A very nice resturant, food was great except the pasta was a bit hard and probably could use a few more minutes of cooking time. The special was steak, very flavorful but was also very chewy. Overall I would come back again to bring someone who hasn't been here before.

Very good food and service in a fairly unattractive room. Nortern Italian food (In style) with good presentation and a decent wine list. The beet salad appetiser was excellent, as was the elk entree. Other dishes were good too. Polite, helpful waiting staff.

    Dined on 3/10/2012
This was a unique experience. We have lived in Europe for the past 5 years and this is the first restaurant that we have been to since we came home that feels like we were back in Italy. From the friendly greeting at the door and the funny barman to the knowledgable server we were treated like family all the way. The food too, is unique and very well put together. We had an amazing beet salad and a crisp calamari followed by a house made pasta and a sablefish. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse. In addition to having great service and food, the restaurant is so comfortable. It was extremely busy as well and no one dropped the ball at all. Will absolutely be back often.

Have always enjoyed my meals and the service at Adesso. The menu exciting and deliciously prepared, the wait staff very attentive. Fortunately they have not taken on the dour attitude of the owner, who always looks grumpy, never receives customers warmly, walks around without inquiring on his customers welfare and only sucks up to a few chosen tables while completely ignoring all others. He should stay behind the scenes and hire a manager with a more welcoming and people pleasing attitude.

It was an amazing evening. The ambiance was added to the already delicious cuisine. Our server was prepared to guide us through the questions we had in order to make the most of our selctions, and he had a great command of the wine list. Prosecco on tap - need we say more?! We look forward to many repeat visits and an opportunity to work our way through the menu. Neither of us felt overstuffed and miserable as we left. We were sated but still comfortable. By the way, the chocolate dessert is the way to go!

We were so very pleasantly surprised to find this little restaurant within walking distance form our condo in Coal Harbour. We totally loved the atmosphere, device and food and would definitely return. I ordered the homemade smoked salmon appetizer and my husband ordered the beet and mozzarella salad....delicious! Our entrees, spaghetti with seafood and the sable fish were perfection! We finished off the evening with a lemon cake with buttermilk gelato and macarons...again, wonderful. The wine list is very good and staff is knowledgable, friendly and professional. Would recommend for a quiet evening out. We may have a new face place to go!

We went to Adesso for Valentine's day. Had to wait a little for our table but no big deal. It was a set manu that night. I'm vegetarian so there was only one option for the appie, first and second course, but they were all good. Had a beet salad with fennel, a fresh but not veey inspiring asparagus risotto, and a delicious eggplant and bean involtini. Dessert was chocolate three ways. The cake wasn't that great but the mousse and chocolate bar were yummy and the cashew mousse smaer was amazing.

A group of us dined here recently and it was the most positive experience ever. The food was outstanding. We shared appetizers: 1 mushroom pizza, 1 fritto misto, 1 beet salad with Buffalo mozz and 1 brasola. We enjoyed everything so much. This was followed by pastas, shortribs and lobster risotto and I managed a taste of everything and I have to say it was all excellent. The service was exceptional as well and our server did an great job with wine matching and general menu descriptions. The restaurant itself is cozy and homey and we just loved this place.

We chose Adesso on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the West End neighbourhood. We wanted to treat our out of town guests for New Year's Day. We were greetly warmly and sat down at our table. Our waiter was wonderfully attentive without being pushy. We went with his recommendations for appetizers of fritto misto di mare and la pizza ai funghi. I have to admit that when the fritto misto di mare hit the table, we were all a little horrified. There were sad looking bits of lightly fried seafood on a white plate accompanied by a few green pieces of greenery. The few shrimp was tiny and the calamari was scarce. Disappointing. The pizza was good, a little greasy. The short ribs and polenta were outstanding.

My evening at Adesso Bistro was nothing less than spectacular. They were able to accommodate a large party (20) on the evening of their last service before the holidays. The staff were very friendly and personable and greeted each and every one of us before seating our group. They food was delicious and the wine selection was very good. Timing was also spot on, despite having to feed such a large group. This was my first time back to this location after they changed their name and I can honestly say, the food is still excellent and the service is just as amazing. I would recommend anyone looking for a smaller, intimate restaurant that oozes charm! The location is sort of "off the beaten track" which adds to the romance of this little gem!
