. The appetizers are appropriately portioned, the main courses are huge and savory, the wine list complete, and deserts appropriately sinful. The serving staff has been wonderful every time we've been there, and the valet service is quick, easy, and so much better/easier/cheaper than driving around looking for an available spot. We use to frequent the old location on the Eastside and had just found out they had reopened. I wish we knew sooner (heard about this on Facebook and booked on Opentable) it was excellent! The personal attention you get is great, they treat you like family not just like a patron. We loved it and would highly recommend Adesso on the hill.
